Why Is This Attractive Couple Suing Hilton?

A married couple is suing a Hilton Doubletree property in Denver, alleging the hotel allowed a voyeur to watch their congress. But I’d say the chances of recovery are premature.

The incident allegedly took place last September. The 35-year-old couple stayed at the DoubleTree Hotel Denver Stapleton North, apparently engaging in marital relations.

When Nathan opened the door on the morning of Sept. 11, 2019, he said he discovered the door’s peephole laying on the floor of the hallway outside his room.

“When I opened the door and I looked at it from the outside, I could tell that there was a smudge mark where somebody’s face and handprints were up on the door. Clearly they were peeking into our room,” said Nathan Parks.

Local media just ate this up.

Now the couple is suing. Mrs. Parks is indignant that “intimate moments” may have been captured. Perhaps it was the same couple that kept us up in Mykonos?

But the hotel says it reviewed security footage and found no evidence of voyeurism or evidence of tampering. Instead, the hotel insists it was just a maintenance issue (as if that speaks so much better of the hotel when peepholes just fall out…).

CONCLUSION

No hard evidence has been presented, so I’d rate this case as impotent at best.

Unless they were going at it all night the peeper would’ve had to stay watching all night to catch a glimpse of sex…unless of course they were being too loud….which is the most likely scenario.

Maybe it was Joe Biden, he’s into that sort of thing.

Maybe they were shagging against the door and the spyhole fell out. Can’t have been on the bed, or they’d only get ankle action

Usually on most hotels the door is not in front of the bed so even if what they say really happened nobody would be able to see what they were doing in bed.

In the animal world excessive baring of teeth is a sign of aggression. In the human population it should be viewed with suspicion, and particularly so in those who seek publicity for themselves in this manner. In that regard it’s a little like men who wear white shoes ( or, worse, crocodile/snake skin ones)…being wary of them is recommended.

Remember what happened to Erin Andrews? But at the same time, I can’t imagine someone being able to hang out in a hallway, for a long period of time, with their face pressed to a room door’s eye hole, and not have them reported to hotel management by another guest or perhaps be seen by the hallway security cam. To be honest, I think the bigger threat remains with in-room hidden cameras….especially with smart TVs now all the range. Let’s face it, nary a month goes by without hearing about people finding hidden cameras in bathrooms and changing rooms….gross. Let’s let the investigation play out before deciding what happened. Remember, just think about how sick you will feel if this actually happened to you. Hopefully the hotel can prove it’s point and that by doing so will provide the couple with peace of mind.
