Woman Confronted On JetBlue For Stealing Seatmate’s Charging Cable, Then Acts Like She Was Just “Borrowing” It

A woman appears to have been caught red-handed stealing a charging cable onboard a JetBlue flight. When confronted, however, she claimed she was just borrowing it. It’s poor form to touch what does not belong to you.

Woman Swipes Seatmate’s Charging Cable On JetBlue Flight, Later Claims She Was Just Borrowing It

I want to say at the start this is a TikTok video meaning we must take it with a grain of salt…it would not come as a huge surprise if this was staged and the blonde “thief” and the victim even practiced beforehand to make it seem so believable (it is believable). The “thief” appears to be Vanessa Clover and has made all her social media accounts private (with a large following), which borrows a page from the “crazy plane lady” playbook.

The incident takes place on a JetBlue flight. The video begins when a blonde woman boards the flight and is confronted by a man who asks her if she took his charging cable. He seems angry. She says yes and he begins to lecture her for doing so and demands it back. She claims she was just “borrowing” it and will give it back. He insists she return it immediately and she does.

How did this all happen in the first place? From the context, it appears the JetBlue flight had to deboard but passengers were told to leave their items onboard…that does seem strange as I’ve never been in a situation where I left an aircraft without my bag(s).

Side note: she has too many carry-ons…I wish gate agents would enforce the two-item limit…

It seems that as passengers left the aircraft she saw his cable and grabbed it on her way out (she was seated several rows back). If this is real, someone must have seen her swipe it and informed the owner, who then confronted her on camera.

He’s too dramatic…but if she really swiped it, shame on her and she deserves the blame.

Finally, I’m of the general opinion that when you see something, you leave it. I know many good samaritans want to pick it up and turn it in, thinking it will be safer that way, but if we all just did not touch what wasn’t ours, someone could go back…even hours later…and reclaim what was lost.

Please. Let’s not compare the marketing genius Tiffany Gomas ( crazy plane lady) to this “bag lady” If you need to move house, you need United, as in United Van Lines.

How was the dude over-reacting? I’d have been POed, too. Dimes-to-dollars, that THIEF wasn’t planning on returning it. I’d have reported it to the flight crew & gotten security involved, if the witness was willing to report it. Facing consequences is the ONLY way thieves ever seem to learn NOT to steal. Imagine losing the cost of a flight, all for a $10-20 charger. Talk about a Dumb Blonde!

He was overreacting in that he had her caught and had witnesses. After she confessed she had it, why did he escalate the volume…it was self-serving for TikTok views.

Absolutely not over reacting, this lady STOLE his charger, he has every reason to let her know, she was gaselighting the hell out of him. She should have been kicked off the plane and charged with misdemeanor.

And the irritating thing is the extra baggage she got away with taking on board!

As usual, we’re all too quick to pass blame without hearing both sides of the story. After watching her video, I’m inclined to say this man was the crazy one, not her. https://x.com/CollinRugg/status/1839018185682485678
