The now-defunct Barclays US Airways Mastercard extended their deadline to use companion passes issued with the card. This card is no longer and the offer to extend has expired.

US Airways Companion Passes
Many of you likely have the former Barclays US Airways MasterCard, now the Barclays Aviator card. One of my favorite features of the card is two $99 companion passes (with blackout dates of course) that expire on September 30th, 2015.
This is particularly helpful to my family because my 18-month-old daughter is just shy of American Airlines gold status this year (she has 30k EQPs but only three segments so she doesn’t actually hold the status yet) and even the companion seats earn status and miles.
After calling in to book the tickets tonight (they can only be done over the phone) I was informed that the deadline of tomorrow night had been extended until October 5th. This was confirmed on their Twitter page as well to a relived Trip Sherpa and apparently also Adam DiBiase.
Let’s just hope that those hot seats to middle America aren’t all gone by the time I get through to their call center tomorrow morning.
Do you know if changes can be made to tickets booked using the companion certificate. Tried calling yesterday but the wait time was an hour
Thanks
@Robert – Thanks for your comment. These should ticket as normal tickets so any changes would be subject to change fees. The best part of these tickets are that because they are issued as revenue tickets you still earn status, miles and points on them but sadly changes would be expensive.
