Angels’ wings clipped at La Guardia

October 19, 2009

The Angels just can’t win in New York.

An hour after their crushing extra-inning loss to the Yankees yesterday, the Los Angeles team was defeated once more — at La Guardia Airport.

A 2:17 a.m. truck fire on the tarmac delayed the Angels’ charter flight to LA, allowing the Yankees — who had arrived at La Guardia after the Halos — to depart first.

Nothing like adding salt to the wound.
