American Express has a growing network of airport lounges including a spacious lounge at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas that is so enjoyable that I recently forced a connection in Las Vegas just to take advantage of it!
With plenty of room to work, relax, eat, drink, and shower you can easily spend hours here. Lounge attendants are great and the food, as you will see below, is fabulous. I have used the lounge three times since it opened and at no point has it been overcrowded.
Food in this lounge is fabulous — not just tasty comfort food, but truly delectable options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Scott Contant, owner of the Scarpetta Italian restaurant chain, serves as executive chef, but the lounge has more than just Italian food on offer. The lamb and beef Börek is particularly tasty.

A full bar with complimentary drinks is also available, including great Bloody Marys in the morning, cocktails and wine, and even delicious coffee (order your coffee from the bar rather than making it yourself from the machine).

I have nothing but praise for this lounge — if you find yourself going through LAS Vegas with a long layover, it is worth the cost of entry even if you do not have a Platinum or Centurion card.
Awesome write up! Looking forward to checking out this lounge.
If you have not yet visited the Lounge in DFW it is even nicer than the one in LAS. The SFO one is great as well, but seems a bit smaller than the others and does not offer any non-pork food options. Their wine bar is quite nice though.
Overall, I have to imagine that this is what airline lounges used to be like when they first opened.
