“Rebellious” Woman Attacks Emirates Airport Staff In Mexico City

A “rebellious” passenger attempting to travel on an expired passport threw a temper tantrum then attacked an Emirates employee at Mexico City after she was denied boarding.

In A Fit Of Rage, “Rebellious” Passenger Attacks Emirates Staff After She Is Denied Boarding

In a wild video captured by an onlooker, a woman is seen at the check-in desk at Terminal 1 of Mexico City’s Benito Juárez International Airport. According to Emirates, she attempted to check-in late and presented an expired passport.

When she was informed that she would not be permitted to travel, she became agitated, charged behind the counter, struck a member of check-in staff. She then proceeded to climb up onto a check-in desk, grab hold of the monitor above the desk, and shout.

Police were summoned and the woman was restrained and taken away. Her present location is not clear.

Emirates released the following statement, calling the woman “rebellious” and abusive:

“We can confirm that on November 1, an incident occurred at the check-in counter at Mexico City International Airport, in which a passenger who arrived late at the check-in counter was also discovered to be traveling with an expired passport.

“The client was denied the trip, and she became rebellious and physically abusive with the ground staff — so it was necessary for airport security and police to intervene.”

Travel is complicated. Travel can be aggravating. But I do not have much sympathy for a passenger who 1.) shows up late with 2.) an expired passport. Did she really expect to just slide by?

I feel quite bad for the member of check-in staff who was on the receiving end of this passenger’s physical and verbal abuse. That is not part of the job description and no one should be in fear of being attacked when showing up to work.

CONCLUSION

An Emirates check-in agent was attacked at Mexico City Airport after refusing to issue a boarding pass to a woman who attempted to check-in past cutoff with an expired passport. Beyond anger management classes, I hope this passenger is held accountable for her unseemly outburst.

Silly female, just walk across the border into the United States, no passport required. Pick up some fentanyl on the way and make some extra cash. And then head to Georgia and enjoy a free buffet at Golden Corral during Stacey Abrams election loss denial party. The election lies will be plentiful but if you don’t get there before Stacey, the food won’t be. America, November 2022, where the left is the election deniers.

You obviously don’t listen to what the beast is claiming. Already blaming everyone and everything for why she is losing big time in GA. It’s not hard to research her silly claims.

Not as strong as the “things” you like to stick in your mouth to keep you happy. Hey, as long as they are 18, it’s isn’t my business, right Aaron?

You might need a couple extra tonight to get over your hatred of Americans who voted your beliefs down. Hopefully the guy in the next airport restroom stall understand you were only tapping your toes.

Well, thanks for letting us know you are very homophobic as well as other unsavory qualities. How Matthew lets comments like these stay, I’ll never understand.

I’m going to admit, I once tried to check-in late for EK back in 2018 thanks to forgetting that there was construction on NY 27 going to JFK from Manhattan and mistiming my cab to get to JFK. When I got to JFK, I was polite and explained my situation, and the wonderful EK staff rebooked my itinerary to the next day. I learned to always have a few hours to spare just in case things like this happen and to fly Blade to get to JFK.

EK staff are generally wonderful, even at outstations, based on the past ten years of flying with Emirates where I’ve held EK Platinum the past eight years. It’s not going to do anyone any good if one starts assaulting staff for things that were one’s own fault, like not getting to the airport on time or even renewing one’s passport when it’s expired. Hope this person faces the appropriate repercussions for her actions.

I wish I could run into colorful characters like that when I travel. It makes time at the airport so much more interesting.

Book a Spirit or AA to Miami. I guarantee you’ll see at least a couple of degenerates in that itinerary.

There’s always two sides to a story; I’d like to hear her side before laying blame and judgement of anger management class.

There’s no way you can possibly justify what this nutcase did.

While it’s nice to give people the benefit of the doubt, her passport was expired. I’m not sure what she was expecting once she arrived at the airport, as an expired passport isn’t exactly something airlines will make an exception for or look the other way.
