First Impression: Air Serbia BEG-JFK Business Class

Matthew Klint Posted onJune 22, 2017November 14, 2023 2 Comments

As promised, I flew Air Serbia this week from Belgrade to New York in business class. Would Air Serbia live up to its high expectations?

Yes! I had a wonderful flight. While the flight was not flawless, the onboard experience was excellent.

First, a shoutout to the tremendous crew on my flight. From the moment I stepped onboard to the moment I stepped off, the crew was simply lovely. Every interaction was professional, kind, and genuine. Stunning uniforms too.

Second, the herringbone seat is not ideal for couples traveling together but perfectly fine for solo travelers. I opted not to leave the airport during my long layover and spent 14 hours working in the lounge. That left me very tried during the flight, helping me to sleep comfortably for seven hours.

Air Serbia also has excellent pajamas for business class customers: they were soft and attractively simple in design.

Third, the onboard dining was exceptional. My flight left Belgrade is at 7:50a and I enjoyed a delicious Serbian breakfast of Pita Zeljanica (Serbian spinach pie) after takeoff (with my trifecta of fresh squeezed orange juice, berry smoothie, and cappuccino). Standard breakfast items like frittatas or omelets were on the menu, but I was glad to try something different.

Prior to landing I also enjoyed a Serbian vegetarian lunch.

CONCLUSION

I will try to roll out the trip report as soon as possible, but note now that I wholeheartedly endorse Air Serbia on its flagship Belgrade to New York route.

It is herringbone not reverse herringbone as you note for solo travellers.

That was just an honest typo. Thanks.
