Lurid: Multiple Fights Break Out In Miami Airport Gate Area

Miami Airport Fights

There’s nothing like a Sunday evening fight…between passengers at Miami International Airport.

Fight Night: Passengers Brawl At Miami International Airport

Check out this 90-second clip shared on Twitter of multiple fights occurring near gate D14 (if you’re familiar with MIA, this is in the American Airlines terminal near the Urban Decay and elevators up to the American Express Centurion Lounge).

Perhaps more interesting than the fights themselves (and it is not at all clear what caused these fights or how far ahead of filming they started), is that other passengers just stood around and watched and that no law enforcement showed up to break up the fight.

By the end of the clip above, it appears an American Airlines employee (poor guy…) does attempt to step in, but it is another passenger (man in the blue shirt) who seems to play a greater role in separating the brawlers from one another.

Unconfirmed accounts on Twitter suggest that arrests were later made.

CONCLUSION

Rather than speculate about the circumstances surrounding this fight, I’ll only concede that I too probably would have stood back and watched, in fear of my own safety. Kudos to the man in the light blue shirt for stepping in and trying to break things up.

And that the fight occurred outside an Urban Decay shop…how tragically fitting.

Did you witness the fight? How would you have handled it?

I did hear people yell out security.
Good thing there are no knives or guns involved.

Thank goodness law enforcement didn’t show up. Someone would have inevitably been shot. Those people shouldn’t be fighting, and they should definitely be charged with assault or disorderly conduct, but I think it’s unlikely police would have deescalated this situation safely. Why can’t everyone just behave.

Why would anyone that have absolutely nothing to do with the fight try to intervene? To maybe get hurt? Or to be on social media since someone will be videotaping it? Maybe be taken by police since “apparently” you were part of the fight? Hell no!!!! Let them kill each other so the less morons in this world the better.

Honestly, it’s not worth breaking it up. The best-case scenario is you end a fight that had nothing to do with you. Worst case scenario you get hurt and end up being arrested before it’s all cleared up. Not worth it.

The perps were non revs traveling on employee passes. It s just not worth your pass privileges trusting others to behave. The D terminal is 1.3 miles long and the cops are lazy at the airport. But really with todays environment they just finished their donut and let the actors play out. This is typical behavior for MIA. Nothing new.

I’m with you Santastico! There seems to be a pattern developing here and it’s not the airline I’m hinting at.., credibility lost.
