JetBlue Passenger Claims To Be Satan, Attacks Female Companion, But Evades Arrest After Flight Diverts

A JetBlue passenger claimed to be the devil and attacked his female companion, forcing her to seek refuge in the lavatory and forcing the flight to divert while still within Florida. The crazy part of the story is that the man apparently walked away free upon arrival in Orlando.

Claiming To Be The Devil, JetBlue Passenger Attacks Female Companion But Somehow Avoids Arrest After Flight Diverts To Orlando, Florida

A man claimed, “I am the devil” on a JetBlue flight from Fort Lauderdale (FLL) to Boston (BOS) then purportedly attacked his girlfriend. It became so bad that flight attendants hustled the woman into a lavatory and barricaded her inside to protect her.

The man approached the lavatory and began pounding the door with his fist in an attempt to open it. The crew was so afraid of the man that no announcement was made that the flight as diverting to Orlando (MCO) for fear of stirring him up even more.

After the man, still unidentified, was removed from the flight on the ground in Orlando, the captain told the flight:

“We had a disruptive, violent passenger in the back. Unfortunately, I could not make an announcement, tip him off. We didn’t want to agitate him more than he already was, he was attacking another passenger.”

JetBlue confirmed the flight “diverted to Orlando due to a disturbance between two customers on board” but did not provide further details about what transpired during the flight.

However, other passengers spoke to WCVB-TV and provided details on the self-identified “Satan” attacking the woman he was traveling with.

Here’s the galling thing: he was not even arrested! The man was intoxicated (what a surpirse…) and was brought to a local Orlando-area hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, passengers had to disembark the aircraft and wait for a replacement flight crew to be brought in and did not arrive in Boston until 4:31 am.

CONCLUSION

The “Devil” made an appearance on a JetBlue flight from South Florida to Boston, creating a violent situation onboard and forcing a diversion. Apparently, Satan likes to liquor up before flying…

While he has not been arrested yet, I am hopeful that federal prosecutors will charge him for flight disturbance and his girlfriend will place charges against him as well.

Someone call Fr. Gabriele Amorth…

I wonder why these things don’t happen in Latin America. Oh, I guess it is because the consequences will not be as pleasant has in the US. LOL

+1. Make the consequences severe enough and the number of incidents will plummet. An inter-airline no-fly list for the USA alone would drop the number of incidents by a lot. Since that’s not the case, we get jokers like this.
