JetBlue Mint Service Coming to Palm Springs

Matthew Klint Posted onOctober 10, 2017October 10, 2017 Leave a Comment

JetBlue Mint Palm Springs

JetBlue Mint Class sets the standard for domestic transcontinental service. Residents and visitors of Palm Springs will be able to fly Mint Class to/from New York for a brief period later this year.

JetBlue serves Palm Springs seasonally and will return this year from November 16th through May 1st. Historically, JetBlue has used a single-cabin A320 on the route. This year, for the high-demand holiday period between December 21st and January 3rd, JetBlue will offer service with Mint Class.

Mint Service will be offered on the following daily flights:

JFK – PSP Flight #149 PSP – JFK Flight #150
6:30 p.m. – 9:46 p.m. 10:58 p.m. – 6:59 a.m. (+1)

Mint features include:

  • lie-flat seats
  • premium bedding
  • complimentary high-speed internet, live TV, and feature films
  • tapas style dining
  • artisanal ice cream
  • curated wines
  • espresso-based coffee drinks
  • Hayward & Hopper amenity kits

You can read my review of Mint above — it truly was the best domestic flight I have ever taken.

CONCLUSION

The population in Palm Springs swells during the winter/spring season before retreating during the brutally hot summers. Even so, the population continues to rise and home values are through the roof. With JetBlue experiencing a 48% increase in demand since it launched the route in 2016, perhaps there will be a case for year-around Mint service if sales are strong this season.
