After working tirelessly to erase herself online, a woman named Tiffany Gomas who claimed her seatmate was not real on an American Airlines flight from Dallas to Orlando has resurfaced and is offering an apology for an onboard incident that has reverberated around the world.
Tiffany Gomas Goes On The Record, Offers Apology For Outburst On American Airlines
We’ve written about the woman who claimed her seatmate on an American Airlines flight was not real and followed up when her identity was revealed via public information request as Tiffany Gomas. Faced with widespread reporting on her background as a marketing executive living in a pricey home in the Lakewood neighborhood of Dallas, she has now gone on the record via a resurrected Twitter (X) account:
I apologize and take accountability for my actions, they were uncalled for. My very worst moment was captured on video. Although the memes have been amusing, the flipside has been cruel. I’m thankful for my friends and family for supporting me through this. This experience has… pic.twitter.com/0AfQcaEzj0

16.7 million views and counting…
She also posted a link to her new website, tiffanygomas.com, which apparently is receiving so much traffic that it crashed (because I cannot open it).
I just love this. Gomas is genius. I don’t think she is so diabolical that every step was carefully planned (I think the outburst was spontaneous and unintended), but now she has taken charge of the narrative. By holding off so long on going public and removing her presence online, she build mystery which only gave her a great mystique.
Her apology strikes me as genuine (at least her words do not equivocate with the usual “sorry if you were offended” stuff) and I think she will use this interview to springboard to all sorts of TV, podcast, and magainze interviews this week.
That’s the way to turn lemons into lemonade.
CONCLUSION
Tiffany Gomas has gone on the record with a two-minute apology video on Twitter over her viral incident on American Airlines. I applaud Gomas for making the best of this situation and hope that in the interviews which are sure to follow we will find out more about how this whole incident transpired in the first place.
What do you make of her apology?

That wasn’t an apology. That was a half hearted attempt to gain sympathy for the “mean meme’s”.
She tried hard to make the apology sincere but it’s clearly not.
Ah, marketing her PR skills. Find yourself in a mess? Hire spin doctor Tiffany.
I know she’s very attractive and cunning, but come on, Matt!
She only offered an apology after her identity was revealed via a FOIA request to the law enforcement agency that had to deal with her. Up until then, she was silent and did her level best to disappear. There’s nothing genuine about this.
Let’s not forget that she literally tried to dehumanize some poor soul by accusing them of not even being real. And how the heck did she jump to that issue when her point of frustration was the alleged taking of earbuds by a family member? If she wanted to actually apologize, the lease she could do would be to offer a direct apology to the person who she dehumanized and explain what the heck led up to it…however messed up it may have been.
I watched the video too. It seemed very genuine to me. She apologized to everyone on the plane in her video. The apology was clear and not conditional.
She hasn’t allowed an immense amount of time to elapse from the incident to the apology. I assume the going dark on social media was due to feeling ashamed. She probably needed a bit of time to regroup and figure out how to properly handle the situation, starting with the apology.
During what appeared to be a mental breakdown she yelled on a plane and caused it to be delayed. On the list of bad things that people do, this doesn’t really sit at the top of the list.
Seriously? It seemed extremely hollow and forced to me. Even with the cherry “pepuls being meanz to mez” on top at the end.
@ Mr. Marcus
A month and a half isn’t a long time?!?
It’s documented across several bloggers that she first tried to use her lawyers to scare journalists away from covering her. I guess it’s a coincidence that only after that failed and after her name became public knowledge did she promptly issue this “apology.”
She is kinda attractive, but I’m guessing no matter what the true story is/was, she’s incredibly high maintenance for whomever has to deal with her in love or otherwise…..
Why are you trying to deadname X? Please refer to it by the name it wishes to be addressed as.
What?
He is referring to the person that “doesn’t exist”.
EDIT: I was wrong, he was referring to you calling “x” by the name of twitter.
Did that blue bird switch genders?
Don’t get X’s pronouns wrong either. david k will try to get the blog shut down, get you fired, and put your momma in prison.
His momma called him Twitter… Imma call him Twitter.
Getting sick of seeing this broad.
If you’re sick of seeing her you you need to stay off the Internet. This is what online theater has become.
She’ll probably write a book, or if that’s not in, have her own TikTok channel. and make money,.
Clearly none of the bros in the comments have ever had a mental health issue before. This lady lost her shit very publicly and is dealing with it. What do you want her to say? Admit she thought she saw something supernatural? She had a breakdown. People have breakdowns. It’s apparently hilarious when it’s someone else. Hope it doesn’t happen to you.
If any of you out there have seen the dude explain the “Crazy/Hot” matrix on YouTube, this chick clearly a 10/10.
Date, never marry:)
She seems to have planned this rather well.
We’ll probably next see American Airlines offering her a job in their marketing department
The sequel I never knew I needed. But still no confirmation if the motherf’r is in fact not real.
PS – Matthew, the ads on your site today is absolute trash on iPhone. OneKey ad takes up 50% of the screen and crashes/reloads the site too much. I know you rely on ad+clickbait combo to make money, but bah gawd this is getting obnoxious.
Jan speaks the truth, Matt. I can’t read your articles on my iphone. Also, for some reason, the ads or something makes the screen very dark to the point that I can’t read the text that isn’t obscured by an ad. Your blog is the only one on BA that does this to my iphone. No problems on a desktop, though. Could be worth looking into.
So let’s see if I’ve got this sequence of events right:
The woman goes Extra Special Karen on her flight.
She uses her lawyers to try to hush things up.
Her name comes out anyway.
After manipulating the legal system to weasel out of repercussions, then she’s suddenly filled with heartfelt tearful remorse.
Use the mental health line and you get away with just about anything. Really a shame because at the end of this, the passenger subjected to the rant gets nothing and probably HAS mental health issues after going through the episode.
Meanwhile this chick (that mostly men are reducing to looks) uses her executive PR skills to spin the whole event and will likely make more money out of this event than she has in years!
So in summary, if you find yourself in trouble or need a new start, cite mental health or blame everyone else and it’s all good.
For all any of you know, this was staged to make a career comeback and you are supporting it by giving her free advertisement and click money.
For the record, I did not contribute to lining her wallet with money- only saw this mess because I tune in for travel events but instead read a reality show script /fake news.
What in the world …
Didn’t she sick her attorney on the person(s) who originally posted the breakdown.
Now, she is seeking absolution by apologizing on the same medium she tried to suppress.
It’s OK to have blow-ups, we all do!!
However, you don’t do it on a packed jet.
Sorry, but the damage is done!!
If she was fat and unattractive, this would not have worked.
MENTAL HEALTH BACKGROUND CHECK (AND PHYSICAL), should be part of the process when you purchase your ticket.
