New JetBlue Leisure Routes

JetBlue is hardly coy about its intentions here. Its press release explicitly states these new routes are about generating cash and maximizing revenue. All new flights will begin in November and December and will run on an experimental basis as JetBlue adjusts to its new post-pandemic reality.

CONCLUSION

JetBlue will launch several new routes, including between some city pairs that have never had nonstop service. Whether this experiment will work is another story, but it is great to see the effort and I look forward to the additional options out of LAX, especially with the new American Airlines partnership.

Do any of the new JetBlue routes catch your eye?

Bozeman is interesting. I have long wondered why it gets overlooked so often for expansion. I have long argued that WN is missing a great opportunity there. It has fantastic summer traffic to access Yellowstone and awesome skiing at Big Sky in the winter. As well it is a booming city with a great young vibrant feel. Missoula is the other one. While I wonder if FLL is the right airport to serve Bozeman, JFK would seem better to me, it’s a great start to see this beautiful town start to get some love.
