A female passenger on my Austrian Airlines flight from Frankfurt to Vienna decided to use the flight to walk laps up and down the aisle…was it just to show off her body, was she crazy, or perhaps both?
Flaunting Woman Walks Laps On My Austrian Airlines Flight
While we can live and let live on Live and Let’s Fly, sometimes I do wonder what goes through people’s minds on an airplane. Even before we had taken off, a blonde-haired woman wearing short shorts and a sports bra strutted from the front to the back of the aircraft. I only noticed her because she then proceeded to the front and walked back again. She was looking around, perhaps for a friend, I thought? A flight attendant told her (in German) to sit down for takeoff.
We took off. Even before hitting initial cruise altitude the woman popped up again and made a lap from the front to the back of the cabin. She did not even stop in the back.
Flight attendants sprung up about this time to perform their service, which goes much faster these days on Austrian, considering the airline is now buy-on-board in economy class.
After the completion of service, guess who made another appearance? And other one?
I was really confused…what could she have possibly be doing? Other passengers were confused too. If it was attention that she was seeking, she was certainly getting it now.
Several more times before landing she strutted up and down the aisle. You could just see in her face as she walked that she was trying to make eye contact with other passengers, perhaps for approval or validation?
Look lady, you’re free to show off your body all you want…but onboard an airplane is really not the place for it.
CONCLUSION
We landed and she certainly did not try to fight upstream traffic for one more catwalk. Whatever her motives, I found the whole incident rather strange.
Sorry I only have that picture above. With EU privacy laws as strict as they are, I figured that was enough to make my point.
Why would you assume she is looking for approval or validation as you stated? That says more about you than about her, just saying.
With respect, why else would she act the way in which she did? To close her rings?
My wife and i do this every 30 minutes or so just to stretch our legs since it is difficult to sit so long and hard on your back
Me too
I do as well.. I get anxiety from flights and this really helps me from feeling overwhelmed.
20+ times on a 45-minute flight?
Would you have said that if she was unattractive?
Yes.
Matt. You may have missed your opportunity at joining the mile high club.
Garbage observation. Wtf -this doof is the one seeking attn. GET A LIFE
Was it 20+ times? Was it really, Matt?
Considering how devoid of value this blog post was, I have my doubts. I have never even heard of this website before now, but am so compelled to comment as I am so utterly offended that someone wasted not only my time in reading this, but any time at all in thinking it, much less writing and publishing it.
It is a sin against all creatures who experience time, to have one waste so much of it on something so utterly stupid.
Yeah, they’re tripping because it’s obvious she has issues & the majority of them do! Zoloft probably hadn’t kicked in!
Bitch looked hella thick.. be curious to see that big white butt
On flights I sometimes walk when my back is hurting me and will stretch. She probably wanted to stretch but it honestly is embarrassing. Be kind.
She would be a great creampie!
Your eife probably isn’t wearing what this woman was. THAT is the give away here. What she was wearing AND her Narcissistic Parade
Me too…to stretch all my legs veins and my waist…. with a long flight I will walk from the front to the of the cabin…
I find this strange that you AND your wife do this. I mean if you do this or if she does this then ok. Like can’t you guys think for yourself?
Me too.
Maybe she had been told by her doctor to keep moving to prevent D V T.
I suffered that on a flight and on the way home, I got up and walked about. You have to keep the blood circulating.
Exactly my thoughts.
I experienced DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) due to a non-stop Virgin Atlantic flight from London to Los Angeles 10 years ago.
I almost passed away 3 weeks later from a resulting Pulmonary Embolism.
It’s ok, but what is strange is her attire.
First thing I thought about when I started to read this story was: 1). She wanted to get some circulation going through her veins and/or 2) perhaps she deals with anxiety. I’m hip …. Been there done that. No letter what her reason….unless one knows the truth, don’t be judgey. Maybe you shoulda chatted with her and inquired
Article says short flight
Seriously. There are a lot of suppositions in this “article”. My first thought was that she wa concerned about DVT, or she had Restless Leg Syndrome. If she was ugly would the author make the same assumptions? Isn’t this bias against attractive women problematic? The use of words like “strutting” really bothers me. Is the author sure that this is not her natural stride?
Just reading this gave me DVT but not in my legs!
You surely are a self absorbed, priceless waste of column inches
Agree 100%!
Ahhh F1Rumors… Just stick a thumb in your mouth and suck a little bit harder. There, there, are you feeling better now ?
That is the funniest thing I have read in a long…so descriptive and brilliant…I can visualize this…I laughed so hard…you are a true comedian…thank you for that
I feel dumber for having read this blog. WTF.
I enjoyed this, these other people are just lame.
If she had passed by me and made eye contact especially after a few times I would’ve invited her to sit with me and get aquainted. What’s the big deal? If she refused my invitation I would then ask her what she was looking for going up n Down the aisle.
.
i love wht you do mathew and like you but since you dint take the initiative to talk to the lady and atleast get a piece of her mind then dont judge her.
Saddam… Yes because it’s always a good idea to stop and engage in conversation with mentally Disturbed who are just looking for an altercation.
Why did you show her booty?
Yours is the best comment because I see what you did…
You used your name in your comment.
Berry Punny!
She could have just had a 12 to 14 hour flight from the US. You have to get up and move around. Her attire was a little odd. I can honestly say I have never seen a woman in sports bra and short shorts in Europe but have seen it in US.
David ?… Why didn’t the woman walk around during her 12 to 14 hour flight why on a short flight ? So you’re saying she was using a wheelchair when she was at the airport terminal getting from one flight to the other.
I see what you’re saying.
Why are you so judgmental? Why do you even care? Did she intrude in to your space?
So you have no evidence. You are just making up your own truth. Wow. Try again bud. You have 2 pictures of a woman and are creating your own narrative. You should run for president in the USA
Carl dear, it’s called a blog.
Gezzzz, this is a common issue among a lot of people mostly women who displace their weirdness and strange bizarre behaviors in public.
I’m an avid flyer, you also see this type of bizarre behavior displayed in many airports around the world. It puzzles me greatly and keeps me aware to keep my distance even further apart.
Just sit back and enjoy the view.
I agree with you – this woman displayed very odd behavior. I’m amused at how many commenters don’t seem to find her actions unusual and/or excessive and the snarky, short-sighted remarks they send.
Matthew dear it is called trolling and shaming with a dose of sexism thrown in
How erudite. Wow!
Erudite unlikely… Eloquent perhaps
Matt, dear, it’s a blog you choice to write, publish, and then comment on the comments.
It’s sad. Don’t be upset when your public blog gets publicly called out for being sad.
This is a sad article. Maybe in 15 years, you’ll be looking at your works and understand how sad this was.
It’s very, very sad.
A boring blog because you have nothing of substance to say.
Carl.. stfu. He can’t rip you because he has to be professional but I… Will do it.
Robin lmao, the only thing you’re ripping here is a fat fart, i can smell it all the way from over here
Why is this important?
You sound like a dick.
Maybe she’s a nervous flyer and was walking as an anxiety reliever.
You didn’t say anything about minding her short shorts and sports bra, creep.
I think one judges based on ones own personal experiences or mindset. There was absolutely nothing wrong with her behavior. In fact doctors will always stress to get up every 20 to 30 minutes on long flights to prevent blood clots. But what really concerns me about your article is your quick negative judgment on a person regardless of their sex or appearance. You dont know if she suffers from anxiety on planes. Maybe this is her way of coping. Just because someone doesn’t meet your mindframe of what constitutes as normal does not mean they are abnormal. Dont be quick to judge others because on doing so you are judged as well and in tjis case not favorably.
You realize if you read the article and the responses. 20 plus times on a short 45 minute flight. That means she spent the majority of the time walking. To each there own for what he/she wants to wear. But to wear basically undergarment and shorts on a plane that could of had underaged children. Like i said could. Was not the appropriate thing to be wearing.
I think it’s ridiculous. If she had a baby that was crying or was going to the bathroom, this is ok. Imagine if more people wanted to get up to stretch their legs or alleviate anxiety. Her behavior was odd because she got up so many times on a short flight, and she was told to sit down. It would make people nervous to see someone doing this when everyone else has to sit; no matter one’s gender or level of attractiveness. I’ve traveled to 131 countries so far and I have seen plenty of people try to do what this passenger does, and they were instructed to go back to their seat. If they want more room to stretch they can buy a first class ticket or an economy plus ticket. If I can handle 13 hour flights in my 80s, in economy, with arthritis, neuropathy and a Baker’s cyst, then so can someone a lot younger, and who is fit. Would people be so kind and dismissive of the behavior if the passenger were a male? The flight is less than an hour so it is unusual to keep getting up.
that picture was weak! you could have at least gotten a close-up of the short shorts – front rear, side view!
just don’t share the face and privacy will not be violated, haha
Maybe you should just mind your own business. How’s that for a new trendy topic. I would love it, if every passenger on my flights would just mind their own business and let people travel in peace instead of posting every single thing like a 13 year old looking for attention. Also, I would love it if certain passengers wouldn’t get up every two minutes to get something from the overhead compartment and smash the doors closed several times like an out of control gorilla in mid flight. You know who you are, dude! That guy that slams overhead doors and sits down with whole body weight and the plane rocks. Idiots! I would love to be on a flight where attractive women parade past me making eye contact. Heck I would be trying to strike up a conversation instead of posting on my celly like a little girl. I get up to walk around sometimes too, what’s the big deal? Sometimes flights are too long and you need to move around.
Hey Stan !….. how about you look up the word hypocrite.
I think you’re missing something. Step counting, step apps, fit bits etc. People set a daily step goal and obsessively stick to it. She was just getting her steps, but feel free to reach your own negative conclusions.
Steve… Yes there’s time and place for everything, but the airplane is not the time or place to do that.
If you can’t behave yourself for a short few minute flight and you can’t tell the difference between wrong and right there’s definitely something mentally wrong with you.
I trust this man’s ability to distinguish normal behavior from bizarre. We weren’t there, and I believe that, of ALL the life experiences of the author, he can tell when something seems weird. Why she did it is a mystery Maybe shes showing her body, maybe she has hemorrhoids, maybe she took LSD and the gnome asked to her too. Myself, the way I’m programmed, I would have asked her after why she was doing it. Usually the reason for weird stuff, because I always talk to anyone and have no shame, but the reasons usually make perfect sense once you know why.
Oh goody, another man angered by the action of a woman. Perhaps she has a circulation disorder. Perhaps restless leg syndrome. Claustrophobia. A neurodivergent situation. The list goes on. Look buddy, the days of criticizing and making fun of another’s actions just because it seemed strange to you are waning. Bottom line, she didn’t disrupt your food service or endanger the flight. And your comment about her searching for eye contact could have been her reading the room to see if she was bothering or in someones way. Live and let live, my dude.
Wow !! McBride…. You must be fun at parties !
And what about people who get anxiety on a cramped plane and then some weirdo starts pacing up and down the aisle trying to force eye contact while you’re trying to catch a few Zs and not talk to anyone? What if everyone on that 45 min flight was concerned about DVT and started pacing up the aisles? Chaos. She should have been forced to take her seat and stop bothering people.
I think it’s the short bus you can start traveling in with your buddy Joe!
Another judgemental butt head. She gave and honest opinion with probable reasoning. It seem the because she was a woman it upset you and since you had no facts you went to “what if ” scenario. As they say in the US “what if frogs hand wings” the point is that highly improbable. So get on board try to open your mind to the and not what you want it to be. There is no constant norm just a bunch of hypocrites trying to impose their desires on others.
She could be suffering from restless leg
She was probably just working on getting her 10,000 steps in for the day…many people are pretty fanatical about that these days.
Doesn’t give her the right to disturb everyone in an aisle seat who’s trying to grab some shut eye
As a Flight Attendant, I likely would have made my colleagues aware of this situation. Why? Because it is unusual behavior to walk continuously up/down the aisles prior take-off, and to resume doing so before leveling out. However, part of my responsibilities is to notate behaviors that appear to be out of the ordinary. One of us would have engaged her in a casual conversation to determine if her actions were something that needed to be brought to the attention of the cockpit.
While it’s not uncommon to walk the aisles to stretch, it is unusual to do so continuously.
It’s also common for passengers to notice uncommon behaviors of other passengers, but it is a bit unusual for someone, even a travel blogger, to initiate a public discussion regarding this particular behavior, esp given the blogger’s conclusion for the motive behind this passenger’s action. Slow day, perhaps?
Once on a long BA flight on First, I took time to stretch and do push ups, the cabin crew loved it. Even when I fly business (longhaul) I do stretches near the galley – after asking the crew.
There are many reasons that someone would walk back and forth… If they have anxiety about flying… If they get motion sickness if they’re sitting still for too long… If they are autistic… If they have a history of blood clots… There are so so many valid reasons for why somebody would want to walk back and forth the entire flight…
You sure do make a lot of assumptions and assertions. Without all of the information, and without speaking with the person, you have no idea and therefore you are assumptions could be misogynistic, ableistic, neurotypical, and most likely simply a projection of how you view people in the world around you.
If you would like to work on having more of an open mind, I am an emotional wellness life coach.
Bells Craig ….So what you are saying is you are a high School dropout, self-proclaimed expert with a degree in basket weaving from community college, who puts everyone around them down to make your self look smart.
All the author said was, that he found the attire for the occasion and behavior very odd that’s it.
If all he says was her behavior and attire were strange he wouldn’t be getting flamed in the comments. People are dragging him for jumping with no evidence to the conclusion that obviously the only possible explanation for her behavior is that she’s “flaunting” “strutting” “looking for attention” and “narcissistic” – the first of which is in the damn title of the post. It’s a tired, misogynistic trope to attribute women’s behavior as something they’re doing for the attention of others instead of for our own benefit. And it reveals the extent up which some men lack the imagination to suppose a woman’s life is anything more to her than it is to him: something for him to watch.
I love how you insinuate that just because someone has these issues that it gives them the right to disturb everyone around them. I am cursed with aisle seats everything I fly. I also like to sleep through flights because I get anxious while flying. After this chick made her third pass we would have had an issue. Someone pacing back and forth would only add to my flight anxiety. Instead of trying to make this woman out to be a victim, how about considering the ones she’s bothered who don’t blog about it.
Matt, ya need to get around around a little more. You are looking at an every day lap dancer. Not the kind that works in a strip bar, but one who pactices by the same format. She does all in her power to titilate you, and so long as all you do is drool, she wins. But dare you reach out to
touch or speak witout permission, she cries foul and demmands, how dare you. Best response, disregard. This one may be one step from being a true matadoor — one who waves the red cape trying to incite the bull to charge — and if the bull is dumb enough to charge for the red cape, he discovers a sword waiting for him hiding behind the cape.
When you have a bad case of restless leg syndrome on a flight, people around you think you have demons inside because you keep jumping and twitching randomly. It’s awful, the only remedy is to get up and walk. That is the most logical explanation here.
I’m a Flight Attendant and you are correct. It wasn’t to stretch or prevent DVT. She’s just another crazy!
Well the last flight I was on was 12 hours long and the Chinese lady I sat next to didn’t once get up and go to the toilet! Drinks were served about every 30 minutes and she finished them all. But where did it all go. She was in the window seat and I was in the aisle seat and I know it’s not nice being trapped in a window seat for a long time, having to ask each time to get out so many times I made it easy for her to go in and out but not one time did she leave her seat. Was it that she was afraid or couldn’t speak? Was she concerned about the hygiene if the loo? Just saying she’s crazy is too simple, There’s gotta be a reason. Was she secretly peeing in a bag in her chair!!!!? I mean 12 whole hours without a pee!!!! I think I’d explode!!
Blood clotting disorder. I have one. I have to walk around and I tell flight staff ahead of time. It’s not uncommon. We are more likely to clot on flights and this is what drs advise us to do in addition to drinking a lot of water and wearing compression stockings. I hate to think that people would think I’m trying to get attention. I e had this clotting disorder my entire life so did this as a young woman on flights.
Right…because athletic women wearing booty shorts and a sports bra have such problems with DVT lol cmon now…
Lol. I’m on blood thinners and claustrophobic and I don’t think I walked that much on a flight to the Middle East.
Let alone a 45-minute flight!
Wow, I think if there’s anyone “weird” in this scenario it’s you. Why are you so consumed by this? Seriously, why are you such a whiny McWhiner! Mind your own business man.
There’s only 2 reasons you posted this..1 your not familiar with in flight exercise, or 2 you don’t have anything to write about… sorry but your article was a waste of time..
In flight workouts?! On a 45 min flight…you’re kidding right? You can always spot the unempathetic virtue warriors. They fight for someone’s right to do something but considers NOONE else involved in the situation. How about the autistic kid who gets anxious when someone starts pacing past them trying to force eye contact. How about the person who has an aisle seat and is trying to sleep. How about the person who is socially anxious and doesn’t appreciate the constant eye contact. None of them matter right? Just the one person exhibiting unusual behavior deserves to be comfortable while making everyone else uncomfortable lol insanity
Matthew – aren’t you glad you started this kerfuffle?
Anything you write can bring out the two extreme wings of opining.
And the sane are left in the middle, amazed at the sheer diversity of opinion.
Good luck to you!
I have a genetic disorder that I am on medication for. It causes my body to get blood clots and I have been advised by my doctor to get up and walk every hour. I am careful to not interfere with the service of the flight attendants when I do this. However, I’m dressed conservatively and certainly not trying to draw attention to myself.
Like many others have stated, she may have been very anxious and claustrophobic. I suffer from both and that’s why I’ve never flown before. Claustrophobia is a horrible thing to have and I’m guessing too that maybe her scant attire could be a result of that as well.
When you are in a situation that can cause panic from claustrophobia, certain restrictive clothing can make you feel even worse. I would have rather seen her walking it off vs sitting there in one spot and possibly burst out in a panic attack.
This post is disturbing it’s condescending and ignorant judgement. She likely was walking the aisles to prevent DVT, or to deal with back problems such as herniated discs where sitting more than 10 m’invites can be painful. Or maybe she just plain enjoys walking rather than sitting g. Her appearance is completely besides the point
This is news? This is a pathetic article on the caliber of a jealous H.S. girl upset a cuter girl is wearing the same outfit.
Jump out the window and save us from your trash writing.
She could have been trying to get her step count in. I walk laps in the airport while waiting. The stewardesses noticed and put me on the emergency exit. Therefore, they approved. Flying is hard on the body. People die from blood clots due to sitting too long on flights.
Maybe a little less judgemental would help? You could have taken auch more positive approach.
Very simple. She had an anxiety to flying and walking helps her cope with the anxiety. Or she is at risk for deep vein thrombosis and subsequently, pulmonary embolism. Walking may prevent these blood clouds from forming. Our she is mentally ill and needs help. Don’t always assume something nefarious when you have limited information. Next time, ask. She may tell you to mind your own business or she may appreciate your concern.
If it was attention she wanted then she is probably overjoyed by the fact that you are even now fulfilling her desire.
Also should have posted a video, if you have your camera out to take a picture mine as well take a video to really show the oddity of it all.
It’s possible she’s gets air sick maybe she doesn’t feel as sick as if sitting down in the most cramped space, maybe she’s claustrophobic and walking makes her feel unstuck.
You ever thought about maybe she had some sort of health issues and needed to move around. I have friends that suffer from blood clots and was told if flying you need to move around periodically. That’s what’s wrong with people these days always assuming!!!
Yes, maybe she suffered from an eating disorder. Seems like the mostly likely explanation.
No offense! This story is ridiculous! Not sure why you would even write this garbage. Maybe if you were really wanting to do some reporting you would ask the woman why she was walking up and down the isle and learn something for once! Instead you mock this woman and make a lot of assumptions, and then go write and article about it. Why don’t you first lead with compassion, and maybe then you would have captured a good story.. and not come across as a male Karen in this story. No offense!
I’ve been flying a long time…sometimes we can make deductions without needing to interview the subject. Thanks for reading.
Just cause you have been on a few flights now you know everything? This is how you are coming across… Not sure how this crap came across my news feed but hopefully I can get your articles and blog somehow off my feed. From your comments you seem so full of yourself. No offense, just calling it as I see it. Learn not to have the ego that is bursting forth here.. you will do better in life and have better meaningful relationships. Take people’s advice for once instead of trying to live up to this ego you are projecting.. your life will be full then
I wondered if she was testing the waters by wearing something she might think the flight attendants would ask her to cover up, in ordwr to start an altercation. There have been so many similar incidents regarding dress code. She could have been looking for a lawsuit case. For a 45 min flight and what appears to be a young woman, I dont think DVT was her concern!
Maybe she has restless leg syndrome like I do. Very hard to sit still.
I’m certainly not young and pretty but I too get up and walk up and down the isle a few times. I’m a good candidate for leg thrombosis because of the medication I’m on and have been on since my 30’s so maybe she needed to do the same for the same reason. You can’t assume what people are going through or thinking. You were so intrigued that you actually wrote about it, so maybe you could have just asked her, According to you, she was trying to make eye contact so she probably wouldn’t have had a problem having a nice chat.
She may have been concerned about a risk of blood clots because women especially women on birth control flying in an airplane have three risk factors now for blood clots if she had a family history that would add four which is a pretty significant risk. She may have simply been trying to move around to decrease the risk of having a blood clot on her trip something to think about
Matt,
Get a life or a more attractive partner.
Oh Joe. If you only knew…
Man you missed out. She is bored screaming for attention , and need a man so bad . She is on the hunt , you gotta read the woman my man , that would have been a very easy date . No dinner , or expensive , European women are alot easier to date . They don’t ask for much . I wonder who was sitting next to her. Probably a woman , lol , 45 min flight , 10 min
Conversation, you would have been set .
Wow. I am literally sitting here worried about having to walk the aisles of my flight from USA to Italy tomorrow because I don’t want to bother people, and I see this. How presumptuous and judgmental of you! Yes, only a 45-minute flight can have devastating consequences for people with blood clots. I have a blood disorder that makes me prone and I have had approximately 25 of them, with one set being in my lungs at 33 years old. So while I am “strutting and trying to show off my body” tomorrow on my flight to Italy, should I wave to the crowds?
Thanks Melissa.
I often get up to walk up and down the aisle on my flights for health reasons. There are a myriad of health reasons why someone would need to take laps up and down the aisle.
Also, you never know whether she is traveling with others she is trying to keep track of. Such as coworkers, students, family. I agree with the original commenter here. This article tells us more about you than it does her.
Matt-
Why so judgemental? Click baity headline?
You do not know this woman or her circumstance. To insinuate that she is “flaunting” her self for attention based solely on how she is dressed. Lame! Weak, about nothing article.
She could be pacing for any number of reasons. I pace so I don’t have another stroke.
You can do better to elevate the dialog. We all can do better.
Use your platform for good instead of putting out snark for views. It truly is what’s tearing a part civil society.
Nerves, Stress, Neurological disorder, any number of reasons.
Pathetic Is ,that You get paid to write snooty misogynistic drivel like this.
Your Only Possible conclusion as you state it is full of Years of missed lessons.
Could be what you say – She could be an attention hound and what better captive audience. Or it could be that she’s susceptible to blood clots so she needs to walk a lot on a plane, which I know some people are susceptible, maybe she sat next to someone who really smelled and didn’t want to deal with it, God only knows
I am not an attractive person, but I have to do the same thing to avoid blood clots. They can happen on the legs for some of us because of altitude and compression socks aren’t always enough prevention. In fact specially with women it’s recommended to get up and use your calf and leg muscles every 40 mins if you have a desk job to prevent them.
You get me to click on the story and I read the whole story so I can see a picture of this women’s equipment and then you make a lame excuse about privacy concerns rather than just admit you are too sissy to risk taking a good picture. You are pathetic.
Did you read the article? This is not normal behavior. What’s wrong with pointing out abnormal behavior?
Sounds awesome to me
JT, you are correct. I agree with you.
That isn’t true about the woman who posted it.. Your comment says a lot about you. Next flight will you be on the cat walk? What she was wearing pretty much PROVES she wanted attention.
Withallthat is going on in the world now it was very rude to make a scene like that. People are nervous enough.
Act like WELL MANNERED GROWN UPs ON PLANES
You are all dillusional. My God, have any of you dressed just the way you wanted, then did what you wanted, not harming or bothering anyone else? Did she knock the plane out of the air. Did she steal your luggage, or your very own soul?
All of you that think she did wrong, speak up you arseholes. Explain what was wrong with her actions. The woke need to wake the hell up and grow some backbone.
Welcome to the utopian society where anyone and everyone does whatever they want whenever they want to and no one can comment or say anything about it.
And yet you find it offensive that the author found this person’s attire for the occasion and behavior very odd.
So in the utopian woke society you can do whatever you want whenever you want to you just don’t have freedom of speech or expression or you will be crucified.
Lol woke ones are the ones defending her because “people should be allowed to do what they want maaaan”. Nah, us regular adults understand that the rest of everyone on that flight deserves a peaceful flight. I like to sleep when I fly, and I’m cursed with the aisle seat. After the third time she paced by my seat we would have had an issue. Oh yes I would have said something, and I’m sure I would have been applauded.
Let’s be real for a minute and stop making excuses for people who want to behave poorly. Please remember todays society everything someone does must be accepted so that their feelings are not hurt. She acted out of character on a plane. Why she did it? Who really cares. In my opinion 20 walks up and down the aisle in 45 minutes is ridiculous. She probably was flaunting her body or outfit or whatever the reason this behavior on a plane is unacceptable and disturbing the peace of other passengers. With all the crazy things that have been happening lately I’m surprised she wasn’t arrested searched and questioned. Go to the gym or workout before you fly if need be. Planes are not for aerobics. Have a great weekend everyone.
I agree totally. She should have been forced to stay in her seat. If she can’t follow normal flight rules than she shouldn’t be allowed to fly.
Except there is no flight rule that you must remain seated at all times. The flight rules are that you must be seated during takeoff and landing during turbulence in Flagstaff indicates that you should remain in your seat. Otherwise walking the isles many times as you want is perfectly within your right and just because that is not an activity that you would perform doesn’t give you the right way to restrict her freedom especially if she was walking due to a physical and medical impairment. I do not wish you to have a severe herniated desk but if you do make i hope the other people on your flight be less judge mental than you are
Matthew, if she wasn’t breaking any laws walking up and down the plane, it is not your concern. The problem is not her walking up and down the plane, the problem is you and that you did not like her doing it, for whatever was your reason. Grow up man and stop acting so spoiled and/or afraid. Talk about being a whiner!!
“Breaking laws” is not the standard. I will certainly write about incident or people that catch my attention when I fly whether or not they are engaging in unlawful activity.
Hey Bud. Don’t worry bout all these lib tard cancel culture freaks on here bashing you because you wrote about a simple observation on a plane. The chick was obviously looking for attention. She got it. You wrote about it. The rest of you people on here bashing my man for writing about it. Get a life! So what he made an observation and decided it was worthy to write about it. If you were on the plane wouldn’t you have been curious to why she walked up and down the isle ? Think instead of auto criticize!!
Mathew, I’m with you, I think she was seeking attention. While I understand stretching your legs, she needed attention. As for you, I don’t think you commented on this because you need attention you found it to be a bit odd and I agree.
Lol oh so it’s not against the law so she should be allowed to do it…what an asinine thing to say. There’s a thing called “flight etiquette” look it up. It’s also not illegal for me to sit and stare at you at a restaurant while you eat…you’d be okay with that because it’s not against the law?? You need to reassess your logic
She probably have hemorrhoids and cannot withstand sitting down
She may have restless leg syndrome.
Yes thank you JT. I was thinking the same thing. But I guess we had to be there right?
Well, with only one pic which is quite innocuous what’s to say you are embellishing the whole darn story just to inflate your fragile ego and lack of your own self esteem.
Sometimes you “professional” bloggers need to just give it a rest, shut up and just enjoy the flight.
Post this on AITA and I’m sure everyone will agree that you are. Mind your own business. At least this woman wasn’t taking pictures of people to shame them on the internet because she felt uncomfortable…. thats YOU
Because that’s just the way women are.
This article reflects how the author feels about himself. My guess is that he’s very shy.
Just love seeing the comments flooding in here that just proves the person didn’t read the article. So frustrating we live in times where people react with emotion without even reading an article instead of reason and logic. There is no reason for someone to do this on a flight unless they want attention. I’ve been on hundreds of flights, never seen such strange behavior from mentally well individuals.
Why else would she make the effort for eye contact? That very much sounds like seeking attention to me!
Probably on a weekly pedometer challenge trying to get them steps in. I get it.
Why is this news? This is garbage.
Whomever wrote this is the worst type of human.
He lost all credibility with that terrible picture
So how could that upset any one. Really grow up
If she’s not doing anyone any harm I dont see what the problem is. Shes probably just anxious and cant sit still. And if shes attractive? Then enjoy the view? If shes not then dont look at her? She might have a medical issue for crying out loud. If the flight crew didn’t have an issue with her then you writing an article about a non issue makes me wonder why are you a writer?
Women who wear revealing close wear them for the attention. Someone who gets up that many times on a short flight has issues besides that of attention seeking!
To each there own . SHE WAS PRETTY BEAUTIFUL AND FULL OF LIFE .PERHAPS YOU SHOULD’VE SMILE AT HER AND BE HAPPY AND DON’T WORRY.
All caps old man alert whoooowhoooo
Agreed! The author sounds like a jerk whose opinion of women is slow low, that we’d walk to “flaunt.” As a Type 1 Diabetic (an autoimmune disease) I have to walk on flights if my blood sugar gets high after a meal. Believe it or not, people walk during a flight for MANY reasons, not just to be eye candy. This blog needs to find a new author!
As a tall person of 6’2 I find I have to get up out of the chair because it’s so cramped especially on my legs touching the back of the seat and front of me. I noticed other tall men usually get up once or twice just the stretch their legs.
You might walk to the lavatory and back, but pacing from the front of the plane to the back of the plane, More than once, over and over is extremely suspicious in a post 9/11 era.
I agree. Women don’t just live for men’s or other women’s validation. Did he ever consider she had a clotting problem and needed very frequent movement for her legs? Or was battling a terrible anxiety about flying. Nope, it’s all about trying to get his attention
Well said.
She might have had restless legs syndrome or extreme fear of flying. Both of those are intensified by sitting.
Why is this news worthy? There’s nothing more substantial to write about, maybe Austria? Maybe she had been on some long flights and needed to move around. Maybe she has a condition. Maybe she has motion sickness and moving around helps. Maybe shes a fruit loop who decided to walk on a plan God forbid. Who cares. I’m ashamed to admit I even opened this and read it. How about minding your own business. She wasn’t hurting anyone. She wasn’t abusing anyone.
I wrote about Austria too. Over 8,000 articles to choose from…don’t stop at this one.
It’s possible she has anxiety about flying and this is her coping mechanism
All the power to that Babe….
.so wonderful….. and you míster go lock yourself in the loo if you don’t like it
.
She obviously did it for the same reason you posted about it you thirsty thirsty attention whore you:)
Congrats on your contribution to culture. 135 countries and this is what you focus on. Not even a good shot of her. Seriously.
Maybe she’s got OCD and worried about deep vein thrombosis.
Exactly. The writer has problems or totally made up the story.
Agreed, this article is disgusting and disturbing.
What’s wrong with that guy
She likely has or is pre-disposed to DVT – deep vein thrombosis. Sad the author wrote this with only negative assumptions and didn’t have the gall to ask her.
My doctor told me to take breaks and walk up and down the aisle because I had a previous experience with a pulmonary embolism. Not fun! So getting up and walking up and down the aisle now and then is a must-do activity for me. I have to travel by plane a lot for my work. Seems to be a simple enough activity to assure a safe journey. Eye contact you say? I get it all the time. It’s a natural reflex of every seated passenger. I try to smile at everyone I have eye-contact with.
She was probably doing a thesis on behaviour.. and the other passengers were the target of the study…. and the aitline knew it…
She not gonna read this and sleep w you as her white knight. Stop it.
Why didn’t we get a full photo of her and not just your imagination of her? She may have been nervous to fly and needed to keep moving to feel calm. It’s not her problem your jealous how hot she was, really it’s your self issues! Or maybe she needed to get in her daily steps because she made a promise to a sick child to help raise money from walking daily! Point is never judge people until you truly know the facts.
She might just be prone to developing clots. One of the ways to prevent that on a plane is walkingcis to move around as often as possible by taking walks along the aisle.
Maybe she was hoping for a strong, handsome man to sweep her off her feet, which obviously wouldn’t be you.
I had a similar experience on Austrian: I was sitting in economy on a late night flight and was experiencing horrible flatulence. It was so bad that it was actually painful to hold it in. Every time I let go, the gentleman behind me started complaining in German. I don’t speak a word of German, but he only did it when I blasted, and it certainly didn’t sound happy.
Yes, my standards a little higher.
Bud you are so right!! These other people have no clue or are just sticking up for her!!! Who wears work out clothes and or just that on flight? Plus it doesn’t matter if a doctor said or anyone can’t sit that long ECT? She knew what she was doing. I like your blog and don’t listen to the haters!
Found the fag
I guess you’re being a creep for the clicks.
Because this dreck blog is skeevy AF.
Was she BLONDE!? (gasp)
A SPORTS BRASSIERE! (Oh my stars)
You felt uncomfortable and took sophomoronic jabs at a female passenger.
Either you’re thrice daft or anticipated this shit storm of condemnation and want the traffic.
Hard unfollow on the browsers
I like to sleep when I fly because of anxiety and am always cursed with an aisle seat. I’d be pissed too if someone was pacing up and down past me. Sit the F*** down so we can all have a peaceful flight please. That flight needed a Karen on board. The dudes may have been annoyed but we won’t say anything when a booty like that is being paraded around.
Your opinion of yourself is too high, especially for what little you have to offer a partner! I’m taking my reading time elsewhere as this was a horrible, shallow article. LLF, you need higher standards than this pig.
Why on earth would you feel compelled to hold in a fart especially in the high altitude cabin environment?? Any chance I get, I let rip…..
Lmaoooo.
Maybe her Apple Watch was malfunctioning and telling her repeatedly that was time to stretch her legs?
Well she got your attention. Looks like a step up from Mary Magdalene.
And you have got my attention
Maybe she needed to get her step counts in?
She wanted to hit her number of daily steps…
Fat women are just disgusting. Fat women need to lose weight.
It’s people like you that make me sick. Who are you to judge a woman by their size? You are mental
Seriously! He is a jerk!
What is your problem? Maybe people find you disgusting!
Everybody loves a fat man/lady . . . . .
AND, OH HOW THE FAT MAN/LADY CAN LOVE !!!
Beanie Feldstein currently ruining Funny Girl on Broadway!
Why don’t you fatties just lose some weight instead of attacking me.
It’s more healthy for you, and cheaper for us by saving health insurance costs.
Run fatties run.
Fat shaming is what’s disgusting, as is a blog that always such low brow commentary/articles. Finding somewhere else to go!
Exactly how short were her short shorts?? I saw one young lady on my flight yesterday and at least of couple of inches of her ass cheeks were sticking out of her shorts.
What would compel someone to dress like this?? I am not against but I think it’s in poor taste.
They were the same.
Maybe she is in heat?
Was she tall or is that just the perspective? Need to take better pics, can’t make a call here.
You are so shallow, Hal.
She was quite tall, over six feet.
So, normal height, at least in my perspective of being 6-4.
Maybe she is a ladyboy.
In my younger days when I was a little more into distance sports like triathlons and marathons, it was not uncommon for the top stars to workout in airports and other unusual places to get their training in and stay fit and flexible. Sure, some thought it was crazy but those into endurance sports tend to see things differently than couch potatoes. So, the comments about getting her steps in might not be that far off – and probably more appropriate than being on a prowl. Grow up
Do those athletes generally try to make eye contact with other passengers as they are “practicing”?
Hey, did you think about sickness? There is a sickness called “reckless legs syndrome” (RLS). For those people, it’s difficult to sit for a longer time, difficult to keep legs in calm. Not fun, really…. Google it.
Not protecting her, but it might be a reason as well. So don’t be condemning so fast.
Restless, but yes, I suppose it could be that.
Sorry, autocorrect mistake while waiting for Austrian at Paris CDG 🙂
Restless, sure.
I felt like 1. She could possibly have ADHD. or 2. Maybe she gets nervous being on a plane and to help ease her anxiety she walks..who knows ??♀️♀️
I get anxiety when someone I don’t know is pacing past me over and over when in a cramped cabin environment. It’s her responsibility to find a different coping mechanism that doesn’t disturb everyone around her. Flight etiquette is a thing and should be observed to keep everyone happy.
It is NOT RLS! Matt, you are 100% correct!! SHE WANTS ATTENTION!!!!!!
I suffer from something similar- it’s called “Restful Legs Syndrome.” It acts up when I sit on the couch and put on the ballgame. Especially with a beer in hand, those legs will get propped and just sit there. Restfully. They really just won’t move. Such a curse.
I heard of restless leg syndrome, but reckless ?
Magnesium helps with that.
you mentioned something about buy on board service……perhaps there is a mile high option
Yes that was my first initial thought! That maybe she was trying to get a “date” while on the plane or after it landed. Maybe both ♀️ That would explain the constant walking up and down the isle trying to make eye contact with people. Not the craziest thing to ever happen on a plane especially now days.
Hopefully this blog continues to provide you with a decent living because you’ll never make it as a photographer.
A frontal shot at a minimum would have provided your readers with a better experience to judge the validity of her efforts.
I explained why I did not include a frontal shot (EU privacy concerns).
Sorry, I only look at the pictures and comments.
But thanks for the lighthearted stories like this in a world that takes itself way too seriously.
You don’t read what I write?
Sir, this is the “future”, no one bothers to read anymore, even if they know how.
They were probably expecting another Gawker/Buzzfeed/Jezable style post with lots of pictures for them to hem and haw over.
Or at least of the shorts. That pic he took didn’t show a damn thing.
But WAS she worth looking at? I’ve seen plenty of people that really need to re-evaluate their concept of what looks appealing. Both men AND women.
Oh, she was very attractive and she knew it. Which makes it all the more sad she would need to flaunt it.
Perhaps she takes Deep Vein Thrombosis very seriously
Given the attire you described, I tend to agree with your assessment that she was seeking attention.
“I’m a model…ya know what I mean? And I do my little turn on the catwalk…on the catwalk…on the catwalk, yah! I do my little turn on the catwalk.”
I fail to see how this is news. Interesting? Perhaps a bit, but let’s just leave it at that. I’ve been following you for some time and wouldn’t like think your content is approaching the level of supermarket tabloids. I have to admit I look forward to new posts because of their subject relevance. This was nowhere close to what I as a reader expect to find here and sincerely hope you’re not heading in that direction.
Hi Dan, for better or for worse, I’ve been heading in this direction for a few years. But the good news is that you don’t have to click on the tabloid stories – I still have plenty of news stories and trip reports. But I’ve defended these sorts of stories here:
https://liveandletsfly.com/travel-blogging-2022/
I kind of liked your response more than the post but also realized I was being selfish with my comment. I read your blog looking for the last travel hack but also because I find your content instructive and fun to read. I made a mistake feeling entitled to what I want to read, so apologies for that. I should know better to just skip posts I don’t like and concede shouldn’t be up to the readers to decide what flies up here. Lastly that tabloid comeback was funny 😉
Best wishes!
Absolutely pathetic and pointless ‘article’. Why the hell is this even on my newsfeed?
Thanks for taking the time to read and even comment. Greatly appreciated.
What’s the point in making a judgment? Seems very strange on the authors part.
If I had been on that plane? I would have been annoyed beyond just thinking she’s attention seeking. And for those with medical reasons to walk? I’m assuming you do it with attire that isn’t just plain weird and also not making eye contact. I agree with the writer and also got some chuckles. Thank you!
By the sounds of it if you made eye contact, it could make her self esteem rise, I.e. I’m so beautiful they are looking at me. I hope you didn’t make eye contact and just let her trot on.
Passengers should not be up in the aisles unless to hit the RR or get something to eat/drink. She obviously was trying to draw some attention. Exercising on a plane or walking back/forth is something that is not reasonable and is suspicious in this day/age. No one needs anymore stress while traveling. Ppl today think their whims, needs or moods take precedence over anyone else or rules If I had been a FA I would have told her to stay in her seat with seatbelt fastened.
I for one would be totally fine with a piece of a** strutting up and down the aisles making eye contact and giving me a chubby. Are you a straight man? Maybe time to get your T levels checked because you sound like a bitchy female.
Don’t think we need to check yours. Off the charts. Toxic levels it seems.
Or you’re 13.
Good thing she wasn’t flying an American carrier or she would have been denied boarding eh.
So many stories shaming women and their bodies. I would have expected more of you.
So if she is 6’4″ then legroom on Austrian may also have her stretching her legs.
Perhaps she recognized you from your blog?
Not shaming her at all. I just don’t underhand her motives. And keep in mind it wasn’t simply a walk like she was exercising but the walk like a model does on a runway at a fashion show.
Maybe she WAS practicing for the catwalk? .. Stretching her long legs? Maybe that’s just how she walks, did she have a different style exiting the plane?
This is an article?
Welcome to Live and Let’s Fly. Take your shoes off and stay for awhile. We have over 8,000 articles in the archives.
Says the man with a similar photo
Exactly. This dude has too much time on his hands to be writing judgy gossip column nonsense. Get a haircut and get a real job Matt.. A real life follows soon after.
Hopefully she had an aisle seat and didn’t have to step over another passenger multiple times. I hope for a 6ft blond Teutonic beauty in short shorts as a seat partner but sounds like who ever was next to her must have felt like she didn’t want to be next to them.
It is certainly noticeable when someone gets up in the cabin and starts walking for whatever reason. We need an exercise area on longer flights. I think Air New Zealand has a section in the cabin where you can go stretch on their long haul flight. As far as this woman is concerned, I have no desire or comment about her.
Most likely just stretching her legs. Seems like you have a Freudian slip over here.
So this leggy blonde is the reason you left your family back in Germany for 48 hours??
Haha. No, Mitch.
You frat boys in a strip club tonight holding each other?
bro, where is the video?
Seems like a boring flight compared to all the drama of pandemic peak flights
Why would you assume she’s “flauntjng”? Maybe she is prone to blood clots (maybe from birth control pills) and is walking to prevent one. It’s a long flight. Maybe she has severe anxiety over flying and this helps her. Maybe you should mind your business.
A long flight of 45 minutes?
This just comes across as super sexist and pervy. She was stretching her legs or trying to get her steps in. How do you think women keep that attractive shape? A lot of them they work out. Some people don’t like sitting for hours. It has nothing to do with you and you should mind your own business.
I’ve flown millions of miles and never seen anything like this. It wasn’t just stretching…it was dozens of laps during the flight. It became my business and the business of everyone else on the plane…
Keep the faith, my brother.
You’re obviously spot on with your assessment. (Short shorts plus DVT? Yeah, um, if you say so.)
She must not get enough attention at home and has to find it somewhere else!
sexist and pervy? So if it had been a bodybuilder in gym shorts he was talking about, would it still be sexist and pervy? Or if she was wearing a bathrobe? How do YOU know what her reasons were? “Sexist and pervy”…ffs.
No actually u come across super sexist
There are *so* many alternative explanations: anxiety/restlessness, exercise/”getting steps in”, walking off leg/foot cramps, proactive or reactive acts related to blood circulation issues/concerns, claustrophobia, breaking away from a painful position (I’m 6’9″; ask me about poor tray table & seat hardware location/design), autism, etc.
It’s worth asking why people often subconsciously skip past these possibilities and instead turn first to explanations that fit learned stereotypes associated with physical appearances. If the passenger wasn’t young, female, tall, physically fit, dressed as she was, and or…yes, even blonde…one has to wonder if (a) the judge-y narrative is applied, or (b) this article even generates enough interest…actual or presumed…to bother writing it.
Exactly my thought. In addition to your list, my immediate thought was back pain/muscle spam. Continuing I added what if whomever she were sitting next to were making unwanted comments, actions or touching her inappropriately. That would make what you saw as a continued search for eye contact with someone turn out to be a plea for help. There are times when walking the aisle of the plane apparently looking foolish to others is better than the prospect of staying where you are in the moment. Instead of your salacious article you could have waited until landing, identified yourself as a travel writer and asked her ending up with a much more poignanr article. Best wishes
She may have been at risk or recovering from a blood clot. I had one after my leg cast was removed. Was told to walk if I wanted to fly.
Anyone with a clotting disorder or a blood disorder causing high platelets would do this. And maybe feel like they look a little crazy to others who might think to question their activity. Some smiles and eye contact might be used to reassure others that there is no threat.
Looks like more of an opportunity to help stretch her legs in the lavatory, instead of complaining to the internet, no?
She could be taking an oral contraceptive, which makes people more prone to blood clots in their legs, especially on long flights.
This was Frankfurt – Vienna, a 386-mile flight.
You’re a shallow jerk to assume she wanted your attention. She was probably trying to avoid a blood clot or bloating/swelling. And so what if was looking at people? Where else is there to look when you are walking down a plane’s aisle? This is a terrible article & you should be ashamed of yourself.
Again, I’m not attacking the woman…but don’t be so blind to admit that dozens of laps during a flight that was less than an hour long was certainly unique…
I like a dress code on the plane. I don’t want to sit in some broads sweat and cheek slime. She’s got issues…maybe shouldn’t be on the plane for whatever reason. We don’t need hypers on the plane…
As for the guys wanting a peep show…I don’t want any commotion on the plane…maybe next time we can watch a guy in a body shirt prancing up and down the isles in short shorts with his jewels hanging low…lol the woman should have been dressed not to draw sexual attention…certainly not with butt cheeks hanging out and sitting on air line seats. Too many people have skin diseases. She sounded more like a stripper…wanting attention and the show goes on. Myself…I want a peaceful and safe ride.
I have flown several years ago and developed blood clots on my legs. Every hour or so I would get up and walk a few laps around the cabin to keep the circulation moving. When I had the clots I spent 8 days in the hospital and don’t want to do that again..
What an imbecile! Ran out of ideas and decided to go to the lowest denominator, what a Karen. We should demand more of the learned.
I don’t understand why such a pretty blonde would dye her roots so dark.
Lol
What is the collective nouns for sexist trolls. A cumstein?
Reporter gets in flight crush, thought it was news because apparently everything is news these days. Editor says “eh post it, maybe the comments section will blow up. Oh don’t forget to add that useless picture you showed me”.
This is worthy of a blog column? My advice to you is the same as I give to most people who overuse social media: please, try having an unexpressed thought every so often!
Wtf is the point of this article? Like seriously the sound I hear is the bottom of the barrel being scraped for ideas. Posting for the sake of posting is something I would expect from a 14 yr old. Seriously this blog is trash now.
Maybe she was available and you blew it. Should have tapped her as she was going by and with a smile and genuine interest, asked her what she was doing. Could have been the start of a whole new trajectory and a better story.
-Assuming that’s what you are into.
If the lady had issues with blood clots then she would probably be on medication. It sounds like she was just being annoying and didn’t feel like sitting down for a lot of the flight. It would be funny if she actually responded to your story.
Who gave you the right to sit here and police womens bodies? Why would it even cross your mind that this individual is looking for validation and why do you think she needs your validation? Have you ever considered the fact that some people have anxiety, ADHD, or even physical disorders that make sitting for long periods of time extremely difficult or even impossible? I am sure this woman already felt self concious enough doing this without your taking photos of her and having the audacity to write a published article about it without her consent. Just gross. Gives me the creeps that we have to live in a world with men like you.
A self conscious woman wearing shorts with her ass hanging out and walking up and down the aisle of a freaking airplane full of people doesn’t sound very self conscious. The whole point of the article was him asking what the possible reasons are that she was doing this. He throws out a few possible examples and all of a sudden its a metoo movement. Get a grip ffs.
I always do this during flights because I have nerve damage and my leg hurts if I sit for long periods. I certainly hope I never have to deal with a nasty person like you on a flight, claiming I’m “seeking attention” while in pain and doing nothing that affects anyone else. Mind your own damn business.
I guess what I don’t understand in many of the commennts above is this: most reasonable adults have a pretty honed in sense of what is “normal” behavior. I will give the author the benefit of the doubt that he is able to discern “…getting up to stretch your legs” from odd/unusual behaviors like the ones described in his commentary.
Just leave them alone. Is there a problem?
For crying out loud was she bothering you?
People seem to make a mountain out of a mole hill. HONESTLY!
She was suffering social media withdrawals and needed a quick attention fix. This is just the phenomenon known as gen z.
I don’t know, but with all that’s going on in the world, who would give a rats ass about an attractive woman strutting her stuff up and down the aisle? Enjoy the show and relax. Geez…
“Sorry I only have that picture above. With EU privacy laws as strict as they are, I figured that was enough to make my point.”
I’m till trying to discern a “point” other than you observed a woman ambulating in a manner and context which led you to wonder why she would ambulate in such a manner…which is really not much of a “point “
Clicks, ad revenue and from the length of the comment thread, he got it! Doesn’t have to mean a thing, just needs to get the metric. What are ya new?
This was wierd article the guy who wrote it seems like he doesn’t like women, and might be jealous he isn’t one.
This was my impression as well. It came across as catty, petty and jealous. Not a good look on someone who’s supposedly male. Yuck. Just yuck.
I am all too familiar with this behavior and suspect that she suffers from Anorexia/Eating Disorders. One of the most common signs is obsessive exercising. When not able to conventionally burn calories they will walk laps for hours in any space they can. It seems impossible and bizarre to others but in fact it feels very normal to them. In her mind the inability to burn calories for an hour on a plane was not acceptable, so she found a solution. This is an illness that has reached epidemic proportions over the past two years, increasing globally by nearly double in that time.
This writer is a creeper…honestly why pay so much interest if you weren’t? My wife is a busy body. Runs almost everyday. If stuck on a plane she would be doing the same thing. Horrible article and shame on this site for posting this garbage. Mr. Klint you should be ashamed.
Every heard of exercise addiction? She may not be able to be still because of this eating disorder.
Not sure what’s worse, the actions of the woman you are describing or having a job so meaningless that you have to resort to writing an article like this. It’s honestly a coin flip for me.
What a shallow, means spirited projection. Seek help.
Why didn’t you just ask her..if she’s looking for something or someone, like helping her. I’m wondering why none of the stewards ask her that question…as it’s annoying to other passengers who are getting their forty winks and much needed rest without her power walk. Or maybe she’s trying to get your attention too and you’re doing such a good job of ignoring her.
Maybe she is the sister-in-law of the woman in the hotel bar in Togo who kept clicking her heels until she found out that Matthew is gay? Matthew is not but he pretended to be when the woman wouldn’t leave him alone.
ROTFL
WAIT…….W H A T????? lol
That was a great story!
Click bait article in my opinion.
There are countless possibilities ranging from DVT, strutting her looks, to her hemroids bothering her when she sits
As an avid traveler you should have been polite and asked her if she needed any help or had the balls to ask her for a date at destination if you were pretty sure that she was looking for attention.
My wife would not have liked that!
No one cares.
How many comments here?
Okay, where to begin. Whenever men make assumptions that a woman is doing something for attention. I always suggest using your words and not your imagination. There are so many reasons she could have been doing this. She could have recently gotten over COVID and was worried about blood clots. Maybe she was pregnant and worried about her health while flying. Could she have possibly been dealing with a severe anxiety problem and movement helps keep her calm. Personally I think as a journalist you missed a great opportunity. Instead of assuming so much. Why not just ask her why she was doing that? Perhaps she wasn’t looking for attention as you assume from her eye contact with so many of the passengers. Maybe she was keenly aware of her actions and whatever was driving them clearly took preference over how an entire plan of strangers saw her. I suspect if she was really seeking attention, she would have been more vocal with others. I don’t think this is mental health behavior. She wasn’t trying to disrupt the flight crew or interfere with other people. She was walking around a plane is all.
I hope you find a way to reach out to this woman and ask her some follow up questions. It seems from the comments so many of are curious also.
Dude. That was a free gift. It’s boring as hell on the airplane. Might as well enjoy the it. I wish I was on that flight.
LH group testing new in flight entertainment
Looks like a stunning frau from what you shared
Am not looking at the blonde lady`s character but rather at someone who took all his time to writing this article….you feel like going back on board to have more of her pics right! Bro your wrong to judge
What you say you saw was a tall, attractive white woman in short shorts and a jog bra. But maybe she was a Democrat and self identified as an overweight, balding male LGBTQXYZ midget of color wearing a thobe. You really need sensitivity training before profiling your fellow passengers and hurting their fragile self esteem.
Found the American.
This story was a waste of 2 minute of my life. What are you, 12? For goodness sakes she probably has severe anxiety or some condition making it difficult for her to sit.
Totally agree. This was childish writing and shaming a woman for what she was wearing. I just flew back from Switzerland with my family and walked the rows with my three yo son dozens of times to burn off his energy. I got someone wasn’t thinking I was showing off my son or my body.
Could Live and Let Fly please tell their female “Writers” to stop being so Catty?
a man wrote this, bud
Maybe she had restless leg syndrome, a history of blood clots? Anxiety about flying and pacing calmed her? Perhaps she just wanted to get her steps in? Your inability to avert your gaze isn’t her fault. Your recognition of your weaknesses isn’t her burden, it’s yours.
She could have had anxiety about flying and this was her way to cope with it. Always assume good intent. It’s sad that you had to write this article and focus completely on making this woman seem quite possibly to be some thing she wasn’t. Choose kindness.
I did not call her intent good or bad…I just reported what I observed.
You trolled and passed judgement
F the EU. Its a public flight. If you want or expect privacy take a private jet or drive.
Maybe she is pacing because she cant believe she is on an airline so cheap that they dont even have screens in the seat backs?
Maybe if the guy with gas would have been on that flight ripping his has bombs she would have stopped walking the aisle
Your an idiot. M9nd your own business.
I think you meant “you’re”
Big grammar man. Grammar troll and fellow passenger troll
She was probably high off drugs.
So if it was a 70 year old woman in a moo moo who was not physically attractive or and old man, would you have the same opinion?
Personally any of them kind of annoy me. Not enough to write an article about though.
I still would have written about it.
Just curious this whole writing thing, 8000 articles. What’s the time commitment on publishing an article like the above?
Guys leave our bro Klint alone. He is just trying to make a point… I don’t care what y’all are sayin’, but she sure looks hot. Maybe our lucky bro Klint here was lucky enough to see her lacey panty lines in her tight short shorts?? Who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ And hell yeah by the way she looked at you, and that she appears to have no bra straps to grab eyes with each of her clevage bounces in such a fitting sports bra means if she did seduce you or myself, the first thing that would occur would probably be those spandex shorts getting a good smackin’ 😉
Oh look a misogynist.
Gullible
So sad that this is something you felt you needed to write about. It will be the last article I will have ever read on this blog. MK, I may not be your intended audience alas it’s one less.
Heavy D died from deep vein thrombosis after a flight, maybe she has that or was training for a marathon. Did she have big breasts?
Heavy D died from deep vein thrombosis after a flight, maybe she has that or was training for a marathon. Did she have big breasts?
Was there really nothing else for you to report on ??? What’s the approval process for posting horrible uninteresting articles like this. What was the point of sharing this SMH
Lady probably had major flight anxiety and needed to get up to calm down. I do this when flying but it’s always to use the rest room. I drink a lot of water before flying on purpose because the high alptitude makes me dehydrated more easily. But I must say that the pointing out of her apparel as a means to justify claiming she was an attention whore is just wrong. Isn’t that the same mentality rapists rape appologists use against their victims? “She was wearing a sports bra and yoga pants so she was asking for it.” Like Bruh. The other thing is maybe the woman had social anxiety and the last thing she wants is for you to be judging her by appearance. Respecting other people today or putting yourself in their shoes/using intelligence to try to figure why someone is doing something seems to be rare.
This isn’t Twitter get off your soap box
Get a life, and mind your own business. You have absolutely no idea what was going on with her.
I’d be more inclined to believe you if you backed it up with proof, other than your word. Just your word here sounds as if you couldn’t look at your laptop and get over your seeming misogyny. In future if you think a PERSON is slutting up the isle. Prove it.
I’d be more inclined to believe you if you backed it up with proof, other than your word. Just your word here sounds as if you couldn’t look at your laptop and get over your seeming misogyny. In future if you think a PERSON is sexing up the isle. Prove it.
Maybe she’s in chronic pain.I have herniated discs and try to get up and walk at least once an hour. On a long flight, I get self conscious that people think I’m a terrorist or a weirdo.
I have the same problem. I don’t know why this story showed up in my feed.
And to think you could have just focused on something else during a flight instead of obsessing over this woman.
Nope!! Unless you are attracted to men this spectacle would be burned into your mind!! All along your thinking WTF but also taking lots of pics. See I am a amateur photographer. I wonder if she was completely shaved or just had a landing strip?? I guess a few added captions could have sparked a good conversation.
Get a f-ing life man lol
Oh no, someone acts differently then I do. Something must be wrong with them. What a piece of work you are.
This article is kinda snores-ville, but the comments are a hoot!
Walking, no, sauntering up and down the isle, back and forth, CONTINOUSLY for more than 45 minutes, so much so that the flight attendants had to have her finally return to her seat, and then she gets back up and starts doing it again!
Too bad about those strict privacy laws, I guess this is the kind of behavior that results from it.
Maybe that was her “job”, the airline hired her, that’s why they put up with it.
If this woman did this on an American fight some would have live-streamed it until their phone died.
I love the mental gymnastics people are pulling trying to rationalize someone taking long walks ♀️ down the cabin, trying to make eye contact, in reveling clothing.
If so many people are all about this, why don’t they record themselves in hot pants and sports bra, and walk back and forth eye-balling people? On a plane, for hours on end?
That’ll show the author!
I’m glad you get it.
I lost the link to the article but it went something like “Creepy guy on my flight takes pictures of a women walking in the aisle.” The story was wonderfully written in the style of Richard Scarry. It even included the picture of the creep taking the pictures and editing the photos in flight. It did seem a little obsessive to write a story about a guy taking creeper photos but it went on about how “the guy” then put the photos in word editor and wrote about her… Like w t f
If this passenger had back surgery,it’s recommended that one gets up at least every 30 minutes for full recovery. This is just one small medical example on a possible myriad of other conditions.
It sounds to me like Mathew Klint who resides in Los Angeles doesn’t know what to do in the presence of a beautiful woman. Maybe next time we’ll get you an attractive man to strut around the plane instead. This is not unusual especially when someone flies for the first time. Listen, if you see anymore of those women send them over to me
It seems like she’s being trafficked. That would explain the odd behavior, clothing, etc.
Seriously? The writer of this article is the most judgmental, complaining and critical writer I have ever seen. How exactly would you know people’s hearts? How do you know why she was walking up and down the aisles. People can get blood clots on airplanes and some people are more prone to that than others no matter what they look like. It doesn’t matter. Maybe she’s making eye contact because she’s just trying to be nice. Why would you just sit in judgment of somebody like that? I certainly would not want to meet you because you seem like a really mean spirited person. Give people a break and stop sitting on your throne judging others. You need to get a different job and not one writing articles like this. What a waste of time. You seem to me like one that just sits and points the fingers at others criticizing everything about others. Really, this article didn’t say a lot about the lady but more so said more about you than anything.
Congratulations on a winning story from the amount of comments. Including plenty of new individuals from what I see.
Great job and I’m sure many enjoy these offbeat pieces if they were honest.
Yep she was obviously showing off juuuuust for you and your attention. You’re a misogynist and an a-hole.
You’ll have to provide more context. Was she sitting next to you? Maybe she just wanted to be left alone and not hounded the whole flight
I was seated in the back. She was in the front.
First and foremost, the woman should have Googled how to dress safely and appropriately for a flight. Wearing short shorts means your bare legs are soaking up previous passengers’ sweat and stains. Microfiber clothing is also not recommended, as well as leggings or flip flops. Picture yourself going down the emergency chute with fire all around you. I’m going with the flaunting theory, too.
Wifey, is that you?
Uh, no, that one photo didn’t come close to portraying the point you were trying to make. In fact, a video of it would have been the ONLY THING that would have made the story interesting. Without the video there is no article, so why it was published is the real story. Sorry
Perhaps she is an alien and she was taking inventory of different types of humans to prepare for the upcoming invasion.
I think it’s hilarious that all these commenters think they have to point out what the reason might be. Who cares? Even if it was a medical reason (unlikely), it was strange, and you rightly pointed that out in your blog. Big deal.
Think that you taking photos is much closer to voyeurism and a problem than someone walking up and down the aisle on a plane.
I totally thought this was a satire news article like from the Onion . Took me by surprise that it was true and that you were so invested in some lady. You even got a count in and took pictures like she was a celebrity! I like your narrative on how you thought she was flaunting herself (gave me red pill vibes). This was a great article to get people invested and commenting! I think you should try satire writing you had me giggling through the reading!
You’re, of course, entitled to your opinion.
But if you shifted perspectives a bit, how would you feel reading this same post about yourself if you had some actual reason to walk the aisle of an airplane? Because there are many. I used to do it for hours on long flights to avoid DVT. And I am a skinny white male.
Instead of assuming worst intent, you might try to assume the best in people. It’s much easier to be disappointed occasionally than to live your life surrounded by demons of your own creation.
What credit card should I sign up for so I can get this same experience?
Slow news day, huh…
Try the Chase Sapphire Preferred.
Lol this is the dumbest thing I’ve ever read. Dumb assumption, maybe she had some back pain and sitting was painful. No matter mother reason, that someone chose to write about this is astounding. Get a life.
Nichole ,great response. Couldn’t agree with you more.
Not surprised, women are natural narcissistic by birth. They can’t help but make everything about them.
lmao an article that’s just a photo of a woman walking down an airplane aisle
You get paid for this garbage huh?
This prose seems to scream, “pay attention to me”….
She’s probably got a reason, but you’re an ass for judging someone with no pertinent evidence. This is quite exactly what is wrong with the world. Even if she was flaunting her beauty, who the hell cares?!
Maybe write about something worth all these comments…. This whole entire page is a giant troll, and I’ll be removing this website from my feed.
If you have a gift of writing, this doesn’t show it. Good luck in your future endeavors, but this sucked.
Appreciate the click!
What the hell did I just read?
Do better
Restless limb syndrome or hypercoagulable illness. “If you are on a flight, do you need to get up and just walk up and down the isle? If so, how frequently do you need to do this” Seriously, this is one of the questions that I ask patients who I am evaluating for RLS to gauge the severity of their symptoms. Also, we advise patients with hypercoagulable states to get up and walk on long flights to decrease the chance of developing a life threatening clot.
This is a 45-minute flight.
This was a 45-minute flight.
This is one of the dumbest things I have read in a long time. I had a good laugh reading it to my wife in a dramatic tone! It made her morning.
So glad you enjoyed it.
It sounds like you were having the issue. If she was just walking up and down the isle, so what – be glad she was fit and attractive.
It’s aisle with an a.
You greatest repost is to pretend to be superior by correcting spelling. Delete the content sad man.
What’s there to complain about? A hot blonde in a sports bra parading up and down the aisle? I’d say enjoy the show! (And no I don’t care if some pissed off feminists complain about my “misogynistic” comment. I’m a little tired of some of this woke BS)
Matthew:
You must obey the pilot:
Sit back, relax and enjoy the flight!
Kristoff
God made everything beautiful, enjoy the view and stay out of judgment. It prevent you from loving others unconditionally. And thank you for sharing your concern.
I’m not sure if this is an attempt at humor, clickbait, childish misogyny, or the dumbest article of the day on the Internet, so I’ll go with “all of the above”
And yet have not provided proof that is any of those things, you absolute goober.
The obscene amount of internalized misogyny here is so gross. Maybe she was wearing an outfit that made her happy or comfortable, or maybe it was all she had clean? Flaunting simply by wearing isn’t valid except in extreme circumstances or there is behavior to indicate flaunting. Neither the outfit you described or the walking laps are evidence enough to support flaunting or attention seeking. You’re judging her and shouldn’t be, and you certainly shouldn’t publish trash “articles” putting this grotesque display of patriarchy on display. Grow up.
Oh please. Next flight, be sure to let your boobs and butt hang out and go walking up and down the aisles 20+ times during a 45-minute flight. Then get back to me. Thanks Mike.
I found this story interesting, that is strange for someone to walk up & down the aisle of a plane that many times! You described that at every opportunity she was up & down the aisle strutting. Yes the clothing was worth mentioning, because she hardly had on none. She had own clothing that could easily be used in place of undergarments.
Since you are a writer, you may already know, there is a “syndrome” that seems to happen when people read a vlog & then 1 person says a sarcastic reply to the writer, then it goes on & on. Each person know tries to top the previous person who commented sarcastically. It’s like they have no actual brain matter as to give their own opinion. They jump on the back of the “dumbass of the hour” & make stupid replies.
Yes! It is unusual for a person to continually walk up & down an aisle on an airplane. We don’t commonly see that. The people who may stretch their legs, they themselves know they would not walk up & down the aisle dozens & dozens of times. People defend what is not defendable.
As I was reading some of their sad little comments towards you for an extremely valid observation I thought what poor little sheep they are.
I often ask people, “what’s YOUR real opinion?” Don’t piggyback on the previous guy’s opinion.
On another note, I am a woman and I think only “certain” type of women wear spandex pants in public. They are extremely revealing. I am a woman of class & I have a sister & we have both talked on that issue. If we were to wear spandex pants, our long shirt that we would have on would literally be almost down to our knees to cover up all of the “intimate” areas. One would only see spandex pants from the knees on down.
I am one of the old fashioned ones, all close up views of your body is only to be viewed by your husband.
I’ve enjoyed the comments section in this story. Appreciate you taking the time to write and I quite agree with your opinion.
Well she definitely got a crap ton of attention right here on this site!!!! Too bad she’s not aware of it, because she obviously needs it!!!!
One possibility, biologically speaking, display behavior. I think that the choice of wearing a sports bra in a very public setting points that way. Not definitive, but possible.
I would have liked some boody shots.
One fact that trumps all these negative comments is that she kept looking at everybody as she walked up and down the aisle.
Please let this be satire?!
You tell me.
Not satire just basic clickbait and shaming.
This dude and satire? Yeah lol Did you read the story about his wife?
One possibility is that she might have been trying to bump her daily step count. Do you remember if she was wearing a fitness watch/device?
My ex is a personal trainer and more than a bit obsessed with attaining daily measures on her Apple watch, number of steps being one of them, and she will take any opportunity presented to her to pace/walk/whatever until she hits her goal. She’s runs a fitness business and often publishes/shares her results publicly as motivation for her current clients and marketing for prospective ones, so if she is in a cycle where she is planning on doing that, she will do anything to not have an “off” day where it would look like she didn’t hit her goals.
There’s a personal aspect to it also, so not just a businesses thing by any means.
She is actually on a long flight to Bolivia to visit family there as I write this and as I was reading your post I thought she would 100% do something like this on the plane, even on a short flight.
One possibility anyway.
Oh…and she is pretty damn fit and would definitely be traveling in an outfit similar to what this woman was wearing, that is 90% of her wardrobe before 9 pm.
What is going on here? Who picked this up? Why are there 250+ comments? This article was mildly amusing and inoffensive from my purview. Apparently the “walk laps on the plane” lobby is as influential as “India v. Pakistan” and the “Flight Attendants.”
This is silly. Why care what she’s doing, nthing else to write about ? Plus, there’s no video.
This is Hans Streudel from Austrian Airlines. Please provide flight number so we can make sure this happens again.
256 comments. She had a performance. Since women don’t have MEET ME written across forehead, inferences substitute. Good job pointing out the tail ends of the bell curve. I vote huey on medical factors, given her gazing. Keep it up Matthew
And then they get mad when you check em out.
That’s what ya wanted haha
So Matthew, you are the reason that I had a dress code in high school. Keep your eyes to yourself and your business to yourself. Unless she engages you or causes you trouble what concern is it of yours? There are plenty of valid reasons to stroll the isle during her flight, none of which you are privy to. It is her attire that seems to be the issue. Let me go get my highschool dean to measure her shorts. Grow up.
Who said anything about dress code? I don’t care what she was wearing.
Lol but you DOOO. SO HARD!
But you added what she was wearing as part of your supposition for her motives.
Unless someone else wrote this bland article?
Either way, kudos as you got what you wanted. A blog post with more than a dozen comments.
Congratulations! You have figured out click-and-comment-bait!
You’re a real writer now
I didnt go into much details of the story but if I will be travelling long, I would be needing some stretching… i travelled long distance and changing planes and hurt my body especially my knees…. Walking would make me feel better and is advised by professionals…
They flaunt their stuff and then get mad when you loom at the.
As a woman who needs attention at all times I do this type of stuff as well
Welp, that was a waste of an article. Running out of ideas?
Apparently, based upon the number of comments, not.
Lmao!!!!! #truth
Why didn’t you just ask her what she was doing and why? Now we’ll never know the real reason.
So, because she is dressed comfortably and walking in the aisle, you assume she must be ‘asking for it’? I’ve heard that justification before for any number of bullsh*t reasons.
You need to educate yourself. Seriously dude, your viewpoint is shameful. For someone supposedly so well travelled, why do you assume the sexist view that a comfortably attired woman (especially in Europe, which is far less hung up on such things) must be ‘begging for your attention’?
What I see is someone simply walking the aisle in the plane for what could be any number of reasons, as many of your readers pointed out – maybe she’s a nervous flier, maybe she needs to keep the circulation up in her legs, maybe he back is injured and cramps easily – why must you jump to the garbage conclusion that objectifies her and that she must simply be there for your visual amusement?
That’s a purely sexist and trash way to look at things. You need to educate yourself and do better.
Seriously?!? Maybe she had restless leg syndrome or back issues. Maybe she just wanted exercise so she didn’t get fat like the person who wrote this article. Stop being so jealous…
I am worse off for having read this garbage. What a judgemental asshole.
Self-reflection is a healthy thing, Gordon.
Oh no you male pig! Okay so the fact she started touching herself in public doesn’t mean anything either dude. Maybe she had an itch? Bet you didn’t think of that hmmm? After all it’s your fault you didn’t lock eyes with her you misogynist. Don’t point anything obvious out you straight, male underling.
Lol.
I think I know what she was doing. Either she lost a bet or she did it on a dare. Did you notice if she had a friend sitting next to her, giggling?
Just enjoy the view, geeze. A hot body does that, she wants to get noticed, so oblige her. Maybe she wanted someone to proposition her to join the mile high club, cuz that happens…
Hi Matt, first timer here. Loved your post. So many comments, amazing! It is an unusual occurrence, that’s why we all read it and then wanted to post our own opinion, it is interesting! I have a different theory – she was strutting bec she was practicing her Walk for her modeling audition. It is not as easy as you think!! Thanks for reading!!
Besides writing an article, I don’t see much point in … pointing out the habits of another passenger. She might just be getting her exercise in and, besides distracting you, I doubt very much that many people minded.
I would’ve been like, yes peaches…
I want the last few minutes I spent reading this back. How is it that anyone would think this was worth writing (typing) it? Or reading it?
Someone does something you find strange and so you troll her. Thankfully there are EU privacy laws. This belongs on a flyer talk DYKWIA thread. Content like this just makes the internet a sad place. Liveandletsfly.com = I am somehow superior because I fly a lot.
Sure, that must be it.
You couldn’t resist the “I have flown over a million miles” comment. You must have so much status.
I just read your replies to comments. You are clearly tolling for subscriptions now. Never visiting this site again. Sad mad.
Bye Felicia!
Name is Chris but happy to be called Felicia if that makes you happy
Restless legs syndrome (RLS) is a condition that causes an uncontrollable urge to move the legs, usually because of an uncomfortable sensation. It typically happens in the evening or nighttime hours when you’re sitting or lying down. Moving eases the unpleasant feeling temporarily.
She has back fat. Serious back fat. Sit down before you back fat pulls you down.
Your job is to write . You wrote . People commented . I read it all . Good show.
Just a comment here in support of Matthew. I suspect people are getting so twisted out of shape because, despite their denialism, they recognize the validity of his critiques.
Welcome to the Internet Matt. I’ve come for the dog pile.
So after all this, do you think your time and attention was well spent obsessing about someone else’s flight behaviour that was in no way threatening or out of line?
Was it merely that you were subjected to your own self-hatred for being incapable of letting a woman walk the aisle harmlessly without immediately and continuously objectifying her.
Was it the skin? You saw skin and cried to your god “please why must i be subjected to my insecurities right now?”
Or was it the fact a woman stood taller than you for longer than you could handle on this brief flight?
Please help us understand… what in heavens name does it matter wtf she did on the flight?
You know what, I’m sorry.
Maybe…i mean, what if… You’re right?! My gods! What if she DID want to be noticed! What if she was trying to get attention?! You GAVE it to her! Sweet Jesus you gave her that attention! And you spread it to the INTERNET!! What a kind, giving soul you are…i mean, would be, if your assumptions are correct.
Isn’t that wonderful? Gosh, well done Matt
Look, I am the first to lambast Matthew on many fronts. As well to praise. I do personally think it’s quite unusual to see a person parading up and down the aisle, even prior to take off. For those of us regularly on planes this is not a usual or, in terms of cabin service abilities and safety during times passengers should be seated, accepted practice. Aisles on aircraft are not your personal treadmill.
With that said, I also think Matthew could have spared other descriptives as to the woman or reason (i.e. flaunting etc). My feeling, based on my own experience, is that this person has an eating disorder which is often coupled with an obsessive need to move all the time (burn calories). Given that, I am very glad for the decision not to show her face, this could have been devastating for her emotionally if my theory is true. Especially if she happened upon many of the comments here.
Why not ask her if she wanted to get after it in the lavatory? Just sayin……
All this and no booty pic?? She walked past you 20 times!!!
Sexist garbage. You shame the profession of writer. Get this junk off the site.
These little planes are crap with their seats that doesn’t support back. Let alone the distance when someone relaxes their seat. Even far less space. I don’t normally walk in the 45 min flights but def do walk in 3+ hour flight to stretch my back and legs. I got 4 herniated discs. Now I am not going on flight and scream, I am walking because I got herniation issue. So cut her break. Maybe she has anxiety or back issue and she can’t sit? Who cares. People these days love to take pics and make Articles to gain popularity. If it bothered you that much, Instead of stealing her pics, could have asked her for a) why you walking 2) can I take your pic instead of unauthorized pic and make post!
Might have severe risk of blood clots, or severe anxiety, or she’s just nuts. Why the hell someone would write an article and why Google would want it to show in my news feed is beyond me though.
I’ve never seen people walking up and down the aisle on airplanes in all of my flights so it must be a new world and I don’t miss a thing
I have back problems and struggle sitting at all. You can attribute all sorts of motives to other people’s actions, but unless you’re inside of their skin, your opinion is just that.
Wow, what amazing article! What was point of this? Im sorry but this is a joke, right? You actually think was a good peice or not a waste of everyones time? Where have all the actual writers gone? Reported this on google as mislwading because there is no article here. Just a mislsading article about you thinking some women was cute on the a plane.
The comment section isn’t going the way you had hoped, is it Matthew?
I think the worst part is you got paid for this drivel and I wasted a few minutes of my life that I will never get back.
The entire story is pointless clickbait. Why the writer felt compelled to share this useless drivel is beyond me unless he is perhaps paid by the word.
The lady is attempting to avoid sitting for extended periods, which is exactly the advice I leave all my clients. Especially in avoidance of the very thing others left in comments above. DVT is a very real problem. People have died right in their chair, looking as though they were asleep. So she just happened to be young and attractive, and what else is there to look at while your walking between the isles, aside from the people sitting there. I probably would have jumped up and joined her. She may just be a cardio junkie like me. One never knows where that could have led.
LMFAO. Course its a White boi taking to the internet to judge a womens body. Bro, you travel much? Legs ever get tired from not having the luxury for first class? Or do you just have an endless amount of privilage and expense account?
Sincerely,
All Women who exist in the world. We Exist, outside the Patriarchy. Outside your opinion of why we go for walks on a plane, on the streets, in our jobs or anywhere man can talk walks.
Insightful comment, Jess. Thanks for taking the time to write.
Really? This many air miles a year and this is the best you have to offer?
Why would you choose to rant on another passenger and think it would bring value to your readers?
Looks to me like you have some jealous motives going on.
There really is no justification for your post or any of your stupid replies.
Grow up and shut up!
This is my first visit to your blog and I hope it’s the last time I ever do.
Maybe you should give up on writing, get some therapy, plant some flowers, get a thorizene prescription and eat a couple before each flight.
It’s hard to fatham just how low you have gone in this rant no one cares about how your feelings got hurt by her actions.
No one cares about your feelings, poor butt hurt fellow and no one wants to read your sniveling report.
Can you hear me now?
People have no expectation of privacy in public however, this feels it should be a twitter post vs blog post.
I am a female with a blood clotting condition that requires me to get up and walk frequently on planes, otherwise I could get a stroke and die. Really hope there’s no men judging me for it…
How fortunate for her to live in the EU. If this took place in the US her face from multiple angles would be published here for no other reason than to earn a few shekels from the google ad network.
Wtf is this garbage lol?? First off, that’s NOT a sports bra… secondly, you must be an incel given the degree of contempt and borderline rage you have at this woman for just walking. Of course it must be a show! Oh the only possibly reasons one could be walking up and down the aisle of a plane is for attention! Look at her shorts! She must be showing off her body! You’re pathetic.
People have bad anxiety on planes & pacing helps. People have medical conditions that require frequent movement. Maybe she’s super stiff from a pervious flight. Like literally there are SO many alternative explanations. The fact that you’ve fixated on this, most bizarre explanation makes you seem creepy and weird af.
Lol. You’re the one who took the time to write a diatribe in response…
THIS IS THE DUMBEST MALE CHAUVINISTIC ARTICLE EVER. HOW ABOUT MIND YO DAMN BUSINESS. THERE IS A REASON THE SEAT BELT SIGN GOES OFF AS LONG AS YOU ARE NOT PUTTING THE FLIGHT AND PASSENGERS IN DANGER YOU ARE FREE TO WALK A OUT THE AIRCRAFT. BEING SEXY IS NOT A CRIME DIM WIT
TELL ME WHAT U REALLY THINK.
Women are not here for your pleasure. She could do this because she enjoys attention, for her significant other or even just good health and pride in herself.
Whatever she’s doing it for is absolutely none of your business. Didn’t your Mother ever tell you…”IF you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say nothing at all.” IF you do not like it, look the other way! Pretty sure you secretly had to as you even logged the number of times she got up….creepy!
Well since you cant mind your p’s & q’s I’m going to match your energy and say; I see why the n is in your last name because I suspect the way you are trolling women here there’s no possible way you have any idea where a “clit” is and and how it works. Your wife must despise you …if you have one.
Hope you find something more productive to do with your time and have a better day, sir!
Ah. So surveillance of random people is now a topic for blog posts? Journalism is becoming an incredible joke. I mean, what the hell was the point of this steaming pile of dung? A truly bizarre display of idiocy on behalf of the writer.
It could be a physical problem or a mental problem. Orrrr…it could be look at me problem. I would have asked her.
You never know what is going on with someone. To look at me, I look ok…but I have multiple myeloma, a blood cancer. So many bone aches but no one would ever know.
Be careful how you judge someone and always remember, we don’t know what is going on with anyone just by outside appearances.
You are spot on. It is a 45 minute flight. Stay in your seat. We may need to start dress codes. Lol While this woman was not told to cover up, others have been by other airlines. Dressing for the club or the gym is not the same as flying on a plane. Sports bras, short shorts, men in muscle ts, etc. Just wear a flipping shirt and regular shorts.
You are rubbish even for taking the photo. Let alone having a rant about what doesn’t impact you. Close your eyes to your chisma porn and go back to your podcast or writing in your journal about your self-esteem.
I can’t believe you got paid to write this nothing piece. Who cares if she walked around. Get a life.
Honestly, this is why I don’t use my pass travel benefits any longer and just purchase business class. The pax in economy are too bizarre. I wish someone would give me money every time a passenger comes to the back galley to “stretch their legs”, do yoga, or whatever other odd behavior their entitlement feels they can get away with….I could take an early retirement! So glad you highlighted this Matt.
And to all the haters who are criticizing this piece, it speaks volumes about your sense of entitlement and privilege. Trust me, Matt didn’t post anything that myself and other flight attendants haven’t said amongst one another.
Thank you! ❤️
Wow, just wow. Some lady walks up and down a plane aisle several times. Nothing else to write about that’s actually interesting? I find your behavior more questionable than hers. Watching, taking pictures when she’s unaware, placing the justification for your rudeness on her by saying she’s flaunting, creepy to say the least and maybe a little stalkerish. If you travel so much how did this wind up being the story you wrote? Really? Don’t quit your day job.
Because I found it interesting. You would think if this were so common, I’d have seen it before in my millions of miles of travel, isn’t that right Cicely?
Uhm. There are too many comments for me to give a shit to sift through, but wow. The fact that you had the audacity to even photograph her and then upload it online. Beyond creepy. You don’t need a photo to get your point across. We all understand full well without the photo how shady you are.
I recently bought a first class ticket for a friend to visit me. I got him an aisle seat because he has back problems (medical) and he needs to get up to walk around for minor stretching every 30 minutes to an hour. He looks totally normal. He was afraid to walk around in case he “looked weird”, but I convinced him that no one would care – to think there was maybe someone like you on the flight with him being creepy and photographing him.
Who gives a [redacted] why someone is walking during a flight? She shouldn’t have been up walking around before the proper altitude, but other than that, I don’t see the problem. I’ve witnessed elderly people walk around on flights before, moms trying to calm their infants, and just people standing up to act like they’re looking through their belongings in overhead just to stretch a little.
I’m surprised that in your ‘millions of miles’ of travels, you’ve never seen a person walk around a flight before when I’ve witnessed it several times during my meager few thousands of miles. This really says way more about you as a person than it does about the woman who was walking around.
Somehow I doubt you’ve seen a woman walk back and forth 20+ times on a 45-minute flight…
As a woman with not only menstruation cramps and varicose veins that speak of circulation difficulties- especially closer to our cycle, and in addition severe multiple chemical sensitivity being one of the 80% of persons worldwide with autoimmune illness being born female- all of which one can and should try to walk off to reset our equilibrium, I resent your haughty male gaze when I am struggling physiologically just to exist. Thank you for taking note@
I’s a plane, suck it up buttercup or don’t fly that day if you are dealing….
I just have three letters for this. O-C-D. You can get help for that!
People who defend this woman behavior are idiots. Aviation safety and regulations requires you to be seated all time during flight. Imagine the hell of a mess that would be if suddenly 100 people began to walk the aisle because they need to stretch legs. If you have problems with anxiety or blood circulation simply don’t fly. This woman was rude and stupid so are stupid the doctors whom suggest to walk inside the airplane.
Perhaps she was trying to complete her 10,000 steps… maybe she was on a walk a thon for a non-profit and reading money… or perhaps she is a rookie model who needed to practice the cat walk before her big debut that was happening as soon as she landed.
Who knows, next time ask?
Deep vein thrombosis. First time I flew overseas my feet and ankles swelled up. It was a big chuckle for my son. Not very overweight, in my 30’s, active, good health. It was very surprising. A decade later my right ankle has never fully gone back to normal. It’s kind of scary. Doc says to get up and walk around frequently on flights.
I don’t know why this is in my newsfeed. Very frustrating. Perhaps you could have asked her, since you were clearly curious.
What on earth is this? This comes off as outright misogynistic. Because a woman is wearing a short outfit and paces up and down the aisles she’s looking for attention? Perhaps she had something going on physically where she needed to walk a lot. I guess if a woman walks in front of him too much and is good looking she must want his attention in this author’s eyes. Ewww.
Aside from the misogyny, this is yet another example of how some of these travel blogs lately have become a sounding pad for writers with poor journalistic skills and desire to use their platform to express their feelings. Sure, blogs are not entirely news and newsworthy, but this was like a pompous child throwing a tantrum on the platform he’s been given.
This publication should pull this writer.
Perhaps she was hired to be the in-flight entertainment. Have you ever see how many followers women like that have on social media? Thirsty dudes will flock to airlines with such perks. Perhaps airline marketing departments probably determined that giving a woman a free flight for flirting with the entire plane pays for itself many times over.
Wearing a sports bra she seems to be doing some kind of a workout. You don’t think she is an alien like in Peter Carpenter’s They Live, don’t you?
She was OBVIOUSLY looking for someone to join the mile high club with.
This blog reaks of incel.
Self-projecting Bob?
You white people are having a COVID melt down over a blog when fuel prices are at it’s highest…since 9-11 I don’t trust nothing..what’s that they say at the airports if you see something say something…. Great blog homieyou’ll never get no where with easily tender candy ass people like this butt hurt group.
I don’t think that this is what you claim. A few people do this each flight for exercise.
I do understand if people get up and stretch in long haul flights to get their circulation going, especially older folks. However in cramped quarters with limited room to maneuver, using the plane as your personal gym is another matter. If you are healthy and fit, please use the plane, as others travelers do as a mode of transportation, not a gym, bar, music theater or club. Please wait till your destination to do all those things.
lmfao, my dude, have you never flown with anyone wearing a Fitbit? Please find yourself a therapist and get this twisted thinking in check, it’s toxic for you and those that this misplaced energy reaches. Your ignorance and insecurity is really made quite evident here and I’m pretty sure that’s not what you were going for, babe. Like this was super sad to read man, your engorged ego combined with this major insecurity you’re welcome to deny but lmao facts are facts and this blog post taught us some facts about you… So therapy is a great start, also the book The 4 Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz is an incredible place to start as well, only 75 pages quick read but gives you so much to reflect on. Especially the agreement that states “not everything is about you.” Like this woman walking up and down the aisle probably for steps, maybe out of anxiety, truly any number of reasons. I’d like you to ask yourself why you not only assume it’s for attention, you assume she’s “flaunting” ? And then why do you feel the need to write an article shaming her rather than letting her peacefully live her life having done nothing wrong, that I’d say every flight I’m on lasting 45min + there is at least 1 person who does this? Ask yourself if you would have written this post had it been a man doing so. Introspection is key for personal growth and maturity, and judging by the petty bullshit I just read you have much maturing to do. Good luck with the rest of your life
Looking for that one mile high destination
1. I personally dont agree with someone who said “Mind yr own business”, its only good for terrorist who can just walk around finding a good spot to place a bag of bomb and leave it there without anyone bother at all, and at the end…. its the end of yr life, not just yr business.
2. I worked as flight attendand too for 10 years in 1 of best airline in the world SIA, Safety is number 1 in our airline, so before take off/landing , during take off /landing and before airplane reach safe cruising altitude and declare safe by captain to open seat belt (captain normally will turn off seat belt sign), none of us as cabin crew dare to open seat belt or start walking around, as these moments are very crucial if anything wrong with airplane during these moments, if you are open seatbelt and walk around, you might hit yr head on the ceiling if there is sudden bad turbulence. Also during this few minutes of take off and landing we need to be ready in our head to think and act fast if there is any bad things happen.
So if I saw passengers walking around in front of me during preparation of take off /landing and before airplane reach safe cruising altitude, I would definitely stop and ask them to go back to their seat for their own safety. Pilot also normally turn off seat belt sign once condition is safe for all of us to commence our duty and passengers are allow to open seat belt and they can walk out of seat if they need to go toilet. Only in long flights, I will see some passengers will stretch their body in the middle of flights, not all the time. Our passengers are normally hooked to our entertainment system with free movies, games, news, etc and with monitor in front of their seats.
3. This woman passenger is definitely ask for attention of other passengers, or she is 1st time flying because she seemed like dont know the rule at all in the air plane and think she is just walking around her home. Fly for 45 minute is just short journey, so if she had health problem, she should inform airline about her health so she can ask for seat with more leg room for her to stretch her legs.
4. Always put ourselves in other peoples shoes. Some passengers just want to had some short nap in the airplane and not to be disturb, so by walking up and down the aisle will irritate some passengers who try to get some short rest. No matter what clothes she wear or how beautiful or ugly he or she, white or black, just remember to think in other people’s shoes. Also its distrubing for cabin crew to do their job because as cabin crew, we need to get aisle clear so we can finish our job fast in only 20 minutes. FYI, in 45 minutes flight, time during take off taken abt 5 minutes, and time during landing taken abt 5 minutes, and to reach safe altitude and preparation for landing also take about 5 minutes each, so cabin crew had only about 20 minutes to do their job serving all passengers. When I flew from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur it tke 45 minutes flight, last time we served free drinks which are coffee/tea, or juice. And we have only 20 minutes to serves all passengers in full flights. So if there is any passenger who keeps walk around the aisle, it will definitely disrupt our service too.
5. Its good to pay attention around us and be vigilant at all times, as most of young teenager now always think the “MIND YR OWN BUSINESS” you will see the examples what happened in US recently where some young teenagers or college students did shooting spree in the school without anyone knowing at all the sign of troubled of these people. And this person even put some message in his personal blog or facebook or instagram before they act, but no one care and just mind yr own business….Don’ wait until tragedy happened then react about it, PREVENTION is better than ITS TOO LATE.
This is my first time reading this article as its sometimes news or articles just pop out in my hp, and i was just reading it and read some comments from this articles and feels like giving some of my thought.
To anyone who like to say “Mind your own business” Do u think u live alone in this world?
When u need help, where do u get help? U will asked help from people that u said “Mind yr own business “??? Dont just say something for yr convinient.
We live in society where people need one another, where people have to be understanding and dont react and act as you wish, and inconvinient or disadvantage to other people.
For all travellers please understand / read the rule before you travel to avoid trouble to yourself.
Appreciate your comments. Thanks for your wise input.
Incredible journalism.
I’d say the only person seeking attention here is you Matthew!! 😉 But I am curious; how did you know you’d reached “initial cruise altitude” and how do you define that?
The double chime at 10K feet that comes just before the seatbelt light goes off.
It is weird that the passenger did that and that the flight ran without a problem to Vienna.
I think this is an example of assuming rather than facts.
My daughter is an adult with ADHD. She was diagnosed in her late teenage years. My daughters behavior is similar to the young lady in this article. I think of how embarrassed my daughter is when we travel. She doesn’t mean to draw attention and expresses anxiety when she does. I hope that no one is secretly taking photos of her and shaming her in every way imaginable in a trivial blog. There are so many interesting, exciting, and fun travel facts and tips that could have been shared. I wonder if the time on the plane could have been spent in a more positive way.
Who cares? Get a life dude.
Really? You wrote an article about some girl trying to get her steps in? Some people don’t like sitting for that long. It’s generally unhealthy, FYI. I’m embarrassed that I read this article… and embarrassed for you for writing it.
I think it’s a strange article as well. I was just thinking I often walk up and down the isles to get my blood flowing. Maybe not much on a 45 minute flight but certainly on a longer flight I would be surprised if anyone noticed.
Why not get a better photo. Just saying, I like looking a hot chicks as much as they like showing off
All you children are so petty. If she’s attractive then good for her, if she’s walking then good for her, who cares either way and all of you should be ashamed for criticizing someone trying to feed their curiosity. To the extreme too. Like all of y’all are speculating, this man clearly didn’t have the balls to ask. but again IDC. Bc it’s so petty LMAO all of y’all need a life and let it go
I totally agree, and notice after all this needless writing he didn’t even get a good picture.
No matter what you look like or are wearing, it is a distraction to other passengers and unsettling. If you really have to get up and move, then make your way to the restroom and do your standing or leg stretches in there. Don’t make the rest of us pay attention to you to make sure you don’t try to do something stupid.
This would not have bothered me, and hardly deserves the blog space. As long as she wasn’t in the way, what was the big deal? Most people look at other passengers as they walk up or down an aisle- it’s called human nature. And necessary to ascertain if someone needs to get out. You may or may not be right as to her motives- but they are hers, not for you to presume or worry about. Her attire is also her business.
Attractive woman walking in a cute outfit? Probably smiling instead of glaring like a certain blogger? Gee, you hate to see that. If you’re insecure, or just don’t like women.
But I get it, you have to write about something, and a deadline is a harsh mistress. Can’t wait to read your next blog. Maybe someone was swimming too many laps in a pool, or going back and forth to a buffet. Pulitzer Prize material for sure. The real irony is the name of your blog. Live and Let Fly. Just not walk.
Yes, you certainly identified the real horror of air travel- someone stretching her legs. Not the food and service standards that have fallen off a cliff at most airlines, the painful ear pressure, the air quality( better since COVID forced use of HEPA filters) the often wretched excuse for seats- ahh, thats it. If she is six feet tall she may not have enough legroom.
BTW this is me being diplomatic. Since so many others on here have already ripped you a new one.
We must agree to disagree. Now where is that can of blog-zapper?
Okay buddy, if you’re going to make this article you gotta at least get one decent picture featuring the booty. Seriously man I specifically clicked for that and you let us down. This article is pointless because of that.
20+ in a 45 minutes flight? Over 6′ tall good looking woman with a great figure wearing a short-short? Eye contacts? That’s could be exactly what kind of woman Matt has in mind despite he is married with children. Matt either was day dreaming or he was writing out his fantasy.
Tabloid? Yeah, Maybe. Generating an argument point to get the most post counts would be my second guess.
Good job Matt. Well done
Assuming that she wanted to get the recommended 5000 steps of daily walking, if the plane is less than 125 steps from front to back, then 20 repetitions isn’t even enough for the minimum exercise level above couch potato. It sounds like she simply wanted to stretch her legs.
I’m laughing at all the Peloton cultist types here who tout fitbits and “getting in your steps” as justification for why this was perfectly normal behavior and that a person should be entitled to pace up and down the aisle of an aircraft on a 45 minute flight. Even before getting in the air, lol. Sorry, you are wrong. It’s a plane. There are protocols. There are safety issues. There are service needs. It is not a treadmill. You want steps? Grab a bag in each hand like I do and walk up and down a concourse before your flight. There, problem solved.
Really, this article hitting Google brought out the idiot amateurs who clearly fly once a year to see Grandma and think an aircraft is a personal playground. Probably the same people that think it’s cute to let their kids climb all over you during a flight.
Really, not understanding the blog. Social media is giving every crackpot a platform to speak about unnecessary subject matters. Children dying in classrooms, people dying in grocery stores. Gas prices are at an all time high. And you are worried about a lady walking up and down the isle of a plane. Consider me lost on this one!
It’s a travel blog. We distract you from the bitter world we live in.
Wow so many replies!…Well done Matthew 🙂
Had she been wearing a burka, nobody would believe RLS,or other nonsense explanations,..people would have been freaking out.She was just an obnoxious idiot, like so many in economy class.
