American Airlines will add 18 new routes next summer, including increasing international service from Dallas.
Dallas remains a very profitable hub for American and the carrier will double service to both Paris and Madrid. From DFW, both new flights will depart late in the evening, providing for a full day on the ground or afternoon connection before the flight to Europe. Both new flights will be operated by a Boeing 787-9. The new Madrid route will be operated in concert with joint-venture partner Iberia. Meanwhile, the second daily Paris flights comes in the wake of Air France’s return to Dallas.

On the domestic and Canadian side, AA will add service to the following cities:
- Asheville, North Carolina (AVL)
- Columbia, South Carolina (CAE)
- Daytona Beach, Florida (DAB)
- Durango, Colorado (DRO)
- Halifax, Nova Scotia (YHZ)
- Harrisburg, Pennsylvania (MDT)
- Jackson, Wyoming (JAC)
- Kalispell, Montana (FCA)
- Manchester, New Hampshire (MHT)
- Melbourne, Florida (MLB)
- Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (MYR)
- Raleigh, North Carolina (RDU)
- San Luis Obispo, California (SBP)
- Santa Rosa, California (STS)

CONCLUSION
Some of the new route additions are surprising, particularly the additions from New York LGA. Some, like flying from Phoenix to Raleigh, are not. But American’s move signals a willingness to grow in 2019.

Wish they would add at least one non-stop EWR-LAX flight. AA used to have one several years ago, I think it was around 6PM, #119 ? Flew it many times & served me well. Need to give UA some competition on that route & I’m tired of having to connect through Charlotte.
I guess JAC got the exception to Laguardia’s distance restriction that Denver has. Very interested in that route depending on price/scheduling.
Nope – allowed on Saturdays only IIRC. There are some random weekend routes like LGA-AUA or other places deeper Caribbean I think.
