New Interface for British Airways Avios Online Redemption

Matthew Klint Posted onDecember 12, 2012December 9, 2016 6 Comments

At 2am after working the last 16 hours with only a break to workout, I am too tired to go into detail right now, but I was pleasantly surprised tonight to find what appears to be a positive enhancement to the British Airways online Avios redemption tool.

A new look makes it easier to search across multiple dates and most importantly, partner availability is displayed immediately–you no longer must click the discreet “search partners” box on the left side of the page when searching for non-BA metal (which BA craftily would not even offer if BA metal was available).

I’ll probe this deeper in the coming days, but at first glance, this looks to be a positive change that hopefully will cut down on my conversations with people like Sherri!

Much cleaner than their old interface! Searching non-BA routes was time consuming and annoying with the previous version.

It seems like their working on something at the moment, so lets be patient. For some reason I’m not able to pull up any domestic connections on AA. There’s a button for monthly availability for BA but doesn’t exactly work yet.

It doesn’t matter in the end because no matter the interface, BA availability just plain SUCKS.

Agreed…it’s so damn hard to use Avios…

Is this blog dead? I barely see new content loaded and rarely see comments from readers. I used to enjoy reading but have switched to bloggers that update content regularly.

hmm..did my last post about the decline of this website get deleted?

this used to be a fairly interesting blog but lack of new content has really killed what could have been an ok thing.

@alex: this blog is far from dead. But this month has been difficult on my levels (the first line of this post should be a hint). Worry not–I’ll be back to regularly-sceduled programming in 2013.
