Hopefully you have all registered your American Express cards for Small Business Saturday today, an annual event on the Saturday after Thanksgiving in which American Express offers a cash-back incentive in order to boost small business.
This year’s offer is a bit different than in the past — rather than giving up to a $25 credit for a single-transaction as it did in 2012 or just $10 total last year, AMEX is offering a $10 statement credit for each qualifying transaction, up to three times per card, meaning a total of $30 in “free spending” as long as it is spread out over three businesses or if at the same business, charged in $10 increments.
If you have not registered already it is too late, but do check if your card is already registered — my best friend found that both of his AMEX cards were somehow pre-registered: when he tried to register online he found that he was already signed up.
