I Love the New British Airways’ Safety Video!

British Airways Hilarious Safety Video

I suppose I’m just signing to the choir at this point, but I cannot help but to personally highlight British Airway’s hilarious new safety video. I find it utterly hilarious.

It’s long, but I broke out laughing during several points. Nowhere more so, however, than the Rowan Atkinson ending reprising his role as Mr. Bean. Here’s the full video–

I’m not sure the hardly bleeped Gordon Ramsay cursing part is necessary, but you know a safety video is well done when six minutes flies by and it feels like one. And of course the f-bomb seems to be one of Chef Ramsay’s favorite words…

My wife and I have a very different sense of humor (though of course there is overlap). I’ve loved “British humor” since watching Mr. Bean as a child. I even watched Keeping Up Appearances. And of course one of my favorite series of all time is Little Britain.

Too bad David Walliams and Matt Lucas (the stars of Little Britain) did not make a cameo in the video as Lou Todd and Andy Pipkin…

Let’s not forget the purpose of this video: BA’s Flying Start initiative. British Airways and Comic Relief have teamed up in an attempt to raise £20 million (~$26MN USD) by 2020 for children’s aid.

The video will appear on flights starting on September 01, 2017. Until then, you’ll have to enjoy this classic:

And don’t miss the “behind the scenes” video for the new safety video:

ps. And Sir Ian McKellen…wow, world’s best voice!

Seems like this will have a limited run since it’s tied to Comic Relief. Others have mentioned that this must have cost a fortune, but I would hope the celebrities donated their time to benefit the charity.

Oh, and I think it’s hilarious that they’re all in coach seats, where I’m sure they haven’t had to suffer through for years and years…. 😉

David Williams and Matt Lucas had a show called Come Fly with Me where they made fun of BA pretty regularly… Maybe that’s why they weren’t invited?
