Lost Cat Turns Up on Air Canada Flight

Matthew Klint Posted onAugust 26, 2016December 5, 2016 1 Comment

Have you ever heard a flight attendant come down the aisle asking, “Has anyone seen a cat?”

I haven’t either, but I wasn’t on Air Canada Flight 189 from Ottawa to Vancouver earlier this week, where about 20 minutes prior to landing a FA did utter those very words.

But that unusual question elicited an even odder response–

“The gentleman next to me says, ‘Oh, I’ve seen a cat.’ And we all look at him and he says, ‘The cat is here at my feet.’”

Wait, what?

“His kids were sitting behind him and they said, ‘Oh how did you know there was a cat?’

And he said, ‘Oh, I felt something on my ankle.

Let me just tell you, if I felt “something on my ankle” you can bet I would not have ignored it…

But as a cat lover, I must admit it would have been a joy to find a friendly feline at my feet.

Turns out another passenger had brought two cats onboard and one got loose, prompting the frantic pre-arrival search. A happy ending to our story.

The news clip is pretty amusing:

And here is the FA with the rescued cat:

Haha, I probably would’ve started playing with the cat, much to the annoyance of my seatmate!
