EL AL is out with a clever new safety video that involves a bit of magic and a bit of slight of hand. I’ll give the airline credit for creating a gripping safety video.

I’m not a psychologist and cannot explain how the power of suggestion works, but it seems the chosen card stood out for being red and displayed clearly for a few extra nanoseconds. Either that, or…
But it is highly entertaining and at least for me, quite spellbinding. That’s the mark of well-done safety video.
It reminds me of the Turkish Airlines video, which also uses similar optical illusions, but the EL AL one is even better.

CONCLUSION
I cannot wait to fly EL-AL, hopefully later this year or early in 2019. The carrier not only has a new safety video, but a beautiful new business class cabin aboard its new 787 aircraft. We’ve heard rumors of 787s service starting at LAX, but thus far the 777 persists…that’s not a first or business class product I care to waste 200K miles on.
