Great Coffee In Kuala Lumpur

I’m generally not a fan of chain coffee shops, but there some good ones, particularly outside the USA. I found a very nice coffee shop inside one of the busiest malls in Kuala Lumpur.

Best Coffee In Kuala Lumpur

The hotels I stayed in had very respectable coffee so my ventures to find coffee in KL were limited. One afternoon I did walk over to the bustling Suria KLCC shopping mall.

There are many coffee shops here, including one on top of the other on top of the other:

I decided to try Eight Ounce Coffee, called “Malaysia’s beloved homegrown brand.”

In addition to coffee, pastries including scones (one of my favorite treats, though I resisted), are available. Everything looked quite great.

I ordered a flat white and it was served in a canary yellow ceramic cup.

I sat in a small dining area adjacent to the restaurant.

Great coffee. Very good for a chain.

My former favorite place was called Aseana Cafe Bar, but it appears to have permanently closed…

CONCLUSION

I enjoyed a nice flat white at a chain coffee shop in KL…it is possible! I’ll return to Eight Ounce Coffee again next time.

I’m very open to any of your coffee recommendations in Kuala Lumpur!

    Damn-that’s expensive for a coffee!

That’s Malaysian Ringgit, so 13.80 was only 2.91 USD.

If you’re in Bombay or bangalore you have to check out third wave coffee. Their cold brew is amazing

A fun coffee thing in KL is to go to a street cafe and order a “Kopi-O ais.” It reminds me of iced Cuban coffee. Always cheap and available.
