Skirmish Over Seat Assignment at EWR

Matthew Klint Posted onOctober 15, 2010 2 Comments

Involving me…

I don’t take kindly to being moved from 17D (front of the economy cabin with in-seat power) to 35E (middle seat near the back of the aircraft with no power) with no explanation offered.

More importantly, I didn’t appreciate the indifference of multiple CO employees, all flippantly telling me that "seat reservations aren’t guaranteed."

The aircraft door is about to close so you’ll have to wait for the full story until tomorrow, but I’m not looking forward to my flight to Brussels tonight.

Looks like 16, 17, 18 and 19 E were open, as was 35F. Did you at least get E & F to yourself? Maybe they thought it was some sort of upgrade to not have a neighbor?
