Intoxicated Southwest Airlines Passenger Leads Police On Chase Through Orlando Airport On Her Motorized Suitcase Before Spitting On Cops And Defecating In Patrol Car

A passenger responded in anger to being denied boarding on a Southwest Airlines flight, leading police on a wild chase through Orlando Airport on her motorized suitcase. When she was finally apprehended, instead of leaving the airport premises as asked, she allegedly spit on two cops and then defecated in their patrol car.

Intoxicated Woman Leads Airport Police On Chase Using Her Motorized Suitcase

Chelsea Alston, 32, is in a lot of trouble. The woman was denied boarding on her Southwest Airlines flight from Orlando (MCO) to New York LaGuardia (LGA) when gate agents noticed she appeared intoxicated. Altson claimed she had “just” had two drinks and began repeating:

“I don’t want no beef. I’m just trying to go home and enjoy myself.”

But she allegedly reeked of booze, could not walk straight, and her eyes looked glazed over. She refused to leave the gate area and police were summoned. In a video of the incident, police can be heard telling her:

“It’s OK. You just need to go over to the terminal and sober up a little bit. Get another flight.”

Altson responded by unleashing a tirade of profanities and waiving her middle finger.

She then shouted, “F— you! Suck my d—!” before hopping onto her motorized suitcase and taking off through the terminal.

As bystanders giggled at the spectacle, one cop remarked, “Oh man, that thing kind of goes fast.”

Altson was finally caught and the police officers told her the game was over and she had to exit the secure area of the airport. She responded by spitting on the officer. Police handcuffed her and led her outside. Altson again spit on the officer then struck him in the eye.

She was placed in the back of the patrol car, where she defecated in protest.

Altson faces up to five years in prison for battering a police officer and another five years for her damage to the patrol the car, though likely will serve only a small fraction of that time. She is out on a $13,500 bond.

Oh yes, and there is video:

The incident first occurred in April 2021, but video was released yesterday by the Orlando Police Department.

CONCLUSION

I’ve watched a lot of car chases in my time, but this is the first time I’ve ever seen a suitcase chase. Goodness, those things go pretty fast. Does anyone know the maker of that suitcase? That might be my next carry-on bag…though not to evade cops.

Your titles are often way too long and detracting.

another intoxicated idiot that believes they’re entitled to board an aircraft under such influence. Again, you can’t fix stupidity.

The police offer deserves commendation for his professionalism and polite behavior. He could have easily used force (and is completely justified in doing so) after being spit on twice!

Bravo to the police officer for going beyond the call of duty.

Obviously she acted like a dummy, but nobody actually got hurt. Clearly this woman is not of sound mind. Now she’s on the hook for money she likely doesn’t have, will serve a jail term, and have a record that will most likely never enable her to ever have a good job again. I get that they had no choice but to arrest her, and I appreciate that the cops showed some restraint, but I hope she’s shown some mercy in sentencing and hopefully given some help. We’ll all be better as a society if she is.

I would argue spitting on anyone could put them at risk of multiple diseases or viruses, so saying “no one got hurt” might not be true.

Yes, if you search for the news it will say this happened last April but the video of the incident was just released by the Orlando police yesterday.

I don’t find this funny. In fact I find it heartbreaking. We have to ask ourselves as a society why we see these things over and over in this country and laugh, or act shocked. There is something very wrong with us.

I wanna get tanked and then cruise around the airport on my luggage! I think I can hold it together enough to avoid necessitating law enforcement involvement. What concourses are best for boozing and cruising? I am thinking long and straight, like maybe MIA’s D or DTW’s McNamara. Thoughts?

Race the train at DTW from end-to-end. I’m sure the train is faster but it has 1 middle stop.

5 years for damaging a police car for pooping in it? The back of those cars have plastic seats for that reason. They take a water hose to that. She didn’t damage the car
