FTU Washington, DC Returns In 2024

Frequent Traveler University is returning to Washington, DC next month and I’d love to see you there for our leadoff event of 2024.

FTU is a full day of expert-led sessions on trending travel topics and manufactured spending. It’s not only a venue to learn, but one to network with like-minded folks who love the points and miles game.

Why FTU? Isn’t all the information available on blogs or Flyertalk? Probably…if you look hard enough. But for those who value their time and may not eat, breathe, and sleep miles and points, this seminar is for you. Speakers will unpack in simple and understandable ways the many nuances of travel, miles, and points in 2024.

It’s a friendly atmosphere where questions and discussion are encouraged. I enjoy these events very much.

Once again this year, FTU is teaming up with the Travel & Adventure Show in Washington, DC to offer training alongside a major travel conference.

Let me also take this time to recommend you you attend the entire weekend. The T&A show will feature more great speaker and exhibitors.

FTU Signature Washington, DC

When:  February 24, 2024

Where: Washington Convention Center (801 Mount Vernon Place, NW, Washington, D.C. 20001)

Ticket price: $1oo for FTU Online Members, $149 for non-members. Tickets here.

Tickets include:

  • One full day of educational sessions on Saturday, February 24, 2024 (schedule here)
  • Free access to the Travel & Adventure Show and FTU stage on both Saturday, February 24th (10:00AM – 5:00PM) and Sunday, February 25th (11:00AM – 4:00PM)
  • Pizza dinner on Friday night (limited to first 50 who sign up here)

I will be speaking on United Airlines (a general session that touches on both the earning and redemption sides of MileagePlus and info on discerning whether to pursue elite status in an age of revenue-based loyalty) and also sharing about top travel destinations of 2024, including some off the beaten path that I hope to visit this year. Other confirmed speakers include:

  • Derrick Dye, Travel On Points
  • Sarah Dye, Travel On Points
  • Spencer Howard, Straight To The Points
  • Jamie Larounis, Upgraded Points
  • Justin Vacula, Hurdy Gurdy Travel Podcast
  • Carissa Rawson, Just Plane Points

Check out the full schedule here.

I hope to see many of you in The District this next month. I’ve spoken at these events for nearly a decade now and it is always a tremendous privilege.
