I Have A New Favorite Priority Pass Restaurant!

I was recently flying through Houston and noticed that Cadillac Mexican Kitchen & Tequila Bar was on the Priority Pass restaurant list. I now have a new favorite Priority Pass restaurant!

I’m a sucker for good Mexican food (or Tex Mex) and nothing hits the spot like enchiladas with beans and rice. I ordered a three enchilada plate with one cheese, beef, and chicken enchilada. Yum, yum, yum.

My layover was long enough to try both this restaurant and Landry’s Seafood, but I hate wasting food and was too stuffed for a second lunch (followed by two dinner flights on United), so I checked out the Air France and KLM lounges instead. I’ll put up reviews for all establishments, but do give Cadillac a try if you have a Priority Pass card issued by Chase.

I look forward to returning for breakfast next time and ordering the same thing if I happen to be there later in the day.

Up until this point, my favorite Priority Pass restaurant has been Rock & Brews in Terminal 1 at LAX. I still like it, but the food at Cadillac was simply better.

That doesn’t look as good Mexican food, more like super fat Tex Mex stuff…

So you’re the bean eater who sits next to me on flights!

As a Certified Native Texan, that actually does look like pretty good Tex-Mex. It’s got the proper cheese overdose, anyway.

BTW, “Tex-Mex” is a term specific to the regional variation/corrupted version of Mexican food found in Texas, sometimes called “San Antonio style” Mexican food. It is a term most assuredly NOT to be used to describe that Cali-Mex garbage you West Coasters eat. 🙂

I am sure it tastes great but that food looks disgusting. Wish tex mex had better presentation styles.

Landry’s for me, as it’s just on the way to my terminals. I’ve yet to try out Cadillac since it’s so out of the way

I tried Landry’s at IAH a couple of days ago. Was not impressed by the food or the service. They only seemed to have PP customers.

I only wish that Bambuza, the Vietnamese restaurant in Seattle, wasn’t on the opposite side of the airport from Terminal A. It’s nice to have a fresh bahn mi or bún packed up for the flight or for the train ride into the city.

I had an extended layover in IAH back in November. I made the trek over to Terminal A for dinner at Cadillacs instead of eating my way through the lounges. It was definitely worth the hike. I think I had enchiladas, chips and salsa and a margarita and was slightly over my $28. Then I made my way over to the Air France/KLM lounges for some more drinks and dessert.
