Great Coffee In Warsaw, Poland

Matthew Klint Posted onAugust 9, 2022August 8, 2022 9 Comments

On our way out of Warsaw we stopped at a great café called Ministry of Coffee.

Best Coffee in Warsaw, Poland

To find coffee in cities I am unfamiliar with, I start by googling for “third wave” coffee and go from there. This place popped up and wasn’t far from our hotel, though not within walking distance. We decided to stop for coffee and a pastry on our way to Warsaw.

It was a cold and dreary day, perfect for coffee.

Typically a coffee shop open until 9:00pm is a warning sign. In my experience, the best coffee shops usually close at 3-4pm. But this was an excellent coffee shop and well worth the pain of trying to find a parking spot with our oversized Vovlo XC90 (parking can be a challenge in Warsaw even with a small car).

The coffee shop is located in the Śródmieście district of Warsaw, right next to a towering Roman Catholic Church called Kościół Najświętszego Zbawiciela (Church of the Holiest Saviour).

I loved how packed the café was and everyone seemed so cheerful (it was a Saturday…). Really, I just love the European coffee culture which is only slowly catching on in the USA.

I ordered a flat white with croissant and my friend had a latte with danish. Yum. The coffee was strong and the milk perfectly blended. The croissant was flaky and I tried a piece of the danish and found it superb.

The coffee and sweet treats fueled us all afternoon as we drove down to Krakow.

My coffee posts are never meant to be exhaustive, but posts from which I hope to build upon as I return to a place. I will certainly return to this coffee shop, but I always welcome your recommendations for other great coffee in Warsaw.

Nothing beats Polish pastries. Always so good.

“We decided to stop for coffee and a pastry on our way to Warsaw.” I think you mean Krakow?

Went to this place my last visit and agree — one of the best third wave shops in Warsaw. Coffeedesk and STOR were also quite good.

Lost interest when you wrote you parked a car in the city center. Warsaw has excellent public transportation. Use it and help offset those 200,000 air miles you burn through each year.

We were driving to Krakow to go to Auschwitz-Birkenau. This was on the way to Krakow. No apologies.

“No Apologies” clearly doesn’t care, but others may like to know that there are frequent high-speed trains between Warsaw and Krakow that are faster, safer, cheaper, and more eco-friendly than driving. And if you don’t want to experience the same pain trying to park near Ministry of Coffee, you have a choice of six tram lines running right in front of the shop and a metro stop a block away.
