Comedian Carrot Top was onboard the American Airlines flight in which a woman had a meltdown over an imaginary passenger onboard. He’s now given us a bit more insight into what led to the breakdown in the first place.
Carrot Top Provides Info On Odd Breakdown By American Airlines Passenger
There was great interest in the story about an American Airlines passenger who refused to remain onboard an AA flight from Dallas (DFW) to Orlando (MCO) out of fear for a passenger onboard…who she believed was not real.
“I’m telling you, I’m getting the f*** off and there’s a reason why I’m getting the f*** off and everyone can either believe it or they can not believe it!
“I don’t give two f****, but I am telling you right now – that m*****f***** back there is NOT real. And you can sit on this plane and you can die with them or not. I’m not going to.”
(I won’t embed the NSFW video again, but if you care to watch it you can find it in my original post).
Now the comedian Carrot Top, whose real name is Scott Thompson, has shared on Instagram that he was on the flight and that that issue all started… because the woman lost an Apple AirPod.

He later lamented that he had missed the fireworks by the time he arrived home (though this incident did not occur on Independence Day):

“Hats off to American Airlines how they handled this situation tonight. It’s really is maddening how one nut job can ruin everyone’s plan.”
The woman had a psychotic episode and I realize some may wish to defend her or at least shield her from the public spotlight. However, her outburst spoiled the plans of everyone onboard…as Carrot Top attested…and to assume she is simply a victim is questionable at this point.
It appears this was the flight in question:
(I see no flight on July 2nd or July 3rd that arrived five hours late)
The identity of the woman or the nature of her outburst is still not clear.
CONCLUSION
The comedian Carrot Top claims he was onboard the American Airlines flight in which a woman suffered a meltdown over a “ghost” or “imaginary person” onboard. It appears the delay was prompted by a lost earphone…which makes this whole incident all the more mysterious…

Well. That went from weird to weirder.
What’s the over/under on him paying her to go nuts just so he could get in the media and remind the world he’s still alive?
Was he the ghost maybe?
He sure looks like a spook.
No kidding, he looks awful. Remember when he had his own show…at the Luxor
He is still at Luxor every Tuesday thru Saturday and makes 8 million dollars per year.
It’s disappointing if you do not think people with mental disabilities should be defended.
Maybe she doesn’t have such a disability.
Tack it onto the long list of questionable stances taken by Matt and his contributors on this blog
Everyone is not a victim, Emach.
And yet you are so quick to judge
Carrot Top lives in the Orlando area so that does fit that he would be onboard a flight to MCO.
