A stay in Paris should be magic, and in our case it certainly was. The Park Hyatt Paris-Vendome delivered on a perfect Parisian stay.
Located just off the historic and beautiful Place Vendome, the hotel is perfectly positioned for visitors to Paris. Convenient metro stops, the Champs Elysses, the Louvre and Museo D’Orsay are all nearby. The Paris Opera (one of two) is also nearby. It is in the First Arrondissement.

There should be a caveat to the word suite. By Paris standards, it was a suite, by most of the rest of the world, it was a large studio with a very large bathroom. That said, the room was well appointed. A large TV was built into a glass mirrored wall, the bed was comfortable and they set a bed for Lucy simply because they saw her on the reservation (though it could also be that My Hyatt Concierge is great and let them know she’d be with us.)
One complaint was that the minibar had triggered slots with no room for anything else. We triggered it when we put some cheese in the fridge and had to clarify that we didn’t take anything from the minibar. You can sometimes ask that the items are removed but we didn’t bother. Maybe we should have.
The bathroom was stunning. There was plenty of room for our many bags, a huge plus when travelling on a very long trip as we were. The shower was spacious, the toiletries were excellent, and Lucy made use of the large soaking tub. If I had any complaints about the bathroom it would be just two. First, the toilet should have had a bidet or bidet seat. Second, the doors were sliding hung doors that didn’t fully close.
Tiptop service is not always a given, even at high-end hotels and resorts. The Park Hyatt Paris-Vendome absolutely delivers on expectations for exquisite service. We needed a power plug converter, “How many would you like” they arrived at our door shortly thereafter. Whatever was needed was there in a minute. That’s how service should be at a property like this and it was.
Welcome to Globalist breakfast heaven. Not all Hyatt hotels that still have room service will allow Globalists to take their included breakfast in the room, many require guests to dine in the restaurant downstairs, sometimes with a limited menu. The Park Hyatt Paris-Vendome offers a la carte items or their €55 American breakfast for each registered guest (up to two adults and two children) every day.
It’s opulent. It’s too much food. It’s delicious. And we maxed it out every day.
Nutella pancakes for Lucy, perfectly fluffy scrambled eggs for me, fresh-squeezed juice for Carly – everyone had everything they wanted and much more with slippers and robes on. This is the kind of elite benefit that makes all of the nights in a roadside Hyatt Place worthwhile. This is one of the many reasons we are loyal.
The Park Hyatt Paris-Vendome is a Category 7 property, traditionally the top level of the chain. The cash price of the hotel was approximately €2500 for our three-night chain. However, we used a Category 1-7 certificate and 30,000 points/night (60,000 in total) for our stay. Adding in the cost of breakfast (€165/day) makes the value even greater even if you establish a lower value to the meal or choose not to get the maximum. For us, the value was extraordinary and we would absolutely return.
