Easy: 500 Free World Of Hyatt Points For “Meditating”

Today only, you can earn 500 free World of Hyatt points for meditating…or better yet, playing a short meditation soundtrack and leaving the room.

500 Free Hyatt Points For Five Minutes Of Your Time

Today is Hyatt’s self-proclaimed Global Day of Gratitude (which is not to be confused with World Gratitude Day, celebrated annually on September 21st). As Hyatt describes it:

“Prioritizing wellbeing and self-care is exceptionally important, especially in the face of an ongoing pandemic. One small action we can each take to enhance our wellbeing is to express gratitude—for ourselves, our loved ones, and those in our communities.”

That is sentiment I can echo.

But Hyatt is also offering 500 free World of Hyatt points for completing a guided meditation with Headspace. According to Hyatt, “Simply open the World of Hyatt app and complete one of our custom Headspace exercises —Unwind, Reflect or Sleep — and enjoy 500 Bonus Points.”

I am a man of prayer, but found the “Unwind” mediation utter bollocks (one of my favorite British words)…I’d recommend you press “play” then leave the room. While there is nothing inherently wrong with this sort of meditation, why not spend five minutes reading something for enjoyment or getting some fresh air outside? I am also not sure how these guided meditations promote gratitude…

Anyway, I did complete my “Unwind” meditation this morning and nothing has posted yet…we will see. The fine print notes we may have to wait up to four weeks:

Please allow up to four weeks after your completed Headspace meditation for 500 Bonus Points to be posted to your World of Hyatt account.

Do complete the mediation before 11:59 p.m. central time tonight, December 9th, if you want to receive the bonus points.

CONLCUSION

I find these sorts of meditations of little value, but I do think 500 World of Hyatt points is worth $10. Happy meditation…

Do take meditation seriously. If trump had been mediating he wouldn’t be such a loser.

Can’t even log into the app. Same credentials are working online.

On a separate note you should IP-ban clowns Matthew – I read your blog less and less every time they post drivel in the comments.

I read the blog, at least partly, for debit’s comments, so there’s that!

Also, not sure why such a harsh reaction. Not clear you understand meditation. Meditation is the restraint of mental activity, no more, no less. The specific practice in the Unwind session seems to be about increasing awareness in the moment, which is the first step in any meditation practice. Meditation is core to the Hindu tradition, and really to all religious traditions, at least to the mystical branches of those religions.
