Review: The Back Office Backpack by Moral Code

Carly Stewart Posted onNovember 18, 2018November 14, 2023 Leave a Comment

We try a lot of luggage here at Live and Let’s Fly, after all, traveling is our passion and luggage is key to the journey. Kyle and I had a chance to try Moral Code’s Excursion Duffle and The Back Office Backpack on a trip to Mexico and almost never put them down.

Luxury, Utility

The Back Office backpack is an organizational dream. I moved from my larger, utility-style backpack to the Back Office on a recent trip and immediately fell in love. This luxury backpack features a large compartment, two smaller compartments at the front and a slide-through slot on the back that allows it to slip onto the handle of a rolling suitcase.

As soon as I opened up the large compartment I noticed the fabric lining. It seems that every element of the bag was thoughtfully produced and carefully crafted. I was excited to pack this bag as my carry-on and utilize the systemized spaces.

The piece was designed by travelers, each compartment has a purpose to make travel easier without adding bulk. With our international itinerary, having our passports at the top of the bag, easily accessible was extremely helpful. I frequently travel with three passports together, even with this larger item at the top, there was still plenty of extra space in the top zippered compartment for other items.

Size

The backpack is a great size for all of your on-the-go travel items or your office/work bag. It measures 11.6”L x 6.4”W x 18”H. Not only is the bag functional but also comfortable for walking through the airport, city center, and fits under the seat on an airplane with room to spare.

Exterior

The exterior is made of a soft tan leather, sturdy gunmetal zippers that close each pocket and adjustable straps. At the top, there’s a handle for times where you don’t want it over your shoulder. While Moral Code offers many classic, stylish pieces for men, this bag is definitely unisex. I loved wearing it around the airport and through the markets in Merida, MX.

Interior

The inside of this bag might be just as lovely as the outside. The lining is attractive but not flashy. The biggest draw for me was the pockets. A compartment for my laptop, room for books and notebooks, a small inner space for my planner and pens, a spot for my keys and even a pocket I used for a few of my daughter’s items. I was able to make use of every pocket and slot this bag offered. Typically I travel with a larger purse and a backpack, but with the style of this bag and the functionality, I used the backpack over carrying my purse for a lot of our trip.

The Back Office is a perfect traveling companion for any stylish jet-setter. This luxury backpack has an understated, modern feel. You can shop the Back Office Backpack from Moral Code here.
