If you hold a Bilt Mastercard, you can earn even more points, particularly on travel and dining…but only on the first day of each month, what Bilt calls “Rent Day.”

Bilt Rent Day – Up To 6X Points On First Day Of Each Month

I’ve written about the Bilt Mastercard before and still love that it’s like I have a Chase Sapphire Preferred without an annual fee. This is a solid card whether you rent or not.

But the card is becoming even more valuable with the addition of special spend bonuses on Rent Day, the first day of each month. Those include:

  • Dining – 6x points per USD (regularly 3x points)
  • Travel – 4x points (regularly 2x points)
  • All other spend (excluding rent) – 2x points (regularly 1x points)

It’s not always possible to time travel bookings to the first of the month, but earning four points per dollar on a no-fee credit card with valuable transfer partners is such a cool value-add. These extra points are capped at 1,000 (it used to be 10,000) and you need five times during each statement period to get those points.

As a reminder, anyone can apply for the Bilt Mastercard to pay rent directly and earn Bilt points for other transactions. You don’t have to rent to apply.

Airline and hotel transfer partners include:

  • Aer Lingus AerClub
  • Air Canada Aeroplan
  • Air France/KLM FlyingBlue
  • Alaska Airlines
  • British Airways Club
  • Cathay Pacific Asia Miles
  • Emirates Skywards
  • Hawaiian Airlines HawaiianMiles
  • Iberia Plus
  • IHG Rewards
  • Turkish Airlines Miles & Smiles
  • United Airlines MileagePlus
  • Virgin Atlantic Flying Club
  • World of Hyatt

Where else can you transfer to both Alaska Airlines and United Airlines (not to mention the other great pool of partners) at attractive rates and near instantaneously (unlike Marriott Bonvoy)?

But wait, there’s more!

Hilton Honors Transfer Bonus

Today (March 1, 2025) only, Bilt is offering a transfer bonus of 150-200% if you transfer Bilt points to the Hilton Honors program. Your bonus depends on your Bilt elite status:

  • Bilt Blue members – 150% bonus
  • Bilt Silver members – 200% bonus
  • Bilt Gold members can – 200% bonus
  • Bilt Platinum members – 200% bonus

Bilt Rent Day Hilton Transfer Bonus

I don’t recommend this…your Bilt points transfer to Hilton at 1:1 rate and even with the bonus, you are better off conserving those Bilt points for other programs like Alaska or Hyatt. But if you do need to top off your account and don’t want to spend money purchasing Hilton points outright, today would be the day to initiate the transfer.

Soulcycle X, Ride Together Classes

Bilt Rewards is partnering with SoulCycle to host one “Rent Day, Ride Together” class on the first of every month at over 50 SoulCycle locations nationwide, allowing members to book a class and receive a complimentary bike for a friend. Members can reserve the special-themed class via Soul-Cycle.com, SoulCycle app or directly through the Bilt Rewards app.

CONCLUSION

The value proposition of Bilt and the Bilt MasterCard continues to grow. If you can redirect spending to Rent Day (the first day of each month), you stand to gain even more points.

I wonder if I could pay my daughter $5,000 a month to rent a room in her condo and then she just transfers the money back to me?

You’d max out the 50k per year points on rent and still need to use the card 5x a month to earn points.

@ Matthew — This is NOT a “solid card” if you do not rent.

I just don’t think the business model is sustainable long term. I suspect devaluations or lose of transfer partners in the future.

Whenever I see people hawking Bilt, I can’t help but think about the trip to the Caribbean everyone went on when they rolled the card out. Up to 1K points on rent day isn’t really incentive enough for me to waste a 5/24 pull. I get it for someone who is absolutely opposed to paying an AF, but for a non-renter who already has every travel card, I just don’t get Bilt.

There are so many great travel cards out there, and it would be a shame if someone eschewed getting the VentureX, CSR, or even Amex Plat because they thought the Bilt card was “good enough.”

I do like the Alaska Airlines transfers, though.

      “as a non-renter,” you’re not the market

Also foolish to compare the VX/Plat to Bilt when neither of those offer 3x dining. The better comp is the CSP, which carries a fee that Bilt doesn’t.

This “bonus” stinks. It’s a one time 1:2 transfer to hilton. Amex’s standard transfer to hilton is 1:2. Even with the bonus, it’s a better value to transfer to Hyatt
