Dividend Miles members: sign up here for double elite qualifying miles and double redeemable miles for travel between April 13 and June 15 on US Airways. Unfortuantely, the extra points are only eligible for tickets booked after you sign up for the promotion. Additionally, all flights must be on US Airways metal.
Will this unleash promotions from the legacy carriers? I doubt it. Planes have been full, revenue is up, capacity is down, and there are already too many elites from the last two years of DEQM promotions.
But hats off to US Airways’ idea of double RDMs and EQMs. I would love to see other carriers simply match the double RDMs, but if I had to choose between double RDMs and EQMs or nothing, I’d take the extra points–even if it meant the occassional flight in the back due to the extra upgraders.
