The new A-West United Club in Denver is now open. United sent over a few new pictures, which I wanted to share with you.
The lounge is open daily from 5:00 am to 9:30 pm.
My original story appears below.
United Airlines has opened a new United Club lounge today in Denver it is calling A-West. This was the lounge that I did a hard hat tour of in May.
A-West United Club Lounge Now Open In Denver (DEN)
United has provided Live And Let’s Fly with key details about the new lounge:
- Colorado-inspired design: Influenced by the great Colorado outdoors, travelers can experience a sense of place among locally-sourced furniture and décor that reflects Colorado’s outdoor landscapes and experiences. Details such as natural materials, neutral colors and a chopped wood block wall make the space feel organic and raw while simultaneously being warm and cozy – similar to a Colorado retreat.
- Custom, locally-driven artwork: The space features hand-crafted, custom artwork from local artists, including a sculptural installation from Colorado-based artist Amy Hoagland that uses glass rods to form a topographic-inspired piece and create an optical illusion from different vantage points. A custom ‘Come Fly With Us’ mural by Denver-based multidisciplinary designer Adam Vicarel is prominently displayed in the club’s game lounge, and it showcases a combination of colors and shapes that exemplify travel and the Colorado landscape. Additional local artwork includes a glass sculpture, mixed media collages, photographs and paintings inspired by Colorado nature.
- Abundant space and enhanced amenities: Visitors have plenty of room to relax, work, dine and socialize with more than 400 seats across two levels of club space. Notable amenities include free high-speed Wi-Fi, self-scan entry gates, a game lounge with a shuffleboard table and a Wellness Room.
- Premium refreshments with local flair: Visitors can enjoy complimentary beverages and snacks, including local touches like oatmeal paired with Colorado honey, egg frittata inspired by the Denver omelet (ham, bell peppers, red onion, spinach and cheddar cheese), Colorado Club sandwiches and pork green chili.
Here are a few renderings:
I have requested additional images and will update this post with pictures (versus the renderings above) when they become available.
Furthermore, I will visit the lounge in-person very soon and report back on my experience.
CONCLUSION
It is great to see this lounge open, as the current B-West lounge is bursting at the seams. The renovated B-East lounge will open soon, then the B-West lounge will close for refurbishment until 2024.
A Polaris Lounge is planned, but no opening date has been announced. Denver also features a “Club Fly” grab-and-go lounge with barista coffee service.
Does Denver have enough passengers for a Polaris lounge? Or will it be on the small side?
I suspect it will be smaller – perhaps even smaller than IAH.
Will this be accessible for one time pass holders?
Ostensibly yes, but we will have to wait and see how bad crowding is, which may limit one time pass access.
It looks like the lobby of a SpringHill Suites; very generic looking but thats just me
Here now, it is amazing. UT is around gate 25-27. Tons of food swlextion, huge bar with good selection of wine, beer, and liquor. Tremendous volume of seating with outlets everywhere.
Confirmed they ARE accepting one time passes.
Looks like someone got bourbon and wasn’t informed it cost money, $16 for a drink.
That’s great to hear about the passes, not great about the bourbon…we are traveling in two weeks, hopefully they haven’t banned the one-time passes by then…
Looks great and I can’t wait to visit… truly a quantum leap forward for United Clubs at DEN. But all I can see is unsupervised 9 year olds rampaging through the “game room”, launching pucks in all diretions, and utterly destroying the shuffleboard table in a matter of weeks. The foosball table in EWR only lasted a few months.
Hopefully they don’t butcher the bathroom situation like EWR A…but at least they put in an escalator here
Looks generic. Lacks the depth and richness of the new Sky Club or Admirals Club lounge. Disappointing.
