United Airlines occupies Terminals 7 and 8 at LAX and is undergoing a much needed facelift. Coming by 2017 will be a new check-in lobby with streamlined security, a re-designed multi-level United Club with a patio perfect for planespotting and enjoying the mild LA climate, and a refreshed baggage claim area.
I flew out of LAX on Friday and noticed a series of new sketches that provide us some additional clues of what the newly remodeled terminal and club will look like.
The sketches look great and it is nice to see United invest in a better terminal experience at their oft-overlooked west coast hub.
Wish they’d do something at IAD…LAX is a palace compared to the DC dump!
@DavidB: So do I, but that’s a whole other matter — they are too busy fighting over who will pay for the new terminal to think about upgrading the “temporary” one.
