New Priority Pass Restaurant at LAX + How to Access

Matthew Klint Posted onJune 11, 2018June 11, 2018 1 Comment

Barneys Beanery LAX Priority Pass

The latest addition to the Priority Pass restaurant portfolio is at Los Angeles International Airport.

Cardmembers now have access to Barney’s Beanery  in LAX’s Terminal 2. Members will be entitled to $28 credit, per-person. Credit can be used toward any food and drink, but not gratuity. Priority Pass members only have access to the restaurant between 10:30 a.m. and 12:00 a.m.

What does Barney’s serve? According to Priority Pass:

Barney’s Beanery serves a range of delicious food from Burgers, Soups, Salads, Chile and even items from South of the Border like Wet Burritos, Tacos and Quesadillas.

You can view the full menu here.

Interestingly, the restaurant opens early for breakfast but is not open to PP members until 10:30a. The likely culprit is the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse, which is open between 5:00 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. daily for Priority Pass members in T2. I’d wager that an exclusivity agreement with Virgin Atlantic prohibits any overlap with Barney’s Beanery.

If you are flying out any other terminal, reaching the restaurant will be difficult, though not impossible. While airside tunnels and bridges connect the Tom Bradley Terminal with Terminals 4-8, Terminals 1, 2, and 3 are islands right now. Eventually, all terminals will be connected airside, but completion of that project is years away. In the meantime, Delta, which operates in Terminals 2 and 3, does offer airside bus service. With a valid boarding pass, however, you can be flying out of any terminal and still access the restaurant.

CONCLUSION

I have a confession to make. I checked out this restaurant last night and will post a review later today. The verdict: a total mess last night. Let’s hope this was just a one-off.
