Another entry on my bucket list will soon be checked off…I’m finally flying Emirates’ lovely new first class product aboard the 777-300ER!
After finishing up my business in the UAE, my original plan was to fly to Colombo and catch a cheap flight home. But the more I thought about it, the more I thought now would be a better opportunity to experience Emirates’ latest first class product, found on only nine 777-300ER aircraft.
One Mile at a Time pointed out that the new first class operated to Houston earlier in the week. Had award space opened on that flight, I would have jumped on it in a heartbeat. Sadly it did not.
The 77W is not operating to Frankfurt, Amsterdam, or Vienna this week so I focused on space to London (Stansted) or Brussels. London was my first choice. Not only would the flight be a bit longer, but I would then have several options to get back to the USA or Germany. Unfortunately, space also did not open to London.
But space did open to Brussels, so I booked it. It was painful to spend 85,000 Emirates Skywards points plus $400 for a 7-hour flight, but…I get to fly Emirates new first class! Soon I will get to experience what many regard as the world’s superlative first class product. Stay tuned for a very detailed trip report.
CONCLUSION
I’m truly excited…my expectations are dangerously high. But I think this beats an angled-business class 777-200 Emirates review to Colombo via Male followed by flights on Kuwait Airways, right?
Let me know if there is anything specific you would like me to look for onboard.
Have FUN! Not so bad a price. I spent 190.000 SQ Miles (+$100) to fly SQ’s new A380 suites SYD-SIN, although I also got a first class seat on SQ B777 to Tokyo 🙂
Or fly BRU-DXB-HND for about $3,200.00 and get 28,500 AS points and 15K AMEX points using bus platinum card. Both flights on new 777. I’m in.
I think you may have screwed up the category this article is in…
NEXT UP: EMIRATES 777-300ER NEW FIRST CLASS!
Not really. BRU-DXB-HND is flown with EMIRATES 777-300ER NEW FIRST CLASS!
Why do you fly in the United States and “support“ Trump?
That guy really puts the “a” in a-hole.
Enjoy the flight Matthew. Should be a great review.
Your story is for us to envy..only fortunate ones like you get the chance to fly first class..Oh well, enjoy and only in our dreams hahaha.
do u get a chef and butler??? food choices and champagne>??
No chef or butler; it’s not Etihad. But certainly a nice champagne and excellent food. I’ll have details about the flight tomorrow.
