Lush Staggers Off Ryanair Flight After His Malfeasance Forces Diversion…

drunk man led off plane

A passenger who had purportedly consumed a few too many alcoholic beverages was mercifully led off the flight to a round of applause by a cadre of French police officers.

Intoxicated Passenger Prompts Ryanair Diversion To French Wine Region

If you watch the video below the man appears so intoxicated that you really have to wonder how he managed to step onboard the flight (and climb the air stairs) in the first place. Were the effects of the alcohol (or potentially drugs) still setting in? Did he consume more onboard? And he clearly caused some sort of disturbance onboard since the flight diverted and a number of police officers boarded the flight to lead him off.

The man looks…sloshed. He could not have walked off that flight even if he wanted to.

And judging by the round of applause as the fellow was removed from the aircraft, there is no pity due for him.

Ryan air Liverpool to Ibiza, diverted to Bordeaux 😂 ffs don’t do drugs kids! #ryanair #ibiza pic.twitter.com/2CQJFEpley

The backstory is that this was a Ryanair flight from Liverpool (LPL) to Ibiza (IBZ). About an hour into the flight, his behavior became so bad the flight was forced to divert to Bordeaux (BOD) in France.

I was on a flight last week with an intoxicated passenger. I seriously thought there would be an issue because he kept standing up and sitting down, though he did not stray from his seat. A flight attendant noticed he appeared a bit tipsy and when he requested another double vodka (slurring his words) his request was politely declined. I was bracing for outrage but the man just nodded and asked for some ginger ale instead. Smart man.

This man…not so much.

“Did eventing happen onboard?” – Did you mean drinking?

“though he did not stay from his seat.” – I think you meant stray.

All I needed to read was “Liverpool to Ibiza”. Those Brits are professional drinkers. I have never seen people drink like they do. It is unreal. Not surprised at all.

If I flew Ryanair to Ibiza, I think I’d almost be disappointed if it didn’t divert. Isn’t a good show half the fun of going there?

I can’t believe he was allowed on the plane.
