I smell the likes of another Bud Lite and Target Stores disaster in the making.
Don’t marketing teams learn to read the room, the temperature is too hot right now. These should not be incendiary topics, but right now they are and starting.ore fired is a seriously bad idea both from a social perspective and from a business one.
…starting a fire is a seriously bad idea…
Replied to my own comment because I am unable to edit my comment to correct a type.
Maybe we all need to just say fcuk the homophobes and stop acting like being queer is a bad thing?
How about we all just mind our own collective business and let gay people just live their lives like the rest of us? And that means not being a cheerleader for anyone’s sexual preference. Nor promotions like these, which are an obvious form of virtue signaling.
If you’re gay, that’s cool. And if I’m not, that’s cool too. Neither of us deserves a damn month dedicated to who we prefer to get with.
@AngryFlier: wow!!! I applaud you for the best post ever. You nailed it. If one wants to be gay, lesbian, freak, etc… I am so happy for them. Just stop promoting it. These people want to be respected? Stop begging for attention. Be yourself and nobody will care about it. Start promoting and forcing it, people will react.
If we were allowed to live our own lives then we wouldn’t need Pride months and events.
“Be yourself and nobody will care about it.”
What a crock of BS.
It is a bad thing.
60% of sex abusers are LGBT.
And the other 40% are republicans
Not true at all.
But 100% of people posting under the name Koggerj are homophbic a-holes.
When UA got involved in the gun debate years ago, I took out a 5 year membership with NRA. I don’t own a single gun. I’m just tired of corporate activitism. If you want to pick sides, you’re going to piss off a lot of your customers.
And the effect the silly right wing “boycott” of United had: None. At. All.
The left owns so much real estate in your brain that you make a point by sending the NRA money. You’re pretty easily manipulated.
The lefts entire culture is emotion based and grievance politics.
A majority of people are disgusted by transgenders. They see them for what they are mentally ill sex pests.
Every boycott because of the trans enablers has been successful. Billions lost because of it.
You people are a minority.
“The lefts entire culture is emotion based and grievance politics.”
Nah. it’s about making things better for all people and not going after marginalized groups.
“A majority of people are disgusted by transgenders. They see them for what they are mentally ill sex pests.”
Not true and not true.
“Every boycott because of the trans enablers has been successful. Billions lost because of it.”
Billions lost? Where are you getting this from?
“You people are a minority.”
Nah, hate filled bigots like you are. You guys just scream and whine louder than others.
Now, this has to be the best deal of the year.
@Aaron, you DON’T need pride month. If you’re sensing negativity, it’s because the LGBTQWXYZ+& activists have gone so far as to generate resentment. Stop whining.
Given the rise in anti-queer legislation and people like you still getting triggered by pride and pride events, I’d say you are incorrect.
good we need more of it.
You people are defective.
You’re a mouth breathing cuck who probably didn’t finish high school and has never left the country…wanker
@Santastico: It’s just common sense, isn’t it? Most people, including myself, have come a long way as far as tolerance, acceptance and respect are concerned.
No I will not.
Target has done pride section every year and it’s never been a problem
Trump used to sell pride gear
Why is it a problem? An organized crusade by angry Republicans. This was bottled up rage that was looking for a target, and they found it.
Corporations should keep doing what they are doing. Republican crybabies can only boycott so much before they no longer have any options.
On the other hand I will be happy to never see a republican in a target again… they can all stay in their bunkers as far as I am concerned… less likely to be killed in a mass shooting that way
Pride has been going on for decades. By their reasoning, let’s just stop celebrating 4th of July and MLK Day too. We’ve certainly come a long way in reducing British control over America and improving race relations. Don’t see why “these people” have to rub it in our faces every year.
Don’t worry, once they get done with pride, they’ll be boycotting businesses that celebrate black history
I think the difference this year is now certain folks are not merely ignoring the pride section, but they are actively damaging it, attacking Target employees (iirc).
Target, may want to do the right thing and continue having a Pride section, but if there is threat of damage to their property or their employees, I do think the smarter thing is to either relocate the section or remove it all together.
I am really unsure what the difference is this year or maybe more accurately the last few years, it is not like all this is 100% new for 2023, I think that LGBTQ folks are an easier target than other groups and certain politicians are playing into that, rather than saying hey, we may not agree with their choice of lifestyle, but they are citizens too and entitled to the same rights as everyone else, they are quietly embracing the anger towards the group and even passing legislation to regulate the group.
It is just odd.
It’s because this year, the clothing and trans stuff was on children’s wear. That’s why people were getting upset.
I don’t buy it. People went ballistic over bud light and thats not a kids product
Probably because it was targeted towards kids.
Why do the alphabet people feel such a strong desire to promote their lifestyle to children? Why do little boys needs “tuck pouches” for their swimwear?
The tuck pouch suits weren’t marketed to children. Do you have the same issue with Hooters clothes for kids? They do sell them.
Good morning!
Is a perfect post for limited minds like Koggerj and Santastico to express their “ideas”.
Nothing like starting the day with a dose of Nazism and prejudice..
@Ricardo: I have several gay and lesbian friends. They are great. None of them wear pride shirts, use stupid pronouns or beg for attention. The ones begging for attention are the ones that cause the issues. Limited minded are the ones that need attention.
Of course you. You always have a friend to excuse your bigotry.
Do your gay “friends” know that you think they are great only because they are quiet about their sexuality?
Maybe they are silent about their sexuality because they don’t want to trigger their homophobic snowflake of a “friend”?
@Aaron: you are a moron. My next door neighbors are gay men. Married. One white, one black. A successful software engineer and a top FA for Delta. They are the nicest people in the world. But they never begged for attention. No rainbow flags in front of their house, no BS. When they moved in many year ago they came to introduce themselves as married couple and we welcomed them to the neighborhood. We have an open yard so we grill and make pizzas together, dogs play around, etc… So, that’s how I am. Now, if you need attention, too bad.
@Santastico
And you are a lying sack of sh*t.
@Aaron: keep begging for attention. LOL
Whatever you say, snowflake LOL
@Billy Bob: I don’t have freaks and people that needs attention as friends. I have friends that work hard and live their lives as anyone should. If they are gays, lesbians, black, green, etc… I don’t care. I am Latino and I don’t promote that or beg for attention. I have dark skin and I don’t ask for any preferences. I don’t have issues with sexuality, color or religion as long as people don’t use those to ask for attention or preference. Anyone that uses their color, sexual orientation, religion to play victim are the losers.
You are a racist religious radical, a fan of Trump and Bolsonaro, and now you want to add the racial letter just because you are Brazilian like me.
Of course, in your limited mind you are normal, because you have gay neighbors and you don’t burn their house down.
You always bring up how you have dark skin and you don’t need any special treatment, and how you are so accepted by your community, and so forth.
Did it ever dawn on you that you are benefitting from living in a blue state and everything that goes along with it? Do you think you would be as accepted if you lived in a red state? With the possible exception of Texas and florida, you would be an outcast because of your skin color. You wouldn’t be having cookouts with your white neighbors. You’d be told to stick with your own kind (source: I lived in Tennessee for 2 years)
I really think you would have a much different perception of victimhood if you had put down roots somewhere else in this country
@Ricardo: did you cross the river from Mexico into the US? I knew it. Didn’t know there were freak Brazilians here. Welcome!!!
@Billy Bob: this was a red state when I moved in. It became a sewage after it turned blue.
I don’t know the ins and outs of Minnesota but a quick Wikipedia search shows MN hasn’t voted for a republican president since 1972, so I don’t know how red it was.
But why don’t you put your money where your mouth is if it’s such a sewer and move to your neighbor South Dakota. I’m sure they will welcome you with open arms
@Ricardo
So he’s normal then. Got it.
Bolsonaro got a majority of the vote from the educated and those with wealth. Lula is a convicted criminal and Marxist of course the trash of Brazil would support him. You seem to be part of that trash.
Looks like brazil needs another operation condor.
Spending real money for an imaginary cause to earn imaginary, consistently devaluing currency sure sounds like a bad financial play.
I never understood the “pride” thing. Proud of what? Your sexual preference? How is that any kind of achievement justifying a source of pride (itself a sin in many contexts)?
It comes off a lot more like they want preferential treatment and for the rest of the normies to bend a knee. Eff that. You do you and leave the rest of us alone.
For ignorant people like you as to why Prides matter:
1. People are still attacked because of their real or perceived sexual orientation and gender identity
2. Prides are an opportunity to challenge homophobic and transphobic legislation
3. Rights can never be taken for granted
4. Prides contribute to changing hearts and minds
5. Prides are empowering
https://www.amnesty.org/en/latest/campaigns/2015/10/5-reasons-why-prides-matter/
Aaron you’re fighting a battle against idiots and homophobes. People who (in some cases by their own admission) literally do not understand or recognize reality and instead live in their own privilege bubble. You can’t reason with ignorance or hatred.
Mr Marcus – well said.
People who whine about “privilege” suffer from success envy.
You people love playing the victim.
“transphobic” isn’t a real thing since there is no such as transgender. These are autogynophiles that are mentally ill and want to project that on young children. We need legislation to stop them and their child abuse.
That’s a good question Lars.
You must be under 20, or live in a country that accepts and treats gay people with equality.
In the US, homosexuality was actually illegal in many states until about 20 years ago (marrying your cousin and even your sibling is strangely acceptable in parts of the US whereas marrying an unrelated person of the same gender is not) . Additionally, people who were openly gay were not permitted to have certain types of jobs and subject to other forms of officially-sanctioned, government-led discrimination. Additionally within our society, violence and other forms of maltreatment were commonplace for openly gay people. Thus for an incredibly long period of time, many gay people could not openly be “proud” of who they were, and thus were secretly gay, or “closeted”.
While a good deal of progress has been made in this regard, in the US there is still discrimination against gays in our society, and there are still those who feel unable to be proud of their sexuality. Thus the pride movement still exists in the US, and there is more work to be done towards equality and acceptance for all people.
If you don’t like the pride movement in the US, and would like to work against it, your best bet is to try convince others in the US to accept LGBTQ individuals as equals. Once you accomplish this, you’ll probably see the Pride movement fizzle out.
Its just agenda. Marketing tactic. People are stupid. Be shatever you want to be. But those companies started promoting nto because they care. But because it’s good marketing!!!
It’s just an excuse to get drunk or stoned, hook up, and act like the biggest moron you can be without judgement. The only lasting legacy of any pride event is the number of new HIV infections.
Chi hsaun wants all LGBT to die
Wish they had done something similar on Memorial Day for charities caring for veterans, especially those disabled in the line of duty.
That is a fair point.
I would bet my life that united does things for veterans… maybe just not this specific thing. I don’t think there is a valid complaint here
Can’t wager something that is worth nothing.
Chi Shaun though Hitler was a great man
vets get 2 days. Sodomites get 1 months and then all the other stupid days for their made up letters.
Good thing odious people like you get 0 days.
Another day, another Disney employee arrested for child porn.
And NO, not every homo likes to diddle kids and NO not every Disney employee enjoys showing porn to kids. But if you are a gambler and you see a kid toucher, odds are he’s a bone smuggler and would enjoy working at Disney.
Just simple math.

A bit like saying all white people are in the KKK just because a few are, no?
just democrats, the party of the kkk.
They love alphabet people.
Also like saying, not all Republicans are racist…but if you are a racist, you most certainly are a Republican (and you can look in that mirror every day to find one)
So because United Miles are getting less and less valuable all the time, this would be donating money to a dumb cause to get miles that will get you nowhere.
Maybe they will send you back in time to 1930s Germany where you would fit in. Etter
There nothing to be proud of being a member of the alphabet group.
Islam has the right idea and I can’t wait till the world is muslim.
Yea it’s way better to be a 50 year old Virgin like you
There you go projecting again.
For many years I fought for reproductive rights. Last November, these were snatched away. This is a slippery slope. And while I support the LGBTQ community, please understand I got you, but the questioning I have is anyone guaranteed any rights anymore? Personally I am exhausted.
So abortion is illegal in the US?
There is no “right” to kill a baby.
Live and let’s fly comments ALWAYS comes through with the best hate speech in the boarding area union.
Matthew Jonathan Kilimt—you’re my hero.
Ever since Gary cleaned up his comment section, this is where all the racists / white nationalists / bigots / misinformation spreaders come to spew their filth…also, shockingly, most of them never comment on actual *travel*-related, believe it or not…
as an adult gay man I would like to say that there is no such alphabet community and you should NEVER donate money to anything related to this alphabet soup aberration. ESG = communism. these companies and this cartel need to be ELIMINATED.
Pride is one of the Seven Deadly Sins. Just sayin’
