United Airlines is giving away 50,000 editions of its final printed Hemispheres Magazine to its top flyers…here’s how you can request your free copy.
United Airlines OFfering Free Mailed Copy Of Final Hemispheres Magazine Print Issue
I recently shared that United Airlines is suspending the print edition of its long-running Hemispheres Magainze after this month and the final (September 2024) issue is now in print.
While you certainly can find it onboard your next United flight and take it with you, United is also making available 50,000 copies to its most loyal flyers…you just have to fill out a request here.
After logging into your MileagePlus account, Click on the blue “RSVP now” box:
A final “confirm purchase details” window will appear. Just click on the blue “Buy now” button.
The final confirmation screen will show your “purchase” was successful:
Now a warning. The criterion for who qualifies for this offer is not clear. You may click on its and find a big red X saying “you are not eligible to bid on this item” followed by this message:

With 50,000 extra copies available in addition to the onboard supply, I am hoping that all who want them, though, will be able to get them.

It’s nice of United to do this. The link is slow and coming up as error. Hopefully I’ll be able to get a copy. I’ll miss thumbing through it on my flights.
Hemispheres was one of the few decent magazines worth flipping through on a flight. A bit sad to see the print version going away.
I liked checking out the route maps in inflight magazines. Always fun.
After logging in I got the screen that said about 48,900 copies were available. But after I tried to claim I got this message:

Took a bunch of attempts. now that I’m logged in, and finally can see it, it says “cardmembers only”. >49,000 copies left, but I can’t order. Guess my MM status doesn’t pay the bills as well as Chase does…
I tried one more time, not using incognito mode, as I thought that might be the problem, but it seemingly worked. We’ll see it it ships. Good luck to those interested.
Thats interesting… I’m Silver but also a United Club cardmember and it said I wasn’t able to continue. Maybe Silver isn’t elite enough?

I have a collection of sentimental items and this will be one of the items. An inflight magazine will be something for my grandchildren to marvel at: You mean in the old days, you had to READ things and didn’t have a brain implant to directly convey it to you?
