The Bizarre Case Of American Woman “Revolutionizing” Pakistan

Onijah Robinson Goes To Pakistan

An otherwise unknown, 33-year-old New Yorker Onijah Robinson, has made herself famous by traveling to Pakistan to see her “husband.” But her 19-year-old “husband” who she met online and purportedly married in Utah online. Supposedly, he didn’t want to see her, and his family tried to send her away. She then held a “press conference” with a local politician where she demanded $100,000 to Make Pakistan Great Again. She later added that she needed $20,000 upfront and $2,000/week to stay.

A Week Of Hotel Reviews, Thwarted Extraction

As her story and videos of it went viral, she began advocating for local hotels in Pakistan for renovation. She suggested that this hotel deserves $200,000 from the government “because it’s nice.” She had threatened others with bad reviews to enrich herself as seemed to be her campaign in the last few weeks, after holding herself in the country and demanding her own ransom.

She would have done better if she had demanded a fee to leave.

But for the lovely Ms. Robinson, even that comes free in life. She was given a free ticket back to New York City, and after some attempts she took her flight back to New York.

“The News International – one of the country’s largest English language newspapers – said that a medical board had declared her fit to travel having discharged her from a stay in hospital. She was persuaded to return home by US consulate staff in Karachi, who also arranged her ticket, the newspaper added.” – The Independent

Lost In Dubai

Well… she boarded the itinerary bound for New York but it was on Emirates and connected in Dubai where Ms. Robinson left the airport and was walking around Dubai.

Seeing the city on a stopover is often recommended, however, Ms. Robinson’s stay extended beyond its intended term and reports have it that she missed her flight back home and was taking selfies with fans who recognized her on the streets.

Reports have come in that Ms. Robinson ultimately landed back in the United States after a slight delay. Passengers were told that someone without clearance to enter the US had been removed from the flight purportedly. Robinson was said to be seen leaving the aircraft in New York escorted by a number of plain clothes law enforcement officials and at one point was seen “on all fours.”

A man claiming to be her son in the US said that she has “mental bi-polar” disorder and it does appear by the very concept of her trip that she may have had a breakdown of some sort.

Conclusion

The US government felt it was in the best interest to get Robinson back to the United States before she caused an international incident. The embarrassment of showing up to Pakistan and being rejected by someone she believed to be in love with might have been enough to break her. Holding herself hostage and demanding hundreds of thousands of dollars from the Pakistani government is a different level of derangement. People are obviously concerned for her, and we wish her well.

Pakky has never risen to ‘below average’ … she took on an impossible challenge .

Reforming Bangladesh would have been even more challenging .
