Hotel Breakfast Thieves Exploit Loophole To Satiate Gluttony

Hotel Breakfast Thieves

It’s bad enough that thieves waltz into a hotel and help themselves to breakfast even when they are not guests, but now they are boasting about it on social media.

Hotel Breakfast Thieves: Scum

Breakfast at many limited-service hotel properties remains free. It also remains unregulated in the sense that there are generally no strict controls on who can eat and who cannot. View From The Wing notes a trend of “influencers” walking into hotels they are not staying at and posting videos boasting about their “free” breakfasts.

“They make it so easy to get the free hotel breakfast when you’re not staying at a hotel.”

My attitude toward TikTok is growing increasingly hostile as I see videos go viral of morbidly obese punks exploiting what little trust remains in this world for their own selfish advantage. I will usually embed the TikTok videos I am referencing, but do not want to give these people any validation (View From The Wing does feature them, if you are really interested).

On the one hand, I do not think limited-service hotels will find a sufficient return on investment to hire an extra person to monitor the complimentary breakfast buffet. On the other hand, we see some hotels issue paper vouchers that are collected by the men or women who clear tables and restock the buffet. We may see more of that because apparently people cannot be trusted.

I used to laugh at stuff like this. These days, I lament the charlatans who think that rules do not apply to them or who get ahead by taking advantage of the goodwill or trust of others. These people are swine and the flourishing societies of the West were built on the idea of respect for law and an ethic of reciprocity, not an “I’ll stab you in the back to get ahead” approach to relationships and life.

CONCLUSION

I have a big problem with people who sneak into hotels and steal breakfast. I appreciate that, to this point, it is one of the few vestiges of the past where people are still given some trust. But these days, low-class trash waltz into hotels and not only steal breakfast, but boast about it on social media. What a world.

    >I see videos go viral of morbidly obese punks exploiting what little trust remains in this world for their own selfish advantage.

This is not a coincidence. It is by design.

There are two genders. If you disagree, you’re a kiddy-diddler. Good. Let’s continue.

Being on time isn’t “whiteness”. It’s just better than being late. Get it?

Justice and equal rights (not equal outcomes) are the foundations of free societies.

DEI isn’t a real thing. Diversity officers are merely tithing to the church of fat slobs from Berkeley. (Don’t. Fire Shagonka, remind her to pack her hepatitis when she leves, and ignore the white landwhales screeching. Why would you EVER listen to anyone who cuts their own bangs?)

You see, there’s a reason the entire world is longing to live in countries with European/American culture. Our norms, values, systems.

The reason many black communities aren’t flourishing isn’t because some white Karen hasn’t had her vadge tingle with machochism this week. It’s because the culture is simply sub-standard. African culture doesn’t produce anything. Why are there fewer functioning railways in Africa today than 50 years ago? How lazy are you?

Move back or get out of the couch. Stop speaking like a 5 year-old. If you can’t get a job, do what white people did: make one.

Oh, now we’re at it: no need for reparations. No blacks have it better than the ones in America. You’re welcome.

    Now to the point.

The point of this is to degrade and distort our norms and values so the fascists can come in and offer a solution. It will be giving up all your agency and freedoms to some blue-haired groomer who in all other times would (and should) have been incarcerated.

The solution to this? Well, I don’t want to animate anyone to vigilante justice, but there’s a certain poetry about The Purge.

You’re constantly overdoing it with the superlatives. Charlatans? Scum?? Hotels know this happens, once they check diners then you can get aggressive, clearly they don’t think it’s that big a problem.

While remodeling my home I stayed at an affordable but clean hotel. Next door was a bottom budget chain. Every morning a continuous line of people from the bottom budget walked through the woods to the buffet breakfast at my hotel. I questioned the management about this. Turns out it was a non-issue. The buffet was catered every day and leftovers would be tossed if not consumed and they also welcomed any homeless folks. But the Tik Toks? Proud to be stealing blah food? When the stupidity end.

Professionalism is doing a good job even when nobody is looking. Influencers who steal lack professionalism.

True, there are many travel related things that could be done and bragged about but I don’t do it because I am not a bad person.

Just before the pandemic, there was an unlocked storage room at a Denver area Holiday Inn Express. Did I raid it and steal dozens of boxes of tissues and toilet paper? No. Did I then make a Tik Tok video? No.

Someday, someone will kill a sleeping dog or man and post it, just for laughs.

Yea Lisa, that’s a great comparison. Way to show everyone you’re an idiot without saying it. Even if I like the word “plandemic”, that’s a Top 10 worst correlation of all time.

Back to the original point, these clowns make it easy for anyone to question the value of the Chinese backed TikTok. Sadly theft has become acceptable to some and again, and I believe not many decent people on either side are OK with it. Only a fringe few try to justify it.

Nonetheless, treating other people poorly and or risking lives for one’s own personal gain/blog posts. It appeared that your bigger issue with the article was moral decay of society as a whole, not with just stealing, as a smaller subset of moral decay.

I frequently see delivery people, contractors and letter carriers that are providing service at the hotel take advantage of the free breakfast. Maybe these hotels have some kind of policy for these workers? I can see in the future hotels coming up with an extra fee for this situation, like a ‘non-guest food recovery charge’ ! 🙂

In many hotels overseas, it depends on your rate if breakfast is included or not. I’ve been given coupons, or asked to show my keycard, or have my name checked off a list. Hotels have an option to control this, and sadly with the tick tock nonsense hack culture, hotels must adapt.

If people are allowed to walk out of stores after shoplifting less than $900 in merchandise and rob a bank if under$2000 what is a little $50 breakfast to them…It is totally nuts to allow all of this but the blue statesand cities let this go on and even keep increasing the amounts that they can get away with and no one can intervene….

These hotel restaurants should be willing to give a little food, a free and cheap breakfast, to those who want or need it, especially the homeless (maybe have ‘the homeless’ non guests sit separately from the guests). They are probably going to throw out the leftover food and its going to go to waste anyway.

Sure, why not invite the homeless folks into the dining room for breakfast? Let them use the pool too. And come nightfall, tell them to stop by and occupy all the available rooms. It’s a great idea Tony, telling other folks what to do with their goods and money. Gives you a warm all-over feeling and doesn’t cost you a dime.

There are so many blood boiling issues here. These ‘influencers’ aren’t homeless. Another issue are those who pack a lunch for the day and their family from the breakfast buffet.

Fortunately (or unfortunately) most of the “low-class trash” (excellent description) are also morons. People often completely undermine their own cases with their own social media posts. Favorite: “Authorities have identified the driver who allegedly posted an Internet video of himself speeding around Manhattan in just over 24 minutes. Sources said … has a Canadian driver’s license. It was revoked by a judge Thursday, along with his passport.”

Not unlike Trump: every word is projection and just digs a deeper hole for himself.
