What’s your opinion on your new racist fascist President? America has just voted in someone who has showed way worse warning signs than Hitler ever did.

You talk of studying a horrific past to prevent it happening in the future (which is admirable thank you)

So…what do you think? Don’t dress it up, or hide what you really think. Tell us. Just wondering.

Good grief. This is pathetic, and I write that as someone who did not support or vote for Donald Trump. Is this some kind of test on your part? If the author doesn’t agree with your ridiculously hyperbolic statement, you won’t read his travel blog? Why did you decide to let politics consume your life and make you so bitter?

There are many websites that you can visit to read about politics. How about if you leave the travel blogs to those of us who want to read about and discuss travel.

Great Andy, why don’t you renounce your U.S. citizenship and we’ll all be happy!

While I have very strong feelings on this matter, this blog is not the avenue upon which to express them. Andy picked up on the thesis of my post and I will simply repeat, understanding the cruelty of humanity’s past is essential to ensuring that history does not repeat itself.

When I spent a summer studying up the coast in Kenya, it was challenging to make friends or even hold lengthy conversations with people, because I was often seen as a prospective source of money due to my skin color. I don’t blame people who did see me as such, but it’s a confusing thing.
Did anybody request money after having their photos taken?
Also curious about the options for getting to Zanzibar with miles. Do you have resource suggestions on that? Thanks!

      Hi Mtu,

No requests for money. Last time I had to pay for a picture was in Peru!

I will have a post details ways to get to Zanzibar (and other places in Tanzania) with miles.
