Off to Buenos Aires on United Airlines!

Matthew Klint Posted onJuly 21, 2010 2 Comments

I may not be going to China this week, but I am taking a trip to Buenos Aires on United. I have a meeting in Boston on Thursday and found that a ticket on UA to BOS was more expensive than a trip to EZE on UA with a 14hr layover in BOS. I also managed to schedule in a day in Denver on the outbound (when passing through Colorado, I haven’t been outside Denver International Airport since 1997) and a day in Las Vegas on the return.

My time in Argentina will be limited, only five days, but I plan to squeeze in as much as I can, including a trip to Iguazú Falls, a quick hop over to Montevideo, and a few nights at the Park Hyatt in Buenos Aires.

Tentative Schedule:

  • 21 July: LAX-DEN, all day in Denver, DEN-BOS redeye
  • 22 July: all day in Boston, BOS-IAD-EZE
  • 23-27 July: sightseeing/relaxation in Argentina and Uruguay, late EZE-IAD departure
  • 28 July: IAD-LAS, 8 hours in Las Vegas, LAS-LAX

I will be bringing my computer along and hope to post updates during the trip, but just in case I have prepared the final segments of Central America trip report and a few news items over the next week.

When in Buenos Aires, make sure you check out the Recoleta Cemetery. It’s just a short walk from the PH and is an amazing sight, sort of a miniature village of mausoleums.

The most gleeful time I’ve had in my adult life, was at Iguazu Falls. Take the boat ride under the falls and let them crash on top of you…a full-on blast!
