Social media tools have never really appealed to me. It took an impostor to get me to sign up for Facebook and I deliberately avoided other tools like Twitter and Four Square because I figured they would be to distracting in a day that already does not have enough hours. But Twitter has grown on me over the last few months so I went ahead and set up a Twitter account this evening (a painless process that took two minutes).
I do not have a web-enabled smart phone in Germany, so the real-time updates will not come until I return to the States at the end of the year, but I will be using Twitter to post quick updates starting now. Follow me @LiveandLetsFly.

Welcome to Twitterland. It’s far less invasive than Facebook and I’ve found it to go hand-in-hand with blogging so far.
Let’s just keep the volume of Tweets low there, chief.
