United Airlines Post Fuels Buzz About Possible In-N-Out Burger Partnership

Over the weekend, United Airlines posted a picture on Instagram, leaving me and many others wondering (hoping, I suppose) that a partnership with In-N-Out could really transform the airline burger wars.

A United Airlines Partnership With In-N-Out Burger Would Be Delicious….

United re-posted an image of an Airbus A320 flying over the iconic In-N-Out LAX on Sepulveda Boulevard, just a short walk from the airport. There’s a park across the street from the airport and I’ve spent many hours there watching planes fly overhead.

Is that just a nice picture of a classic car and a United jet…or could it be a subtle hint of a new partnership?

Recall that I speculated whether United would launch a partnership with McDonald’s earlier this year after some collaboration and even a special flight to “McDonaldland.” For better or for worse, that never happened.

While I think a McDonald’s relationship still makes the most sense (first, because there is a historic link between United and McDonald’s and second, because McDonald’s is another Chicago-based publicly traded company), I think all of us who love In-N-Out would love to see its burgers onboard United Airlines and this post has fueled no shortage of chatter.

And Delta’s partnership with ShakeShake at least puts such a partnership within the realm of possibility (and those burgers onboard are delicious…).

I know this is probably just wishful thinking, but hey United catering…folks would love to have In-N-Out onboard and it would certainly save me a trip after my flights to LAX! 😉

Would you eat an In-N-Out burger if available on United Airlines?

Yep he’s the true zealot, won’t eat a burger because of who owns it but would go down on Omar’s Brillo pad in a minute because she wants America destroyed.

Trump totally ruined these people that were used to cucks like the Bush family letting liberals walk all over them.

If I’m flying bus. class on UA, I’m not interested in fr. fries & a burger, thats not what bus. class
is about; rather have appetizer, soup. salad, fish fillet, potato, veg.s, then, cheese plate & finally,
ice cream or cheesecake. They just need to think what might Sing. Air provide !

Agreed 100%. Its a horrible burger, and its owned by people who hate many of the customer base UA is going after. Not to mention, they have NO facilities on the east coast at all, so the only place they could cater it out of naturally would be the west coast.

Aren’t all the companies in America going after 50% of their people who “hate them”?

Not a day goes by that you don’t buy something from a company that feels you are human garbage, it works both ways.

I think this would be fantastic for United but a HUGE risk for In n’ Out. If they can’t deliver a decent version on board it could quash the brand, especially given it is not nationwide and half the population never had one of their burgers so might be rooted in thinking that this was the normal product (not that it’s the end all be all). Further, a great deal of what differentiates In n Out is that the lettuce and tomatoes, as well the bread, seem fresh in comparison to other burger chains. Can they do the same in conjunction with LSG? Delta at least uses Do&Co that I believe has a better quality control approach and probably worked hand in hand with Shake Shack to replicate it as close as possible. I don’t see LSG doing the same.

      November 24, 2025 at 6:02 pm

Delta doesn’t exclusively use Do&Co and United doesn’t exclusively use LSG. It’s airport dependent, I know with UA ORD and SFO use LSG, IAH uses New Rest, DEN Gate Gourmet, and a smattering of other companies at outstations with catering. DL also uses LSG domestically and internationally. Catering budget is up to the airline and the catering companies execute it

@ Matthew — If the partnership were for earning UA miles at In ‘n Out Burger, that would be great. Serving their food on board would be a disaster. I cannot imagine that they would want to taint their brand by serving their food reheated in a galley oven, since it is sure to be vastly inferior to the real thing.

      November 24, 2025 at 6:32 pm

Exactly, it would be a pure money grab and an embarrassment to their brand. But must of the cucks that tried it on UA never stopped there anyways. It’s way beneath them.

It would be like Aaron eating a cob of corn from the end.

To deliver quality burgers the aircraft would have to be equipped with steam ovens.

But god… now I’m nervous AA is going to try Whataburger and that’s just not a plane burger…

Now we need Timm Dunn to comment on how the Delta’s Shake Shack partnerhsip is more elite and hiugh quality. He’ll say in-n-out is lower tier and that nobody can compete with DL haha.

You Worst Coasters have such an undeserved elevated opinion of In-N-Out. I’ve found that their burgers are highly overrated and their fries are almost as inedible as Five Guys. It’s a shame that United might be making a deal with them. The only correct answer to burgers on planes is Culver’s, made on the ground and brought on board the plane by you. Chicago is free of In-N-Out, Shake Shack, and Whataburger and nearly free of Five Goys, with only six in the city. Tragically, one of them is near The University of Chicago’s campus.

      November 24, 2025 at 9:25 pm

Do you even live in Chicago?
Shake Shack is all over the city — to include a location in United’s HQ and in prime Wrigleyville real estate

I don’t get the hype around Shake Shack but it is all over Chicago — around 14 locations.

And if you truly believe that about Culvers it betrays where you’re actually from — not Chicago, but Schaumburg, at best, but more likely Rockford or Wisconsin.

Born on the Southwest Side. Graduated from The University of Chicago. Lived all over the place, including in Rockford for a year and “Wisconsin” for a year (okay, Kenosha, so hence the quotes). And as your guess regarding Schamburg goes, I live now in Bloomingdale, so that’s close enough. The point here is that Shake Shack sucks, downtown sucks, and Wrigleyville sucks (Sox fan by birth).

And why go after me? I’m on your side when it comes to Timbits.

It’s unfortunate that as a country we have come to the point where we boycott companies / products that don’t align with our values.

I love In-N-Out, and Chick-fil-A because of their food and their Christian values that I hold dear.

At the same time, I regularly enjoy coffee at a Cuban place in Orange Country that has pro-LGBTQ values and flags – the folks who work there are wonderfully courteous, the service is excellent, and the coffee is amazing. While I don’t agree with their values, I go there to enjoy an excellent Cortado and pastry!

Exactly but too difficult for the liberal cucks here.

They want to punish anyone who thinks it’s not normal to cut your junk off and say you are a “woman”. Call me crazy but F’ing kids isn’t that far away based on the “progress” they keep thinking they are making.

Just look at the stuff Aaron promotes here, with Matt’s blessing. Granted while he’s halfway around the world while his wife is home with the kids “enjoying” the freedom he gave her by getting her out of Germany.

Aircraft galley ovens generally are steam ovens, or combi convection-steam ovens.

Given how In-N-Out has such a tight reign on their image/product and eschews franchising their locations, I can not see them signing up for a partnership with an airline, let alone UA. They don’t freeze any of their ingredients, so a flash frozen burger that is reheated is just not going to work.

But if UA wants to come up with some tie-up with a LA bakery like La Brea or Porto’s to replace the terrible bread/rolls they serve in domestic F, I’m all for it.
