UPDATE: Folks, this fare is gone. Hope some of you were able to book it!
One Mile At A Time notes a particularly good deal on JetBlue if you are looking to travel to London cheaply in Mint Business Class. You can fly round-trip from San Juan to London via New York for only $795 round-trip in business class. That’s quite the deal.
Act Fast: Under $800 R/T For JetBlue Mint Business Class To London
While nonstop prices between New York and London are much higher (and rightfully so), JetBlue is offering much cheaper pricing from other cities. For example, fly from London to Ft. Lauderdale via New York and the flights (in both economy and business class) are cheaper than just the New York flight alone.
But the best deal, thus far, if you are just looking to experience the product is to start in San Juan, Puerto Rico. There, JetBlue is offering round-trip Mint fares starting at $795.
Note a couple things. First, you cannot combine a Mint one-way with a cheap economy class one-way (JetBlue forces you to buy a pricier Blue versus Blue Basic ticket if you want to mix fares). Second, you will be in economy class between San Juan and New York since that aircraft does not operate with a Mint business class cabin.
That said, this is a remarkable deal that likely will not last.

CONCLUSION
JetBlue is offering great fares to/from London if you go beyond New York. While there is a possibility JetBlue could claim this was an “error” I strongly doubt it (since economy class fares are even cheaper, which is often a tell-tale sign of a mistake fares).
I’m on the fence about this fare. Not because $795 is too much…the price is perfect. But because I think we will see many attractive fares in the days and weeks to come and hopefully some love from California, where I am based.
Will you take advantage of these JetBlue cheap London fares? I am tempted…
I checked JetBlue’s website and am kind of surprised to see that no DCA-LON fares exist (it’s not even bookable through the website).
LAX-LON fares are just being loaded. I would give it some time. Seems they were not fully prepared for the launch, but I’ll cut them some “first day” slack!
JetBlue no longer flies DCA-JFK, so I doubt there will be any DCA-LON fares until JetBlue starts their BOS flights to London. DCA-BOS-JFK-LON isn’t exactly ideal routing.
Those may have been mistake fares or already gone. Round trip at least $2000 on all days on that route now.
Now I regret not pulling the trigger. I sincerely did not think it was a mistake fare…
It’s worth the extra $1k to avoid San Juan. I spent a week there one night.
Seems like JetBlue pricing didn’t understand how YQ works; they, presumably in error, allowed Mint fares to combine with domestic fares, and in doing so the $650 each way YQ surcharge was “dropped” and only the much cheaper base fare remained. This is a nightmare pricing mistake that can turn out way worse than it did here. Even though the mistake was fixed, that JetBlue managed to mess up almost immediately suggests they aren’t ready for the big leagues.
London to NYC is £999 non-error-fare, and a fantastic deal in my opinion
