Hot Deal: Delta Business Class – Los Angeles to Santiago, Chile – $695 R/T

Delta Business Class Deal

Delta Air Lines is offering cheap fares from Los Angeles to Santiago, Chile for $695 round-trip in business class, an incredible deal. Whether you’ll be able to leave your hotel is another matter…

Deal: Delta One Business Class For $695 R/T – LAX to SCL

From February through May, Delta is offering business class (“Delta One”) fares from Los Angeles to Santiago via Atlanta for $695 round-trip. If you have access to the American Express International Airline Program, the price drops to $607 round-trip. If you hold an Amex Platinum Business Card and redeem American Express Membership rewards points for the trip, the round-trip will cost only 39,445 points for the return ticket. That’s incredibly attractive.

Expect narrowbody equipment between Los Angeles and Atlanta, and a 767-300 (which Live and Let’s Fly has reviewed here and here) between Atlanta and Santiago.

You can search and book via Google Flights here.

I’ll be passing on this deal, attractive as it is. Chile is a wonderful country to visit and Americans are allowed to visit with a negative COVID-19 PCR test. However, a 10-day quarantine is required, which defeats the purpose of going unless you are mileage running.

Do note you do not have to stay 10 days. However, you must quarantine while you are there. The fare nets 2,950 SkyMiles, 19,920 MQMs, and $590 MQDs if you do not have status. A few of these runs coupled with a Delta co-branded credit card could get you SkyMiles status fairly easily.

CONCLUSION

We’ve seen some incredible fares to Latin America lately. While United and LATAM are not offering fares quite as cheap, United is only charging about $1300 round-trip, another great deal to consider if you prefer Star Alliance.

Will you take advantage of this Delta Business Class deal to Chile?

Same story for AA right now but even better since it worked for nearly any city in the US to several cities in South America (Rio, Santiago, Buenos Aires etc.) for ~$600-$650. Example AUS-DFW-EZE business class for $610. Simply incredible

This can’t be right. No way. I predict a mistake fare and if AA is matching it this is an automated system to peg itself to Delta. Let’s see. Damn, would love to jump on this.

How interesting; I just looked at Google flights for a 12 day window, and the lowest fare anywhere between February and May is $1300 according to their charts.
