Live and Let’s Fly Weekend Digest: September 24, 2017

Matthew Klint Posted onSeptember 24, 2017November 14, 2023 1 Comment

After a few weeks at home, I’ll be traveling again at the end of the week.

Leaving home is always bittersweet. When you get used to your daily routine, especially with your family, it is particularly difficult to leave. I love waking up next to my wife each morning and walking into my son’s room to see his smile and hear his giggles as he wakes up. Yet I am smitten by the travel bug, something I’ve learned to live with after more than a decade. I’m looking forward to the trip and it is for work, not play.

Last week United announced its final 747 flight, introduced a new safety video, and promised its gate agents greater discretion in their daily duties. Delta announced two new European routes from Los Angeles and a flight diverted after a drunk man attacked the crew both physically and verbally.

Here’s a look at the week’s top stories and a review of all Live and Let’s Fly posts over the last week.
