How about a little humor to lighten our day courtesy of comedian Bill Maher and at the expense of Spirit Airlines and the fine folks of Florida?
Bill Maher Thinks Spirit Airlines Has A Florida Problem With New Dress Code
Maher often jokes about airlines in the “New Rules” segment of his weekly HBO series Real Time. Last Friday, he shared some colorful commentary on the new dress code Spirit Airlines recently launched, which we covered here. The new dress code bans see-through clothing, the inadequate covering of “private” parts, and body art that may be lewd or offensive.
Maher commends Spirit Airlines for implementing a dress code with “real teeth” but then says, “But they have to make a choice. They can either really enforce such a dress code or they can fly to Florida, but they can’t do both.”
As the audience laughs, Maher suggested new boarding groups for the discount carrier:
“It would be a lot easier just to make the dress code violators into boarding groups. Barefoot and inadequately clothed, group one. Offensive and lewd tattoos, group two. Group three is illegal immigrants and the good news is that Trump is flying you home for free.”
Beyond the humor, does Maher have a point? Is the dress code fundamentally incompatible with the carrier?

Funny . Yet a correct dress code is for the benefit of civilized people . No more smells accompanying passengers .
Also a correct music code would go a long way to clean up the “entertainment” . For example , no more “rap noise” .
I think Spirit should be more focused on the 2nd offer it has rejected from Frontier since filing for Chapter 11.
Spirit needs a dance partner, and soon!!
Let’s hope Spirit can persuade United Airlines to dance with her. Compared to Frontier, UAL is stronger financially, and more importantly, UAL has small market share in Floride, which is important for antitrust concern.
