Photo Essay: Springtime In Sydney

Matthew Klint Posted onDecember 7, 2023December 7, 2023 9 Comments

I recently spent a day in Sydney, Australia and want to share a photo essay from my springtime afternoon walk through the city.

Springtime In Sydney Photo Essay

After arriving in Sydney around 6:30 am, I made my way to the Park Hyatt Sydney, worked out, ate breakfast, and then got some work done.

I finished by early afternoon, which gave me some time to explore Sydney a bit…I had not been outside the airport in many years.

Late October is springtime in Sydney and the weather was perfect, with moderate temperatures and flowers and trees blooming. It was a fairly windy outside, hence my bad hair day, but the breeze was pleasant.

Windy day = bad hair day

I just began walking from my hotel at Sydney Harbour toward the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney looking for some coffee on the way. It was approaching 3:00 pm and many people were out in the streets.

I stopped for some coffee at a place called Gumption Coffee (more on that tomorrow) and then decided to attend a choral Evensong at St. Andrew’s, which was quite nice.

After church, I took the Sydney Light Rail back to Circular Quay, a rail system that was quite convenient and did not exist the last time I was here (at least the L3 Kingsford Line).

And that was that. It was dinner time and I stayed in the hotel.

I’d like to spend many days in Sydney…but I was glad to have at least one afternoon to walk around.

Lovely! I enjoyed a couple days in Oct staying at the InterContinental Club level suite as Ambassador Upgrade. Took many similar photos. Although your Modern Art sculpture and both Bridge & Opera House photo is brilliant 🙂

I’m interested in your upcoming Qantas First Class review. I flew to Sydney in it and was not all that impressed. First up No Hot Towels.
SYD SIN LHR in SQ Suites put it out of my mind 😉

The L2 and L3 lines (CBD & Southeast Light Rail) opened in 2019.

It’s interesting to see visitor’s perceptions of Sydney!

My wife and I were just in Sydney in November, looks like we visited a lot of the same spots. Next time try to visit Hobart, Tasmania, it’s beautiful there.
