If you are party to the British Airways class action lawsuit, don’t forget you only have until July 29th to file your clam. Here’s how to do it.
If you are a member of the class action, you should have received an e-mail entitled Dover v. British Airways Fuel Surcharge Class Action Notice. My e-mail went to spam, so please check there if you are expecting one. It will contain a unique class member identifier which you can use to submit your cash claim.
Step one: fill out the claimant information section. Note your unique ID will display at the top.
Step two: if you are an executive club member, check of all the boxes in section one. This is your affidavit that that you are a genuine member of the class and that you actually paid fuel surcharges for award tickets between late November 2006 and April 2013. 16.9% of fuel surcharges paid over that period totaled $221.88.
Step three: if you are an active Executive Club member, section two will be grayed out. This section if for former Executive Club members.
Step four: a declaration that that essentially signs your rights away to a further lawsuit against BA on the same matter.
Once you hit submit, you’ll receive a final confirmation with a unique reference code. As you can see, this is a very straightforward process.
If you have changed email addresses or feel you should be included in this and received no email, you can e-mail info@fuelsurchargeclassaction.com or call 1 (833) 261-2496.
If you forget to do this before 7/29/18, you will receive Avios automatically rather than cash.
